  • Muezzin Firas has called to mid-day prayer at the Al-Aqsa mosque. The imam prays and the muezzin replies loudly. Firas' family has been in charge of the muezzin duties at the Al-Aqsa mosque for more than 500 years. He considers this to be a blessing from God.
Christoph from Switzerland works for the UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East), established in 1949 after the war. What was then meant as a short-term operation, is now providing care for 5 million Palestinians. Christoph documents the conflicts between Palestinians and Israeli security forces to pass them on for investigation. Today he visits a friend who was shot in the face during his work at tAida camp, a hot spot for clashes.
Netanel celebrates his Bar Mitzvah at the foot of Temple Mount, by the Wailing Wall. At the age of 13, he has reached religious maturity. He has to follow 365 prohibitions and 248 rules, like to rest on Sabbath, eat kosher and pray three times per day.
After her work at Yad Vashem, Esther drives to Rachel's Tomb to pray for a husband. The grave of the matriarch Rachel is situated in Bethlehem and holy to Jews, Muslims and Christians. After attacks on Jews on their way to prayer, a wall was build to shield the road. Esther never visited the other side of that wall.

24H Jerusalem: A multifaceted insight into Jerusalem's everyday life
The 24-hour TV show tells the story of the city through the eyes of the people who live in it and who are caught up in its contradictions: Jews, Muslims and Christians, Israelis, Palestinians and foreigners, women and men, immigrants and old-timers, believers and atheists, night owls and early risers. 70 film teams accompanied around 90 protagonists with the most diverse life stories at work and in their leisure time, in cramped apartments and spacious villas, in temples, mosques and churches, in Israeli settlements and Palestinian refugee camps.

Does anyone know what I would need to study or do to work on making documentaries like this? I want to meet new cultures learn and share about it. I feel silly asking but I’d appreciate advice :)

Blend of anthropology, journalism, and film studies.

I mean, academia is a piece of paper that says you're knowledgeable about something and spent money on it. I'd say save money for a decent point and shoot camera with a good microphone, and go out and get first hand experience. What others have said about anthropology, journalism and film studies is true, and one can learn all kinds of things on the internet, but experience is often the best teacher.
The only issue with some countries is that being attached to an agency, or having connections with people, can help you bypass certain pitfalls with the locals and the law. However, you could start by talking to diasporas within your own country, where there's a level of security for yourself to learn the ins and outs.
Just a suggestion though, hope you can achieve your dreams.

You misunderstood. She was saying that the Jewish religion is a welcoming one and will welcome all who seek to pray in their Temple. This is a simple amplification of King Solomon's prayer that when the nations of the world come and pray in the Temple they should have their prayers answered so that they recognise that godly worship is superior to idol worship.
Had she invited you into her house to feel at home and have lunch would you also have found a reason to find that offensive?

I am calling for the Colorado River U.S. to turn to a blood-like by Aug. 19, 2022. And it will not go away except by the Word of the LORD! This is as a sign of notice, for if God did not perform signs and wonders and miracles, no one would listen nor consider me. Therefore God must testify to me enough so that my testimony may be considered; and that I then can return that testimony back to Him. I am the Golden Lamp of God and I will soon rest between "The Two." My work is at hand. Come and see and hear for yourself!

There'd pobably be a lot more rocket attacks on Jerusalem by the Palestinians, & also more passenger bus bombings in Jerusalem - just as there were prior to the erection of the fence/wall. That was the reason the wall was erected in the first place (as a protective/safety measure for Jerusalem) & since then, those kinds of attacks have reduced significantly in Jerusalem.

Is there one GOD or not why people fight and kill each other It seems there is many gods who is the right one But every religion seems to pray to the only one God History is filled with religious wars and there’s ONLY ONE GOD. ..

I wonder who is behind these documentaries. They get lots of things wrong like, the translations, the customs. A bar mitzva doesn't need to read from the Torah, he becomes a man when he turns 13 regardless.

Moran of cafe mizrachi is a true nightmare talking over her guests, not allowing them to explain their point of you. Very poor PR. Next time I'm in Jerusalem I'll try and tell her in person that she is a siyut (nightmare).

The situation was way too messy before she arrived.
And I like when she or her daughter appear, they seem to be the only ones not praying every 5 seconds to some god.
The concentration of religious fanatics in Jerusalem has to be the highest in the world, and I mean the three religions.
