He forgave Liv and treated it like a big joke and hoping Robert wouldn't find out, just like he did when Liv called the cops on Robert because she thought he had her dad killed, and the way he thought it was so funny when Liv stole the money at the store and threw fruit. Aaron should have sat down with Robert and Liv as soon as possible and had a "family meeting". it would have showed Liv about honesty among their little family and also about taking responsibilty for what she did and giving her the chance to apologize to Robert directly. At 15 she is old enough to learn accountability and they Aaron, who seems to be the nucleus of their little family needs to take the lead here.

Said it before, I blame Liv and the whole Gordon ordeal. It's as if they are scared of each other and are cautious to surrender completely.
I also think this has nothing to with them beeing straight in real life, I mean at the end of the day both of them are talented actors and during the recent soap awards they did not have any problems beeing really close and animated together, hugging or giving a peck on the cheek to eachother. Ironically it almost felt that they where more comfortable beeing close to eachother in the real life than on the screen. ;9
Writers were trying for an instant family unit angle, and, in my opinion, it got out of hand. Liv was introduced way too early and is sucking the life out of Robron. Previous episode is a beautiful reminder of how well they fit together. ED more of that , please!

Oh my, Aaron fails his first test to return a bit of ALL the support and counsel Robert has given him, and it is a big fail. To Robert: Hang -in there. Aaron, a fighter, but soft and honest. People easily take advantage of him. He is like a conscience, role model, to Robert. He helps Robert to be better.

I agree with what you were trying to say in your first part of that comment. After everything Robert has done again and again, I mean, serious stuff, and even to this day hiding HUGE things from Aaron, it is nor understandable how some people can be so judgemental with Aaron for not trusting Robert or for learning a fact AFTER that fact has happened, or for trying to protect his little sister who also has just went through so much. However, I don´t agree with the second part, they are not good for each other. There´s no reason to belive that after everything. Of course writers can decide whatever they want, and they are heading in that direction it seems, but as of now, there´s really no reason to believe that. Aaron deserves a GOOD man, a good man can also protect Aaron from himself you know? Like the previous great men in Aaron´s life, who did him so much good at way more pivotal moments in his life.

Getting annoyed at this channel being full of so many fickle "fans" who lack any kind of understanding and can't be arsed to see things from each characters perspective. A lot of people on Twitter are noticing this and it's pissing them off as well. Aaron is not doing anything to try and hurt anyone here, in fact he's trying to protect two of the most important people in his life! I'd say this is a hell of a lot better than holding someone hostage whilst pointing a gun at their head all because you want to keep a good reputation and a bank account full of millions! It's crazy to think people here defended someone like that but can have such little faith in a young lad who's come so far after years of emotional and physical abuse and is now struggling to keep his family safe! Shame :(
Regarding the hostage thing Aaron set that all up in the first place, and Robert has done a lot in the name of protecting Aaron as well.Yes Robert has done a lot of bad things but so has Aaron, Aaron has comitted several criminal acts. The village is full of people who have killed and/or comitted assult.
I kind of love you right now, because, yes. Seriously. I'm not saying Robert hasn't grown and learnt from his experiences, or that he's not come such a long way from where we found him because Aaron brings out a side in him he's never accepted before, but Aaron's been through so much, Robert having done half of it to him, and he's trying so hard to hold onto everyone and hold them together, and he's struggling to cope with how he seems to get it wrong every time. They're both trying, they've both been through their fair share, but no one magically recovers from the darkness in Aaron's life over night, so I'm personally just hanging in here and enjoying the ride because I know they'll get there in the end. I wish everyone else could see it the same way, too.

I whole heartedly agree which was the point of my comment earlier. Aaron is honest, caring, and protective of those he loves. He is also fairly forgiving. It is easy to see where he is coming from and why. He is also emotionally wounded and may never fully recover from the abuse he endured. Right now is still a very sensitive time for him. I can see Robert's reasons for feeling upset. He wants proper time to really be with someone he actually loves and loves him in return. He needs it, and it is upsetting when needs are not being met.

Not being up front with Robert about what happened with Liv 😡 Once Arron knows Liv did a runner, he will beg Robert for help to track her down, Robert will fell bad that Arron can't cope with the stress (cue Arron's water works/crying), Liv with join in with her crying for forgiveness & Robert will tolerate it for the love he has for Arron & Chas will see Robert has changed to be a better man. i actually found it surprising how luke warm their greeting was after 24 hour of Aaron freaking out about Robert. When he walked in it was like he'd just came home from work. And before anyone starts reminding me about all soap couples changing, be honest and realize if it were a Coira or another couple there would have, at the very least, been a hug. but i suppose since they gave us a kiss the other day, they've reached their affection quota.

