I would try to live in indiana...over Illinois. ...due to lower taxes and better govt.
It's on my list of options. Dyer Indiana is around 30 minutes from work.
I start Wednesday. My goals are to lose weight and get out of credit card debit and not give up. I am 35 am I going to be on the older side of a new employee?
I’m 33 lol. We’re good. There’s people from all walks of life! Good luck!
I’m 54, just spent 15 months as a CCA. Converted to a regular on Nov. 5th. “Old” is a mind set. Take control of your mind, dictate your goals to your mind. Then put your efforts into your goals. Go get it! 💪🏻👍🏻
We have an RCA in his 50's. Don't worry about age.
I love the positivity on here! I should have never looked at the USPS reddit page it's the opposite. Im ready to go. I cant wait to know what im doing out there, im ready to soak everything up and get my body off a forklift and back in shape. These videos, a couple of David Goggins videos, have me ready to go. 2023 going to be a good year.
@@bodhi419 reddit is filled with negative pussies who have no idea what hard work is and what the real world is like.
I was a mha for the holidays...my end date was 12/31 but they extended us til 1/13 I got called back 1/26 for the mha position ...i accepted it and was suppose to start 2/11 ...but i applied for cca on 1/29 and just got a call today to start that position ...I turned down the mha only because I work better by myself and I didn't like the drama...I hope I made a good decision lol because I start cca orientation 2/27...I feel like I turned down a career job to start all over ...please tell me I made a good decision lol
You'll make good $ that's for sure

When does seniority start for CCA?
Your hire date
@@MailmanNick hire on as a regular? Im coming from 8 year on the railroad, I have eight years in on the Railroad in my seniority still sucks. Also, if I may ask, did Usps furlough?
@@ralval5376 you get a seniority date as a CCA. You'll have more seniority over people getting hired after you
How much is your cca pay this year?
Just made a video about it
Does your score on the exam determines what your starting pay will be?
Not at all
What is casing?
Putting mail In delivery order
I need a don't treat me like a 204 B t shirt lol
I might be making some we will see
Would you be willing to do a video call with someone looking to start and needs advice. I’m currently delivering pizza making 50k a year. Super easy. Cash every day. I’d appreciate if you could get back with me. Thanks man!!
That's actually pretty good for delivering pizzas. I need to do a Livestream soon. You can always message me on Instagram
@@MailmanNick it’s super easy just a lot of miles on my personal vehicle. Dead end job and I’m 28. Scared to leave this easy money for USPS. But absolutely brother will do. What’s your Instagram.
@@MailmanNick found your Instagram lol thank you
Next year you’ll be at 6 figures
My pay will go up I'll definitely hit over $80k
@@MailmanNick are you talking about base pay? This my first year I’m hittin $75,000 before taxes

So you will sell your house after owning it for only 2 years or you are only renting it ?
Selling it under 2 years. I'll have to pay capital gains tax but I need to move to a better area so when the weather gets nicer I'm out
@@MailmanNick If you did indeed made a profit after real estate commissions .. then it will be tax free - the first $250,000 gains. Hopefully you made a profit after you sell it. I am sure your interest rate is much lower than what you will get today , around 6.5 % for a 30 year fixed rate. I refinanced my garage townhouse a few years ago and got a 2.25 % rate... I was lucky. In general you can get a house loan about 3 times your salary (or household income if 2 people are buying it)... so if you made $75000 per year .. that is a $225,000 loan .. amt you can borrow for another house.
@@jimmywalters3071 I have a basement I don't even use so I plan on downsizing a bit. I called the lender today I told him I want $185k max. In Illinois suburbs that can get me something decent in a good area. I don't need 3 levels if it's just me but I do plan on stopping dating around eventually so still want a decent amount of space.
@@jimmywalters3071 2% is really good
@@MailmanNick so your brother won't live with you ?
yay stay away from the post office😊👍
Please find peace. I'll be praying for you
Hey Nick I wonder how it would be to make a career in CCA as an immigrant ? Would really appreciate your reply. 👏🏽👏🏽
You need to be a citizen it's a federal job
@@MailmanNick yep I know it’s a federal job. What about Green card(permanent resident) holder willing to make a career in CCA ? 👏🏽