I think there was a mutual attraction, but Robert being Robert, "going for what he wants", made the first move. How is it that Aaron doesn't deserve someone to love him with every fiber of their being? Aaron has endured some heavy situations, especially what came out with his father. Tell me who doesn't walk away emotionally unscathed from such trauma. That moment when you realize you are giving up on Robron...I am sick and tired of this storyline! is soooooo dull. The writers just don't know what to do with Aaron and Robert!! They took a couple with lots of spark and chemistry, and 2 very interesting characters and turned them into something unbelievably boring!! I'm tired of this onscreen fights and offscreen makeups. How difficult can it be to write something interesting and capturing for 2 super talented actors? The reason why Robron became so popular it was because they put together 2 very strong characters that had an amazing onscreen chemistry. Now we have a sparkles Robron and 2 all over the place characters! To give an example, what the heck has happened to the Robert we learned to love and hate??? The real Robert Sudgen will not feel intimidated by an interrogation at the police department. He went there before, knowing that he was guilty of killing Katie, and was him the one playing mindgames with the cops and not the other way around! Now he is freaking out by the proofless statement of that Ryan kid?? Robert is so out of character it's painful to watch!. Hope the writers find a creative way to bring Robron's lost spark back. These days Robron is not longer keeping me on my toes.... And it's so sad.
And that´s one of the many reasons I´ve been saying since the end of last year that the decision of reuniting them is a mistake. Robert is vboring like this, he was brought to be what he was last year, or at least a Charity-like type of character. The chemistry is/was crazy, but chemistry usually always goes away once the story is not about an affair, secrets and all that drama. Imo the story should have ended in big fashion last year, around October. It had been a great year of big drama. We loved to hate Robert and he could have gone onto the next story being the manipulative and clever youbng man he is. And it is sooo unfiar to Aaron´s character too, after everything (which is what really puts me off). Somehow they will manage to make great things cause the show is great overall regardless, and the actress are almost all of them so damn good. But...
I stated last year that if Robert and Aaron were to get together they would become a very boring soap couple. I liked Robert because he was the town villain. He also had such an incredible hold on Aarons affection. They were a dynamic couple then. Now I do not know the proper words to put to this couple. I find it strange that the writers did see fit to have Aaron hug Robert after spending a day in jail. Please don't say that Aaron is not that affectionate. Yes he is and has been. I was shown more passion from the guy that use to beat me up after school then Aaron showed Robert after being in jail. I am not looking for them to spend the day in bed ( it would be hot). I just want to believe and feel that they are a real couple. Great show still.
I think Liv is a great new addition. Granted I don´t think this is one of the Aaron´s story best moments, but it is also cause Robert being there puts me off, not just her. I'll have to disagree as well. Maybe because the writers give her some adult dialogue that viewers forget she's a child. Exactly. When Robert came back he told Aaron about Ryan's statement as if it were going to be a revelation. THAT was Aaron's chance to be honest but he played like he didn't know anything. If Robert hadn't worked it out, Aaron would have kept lying.

I have a feeling Aaron is finally gonna say "I love you" to Robert before the week is out. When he spoke to Liv about how everything Robert has done over the past few months is because he loves him and his fear that he could lose him, you could hear it in his voice - Robert means the world to him and I think after over a year of waiting, Robert is finally gonna hear those three little words again!
I am not for Aaron and Robert getting back together again but we all know that the writers are going to get them there again. I only hope that this time they will have Aaron doing the apology and grovelling instead of Robert. It is full time Aaron accepts responsibility...

It's really obvious that Aaron loves Robert (and vice versa) and is really scared & worried about the possibility of losing him, but I just hope he could show his feelings more or even say them aloud. The one moment I had problems watching this clip was when Robert returned back Emmerdale: your BF has been in jail cell 24 hours and Aaron didn't even hug him to welcome the other man back home? It felt bit strange, even bit cold.

Aaron waiting to tell Rob it was live does not mean he's turning in to a manipulative Dingle. Come on now, Aaron has a big heart for the most part. Though I love Robron in reality I understand that it'll take Aaron months if not longer to really heal from what he's been through. So I will not blame him for making the occasional bad decision. Making him out to be the bad guy because Robert is doing better is not right. The abuse storyline was well done so let's have his healing process be just as realistic.

Don't forget it wasn't long ago that Aaron actually got sent to prison over Robert. Robert protected his brother and tail this day never told Aaron, who was responsible for spotting him and allowing Aaron to take the blame.
RELATIONSHIP ASPECT
I feel that Aaron and Robert are what the other needs. Robert is ruthless and clever, not much of a physical fighter. Robert protects Aaron, even from himself. Aaron, a fighter, but soft and honest. People easily take advantage of him. He is like a conscience, role model, to Robert. He helps Robert to be better.
Aaron was arrested and sent to prison because Adam and Vic made a video showing him hiding the gun at the scrapyard: at the time, Robert was in a coma - he had nothing to do with Aaron's arrest. When he woke up, his family told Robert that Aaron had been arrested for shooting him and the only time they spoke to each other was in court when Aaron told Robert he should have died. Even so, after getting Ashley's mis-directed voicemail, Robert confronted Andy, found out the truth, and immediately called the police, gave a false statement and got Aaron out of prison. Robert didn't tell Aaron that Ross shot him - and let Aaron go to jail - because he was protecting Aaron: he would have gone after both Andy and Ross and someone (besides Robert) would have been hurt or arrested.
I agree with what you were trying to say in your first part of that comment. After everything Robert has done again and again, I mean, serious stuff, and even to this day hiding HUGE things from Aaron, it is nor understandable how some people can be so judgemental with Aaron for not trusting Robert or for learning a fact AFTER that fact has happened, or for trying to protect his little sister who also has just went through so much. However, I don´t agree with the second part, they are not good for each other. There´s no reason to belive that after everything. Of course writers can decide whatever they want, and they are heading in that direction it seems, but as of now, there´s really no reason to believe that. Aaron deserves a GOOD man, a good man can also protect Aaron from himself you know? Like the previous great men in Aaron´s life, who did him so much good at way more pivotal moments in his life.

Getting annoyed at this channel being full of so many fickle "fans" who lack any kind of understanding and can't be arsed to see things from each characters perspective. A lot of people on Twitter are noticing this and it's pissing them off as well. Aaron is not doing anything to try and hurt anyone here, in fact he's trying to protect two of the most important people in his life! I'd say this is a hell of a lot better than holding someone hostage whilst pointing a gun at their head all because you want to keep a good reputation and a bank account full of millions! It's crazy to think people here defended someone like that but can have such little faith in a young lad who's come so far after years of emotional and physical abuse and is now struggling to keep his family safe! Shame :(
Regarding the hostage thing Aaron set that all up in the first place, and Robert has done a lot in the name of protecting Aaron as well.Yes Robert has done a lot of bad things but so has Aaron, Aaron has comitted several criminal acts. The village is full of people who have killed and/or comitted assult.
I kind of love you right now, because, yes. Seriously. I'm not saying Robert hasn't grown and learnt from his experiences, or that he's not come such a long way from where we found him because Aaron brings out a side in him he's never accepted before, but Aaron's been through so much, Robert having done half of it to him, and he's trying so hard to hold onto everyone and hold them together, and he's struggling to cope with how he seems to get it wrong every time. They're both trying, they've both been through their fair share, but no one magically recovers from the darkness in Aaron's life over night, so I'm personally just hanging in here and enjoying the ride because I know they'll get there in the end. I wish everyone else could see it the same way, too.

I whole heartedly agree which was the point of my comment earlier. Aaron is honest, caring, and protective of those he loves. He is also fairly forgiving. It is easy to see where he is coming from and why. He is also emotionally wounded and may never fully recover from the abuse he endured. Right now is still a very sensitive time for him. I can see Robert's reasons for feeling upset. He wants proper time to really be with someone he actually loves and loves him in return. He needs it, and it is upsetting when needs are not being met.

i actually found it surprising how luke warm their greeting was after 24 hour of Aaron freaking out about Robert. When he walked in it was like he'd just came home from work. And before anyone starts reminding me about all soap couples changing, be honest and realize if it were a Coira or another couple there would have, at the very least, been a hug. but i suppose since they gave us a kiss the other day, they've reached their affection quota.

How did Aaron seduce Robert initially? If anything, Ribert was the one who actively tried to (adorably) weasel his way into Aaron's life. The gifted, uncalled-for coffee. Followinh Aaron even after he had already expressly told him not to. Ronert was attracted to Aaron and tried everything short of overtly flirting with him to get Aaron in the sack.
He faked his car breaking down who knows how many times, stalked him at the garage, followed him around the village, so I'm with you there. No idea how anyone could think it was the other way around. And, bless him, Aaron doesn't exactly do seducing.

When did that take place? I never thought acting like a decent human being with morals was the same as seduction. I think there was a mutual attraction, but Robert being Robert, "going for what he wants", made the first move. How is it that Aaron doesn't deserve someone to love him with every fiber of their being? Do we forget the things Robert has done before the whole situation with Aaron's father, to others and Robert himself? He held a gun to his head. Aaron has endured some heavy situations, especially what came out with his father. Tell me who doesn't walk away emotionally unscathed from such trauma. It is pretty clear why he treats Liv the way he does. It wasn't that long ago Robert treated Aaron with little regard, taking what he wanted from him, then brushing him off like a boring toy.

That moment when you realize you are giving up on Robron...I am sick and tired of this storyline! is soooooo dull. The writers just don't know what to do with Aaron and Robert!! They took a couple with lots of spark and chemistry, and 2 very interesting characters and turned them into something unbelievably boring!! I'm tired of this onscreen fights and offscreen makeups. How difficult can it be to write something interesting and capturing for 2 super talented actors? The reason why Robron became so popular it was because they put together 2 very strong characters that had an amazing onscreen chemistry. Now we have a sparkles Robron and 2 all over the place characters! To give an example, what the heck has happened to the Robert we learned to love and hate??? The real Robert Sudgen will not feel intimidated by an interrogation at the police department. He went there before, knowing that he was guilty of killing Katie, and was him the one playing mindgames with the cops and not the other way around! Now he is freaking out by the proofless statement of that Ryan kid?? Robert is so out of character it's painful to watch!. Hope the writers find a creative way to bring Robron's lost spark back. These days Robron is not longer keeping me on my toes.... And it's so sad.
And that´s one of the many reasons I´ve been saying since the end of last year that the decision of reuniting them is a mistake. Robert is vboring like this, he was brought to be what he was last year, or at least a Charity-like type of character. The chemistry is/was crazy, but chemistry usually always goes away once the story is not about an affair, secrets and all that drama. Imo the story should have ended in big fashion last year, around October. It had been a great year of big drama. We loved to hate Robert and he could have gone onto the next story being the manipulative and clever youbng man he is. And it is sooo unfiar to Aaron´s character too, after everything (which is what really puts me off). Somehow they will manage to make great things cause the show is great overall regardless, and the actress are almost all of them so damn good. But...
I stated last year that if Robert and Aaron were to get together they would become a very boring soap couple. I liked Robert because he was the town villain. He also had such an incredible hold on Aarons affection. They were a dynamic couple then. Now I do not know the proper words to put to this couple. I find it strange that the writers did see fit to have Aaron hug Robert after spending a day in jail. Please don't say that Aaron is not that affectionate. Yes he is and has been. I was shown more passion from the guy that use to beat me up after school then Aaron showed Robert after being in jail. I am not looking for them to spend the day in bed ( it would be hot). I just want to believe and feel that they are a real couple. Great show still.
I think Liv is a great new addition. Granted I don´t think this is one of the Aaron´s story best moments, but it is also cause Robert being there puts me off, not just her. But being unbiased, you have to appreciate Aaron having a little sister is a great move and the casting has been perfect. ps: how did Aaron do anything so wrong here? :) :)

Agreed... Aaron allows Liv to get a way with all the trouble that she has caused without any consequences. Hell Robert may not like her but he always seems to give advice to Aaron on how to deal with Liv but Aaron never seems to listen. I am really hoping that this time Robert will actually leave Aaron for good. That DEVIL Liv has always caused trouble for the couple from start to finish. I really hope that he takes this as the final straw and get the hell away from Aaron because with Aaron poor Robert will always play second fiddle...

I'll have to disagree as well. Maybe because the writers give her some adult dialogue that viewers forget she's a child. Aaron should put his foot down more but he knows she's just looking for acceptance. Gordon and Sandra weren't good parents obviously. Don't get me wrong she frustrates me but I would never wish ill will to a child.
