I get a Best in Show vibe from you two, and I’m here for it! I loved this upload so much. Fab personalities, funny and interesting. So great! I think we all have a nostalgic preference for our own childhood era toys. I know I do.
You guys are genuinely so much fun together. I wish I had a twin, instead I just had 6 really dysfunctional siblings. And yet I’m still the only one that’s been to rehab. Go figure. More more more please x
The road trip was awesome. Love that you can sing from Cabert and quoting Cereal Mom. I'm like you more into the vintage and the movie dolls, but I'm enjoying the anniversary doll releases to the play line
Glad you get the movie references! I never know if people will, because they’re usually 30 years old. lol I need to check out more of the anniversary releases!❤️
Two videos in the last few days, we are being blessed. Great fun as always from Jack and Cole with some Cabaret too. And then quoting from Serial Mom 😂 Great stuff 🎉
Police Officer Barbie is iconic. Gosh I need her! She would've been perfect for me as a kid. The very few times where I could get a doll, the rule was they couldn't be pink or girly (cause boy lol). I was cackling at the white heels bit, y'all are adorable. Your reaction to the cutie reveal doll was hilarious, but I also feel the same way with modern Barbie. At least Venus was a success. But yeah, imo vintage Barbie will always reign supreme. See ya!💚
Thanks so much!! I agree about the style and hair. Not positive exactly when the kanekalon hair started, I think late 80s, but that’s one thing about a lot of 90s Barbie that bugs me. lol ❤️❤️
When it comes to modern playline dolls, I like the Barbie Extras. Yes, they can be a bit over the top, but the clothing is good quality and you can tone down the outfits by simply removing some of the accessories, etc.
Amazing video! I do the same things with new dolls they have to have their moment of being displayed where I can see them!!! By the tv is the best spot 😂❤️
I'm always confused when I'm looking at the newer dolls , But I always look ! I like Keeping up with what Barbies up to now ... recently a younger collector turned me onto the Mermaid Barbie dolls with bright colored hair & a gorgeous sculpt. He takes the modern articulated bodies and puts them together, they are great in newer fashions & fashion avenues. I would say as a vintage collector , it is challenging to find things to add in play line Barbie . This was Soooooo much fun to watch ! , I don't have any Monster Highs but hmmm maybe ? Thnx again for being my favorite channel on RUclips !
Oh that’s cool, about taking the mermaid sculpts to use on other bodies! I’m always looking at all the new releases too, play line and adult. Sometimes they’re so fun it’s tempting to purchase. And thanks again for always watching and supporting!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
vintages are the best for us adults I don't think children today won't see them the same way or young in their 20s I'm 42 and I like the 80s barbie superstar face mold is my favorite and my sister is 22 she played with Bratz dolls as a child, and she prefers modern barbies or Bratz. she told me that barbie superstar from the 80s looks kind of old or antique lol. so Barbie is for all generations..
Yeah there’s definitely a Barbie for everyone. I try not to develop any bias for the ones in the past. At least today there’s a lot more inclusivity ❤️❤️
Fun video 😁 I love the pop reveal dolls! The scented hair is so pretty. If you put them in the freezer for a few minutes it gives a better result. The cutie reveal you have to reverse the top. I like some vintage Barbie but prefer the newer dolls especially Barbie Extra and Barbie Looks with Made to Move Bodies. Have some from each decade 😎 How did you come up with your channel name??
I've got a few fashionista dolls that are very nice and the newer Barbie movies release great characters like the Princess to musician theme and the mermaid secret films. The mystery reveal series have pretty color palettes I have yet to buy one because I recently within the last two years began getting Barbies again so first I look for the ones I remember as a friend or that I owned. The modern Barbie is focused on charm school and also finding out about talents dancing, singing, painting, designing costumes that is done clever because its also good to go along with technology like computers or smart phones.
I'm like the two of you; I prefer a typical fashion doll with great clothes. Barbie or any fashion doll that's just that; a fashion doll, is what I'm drawn to. This was alot of fun to see. You guys make it interesting and so much fun!
I just love your barbie videos. I showed my mother this video. And she said "Think what you can do with technology today" I said. Erm, that's his brother. :D . So cute of her to think that :) . Im all for the 90`s Barbie. Totally Hair. Hollywood Barbie. All that jazz.
You are totally right. No disrespect to modern day Barbie (and I myself have bought and don't mind some of it), but it really cannot compare to the golden years of Barbie that went before it. 50s-90s Barbie all the way ❤
Hello That was great! I collect newer dolls not keen on the colour reveal dolls not for me! Love that monster high the vintage dolls are fab Thanks for sharing 💜
My daughter & I Love watching you two❣️ y’all make our day ✌🏻 We’re Not into the reveal dolls. We wish they would put that resource into higher quality hair texture & clothes. The reveal gimmick seems like a big waste & kinda like kid gambling 😂 we want to be able to choose the specific doll.
I love watching you two so much! I also enjoyed going along for the ride. I'm obsessed with vintage Barbies, especially from the mod era, but it was fun watching you open the new ones. I cracked up when you smelled the boxes--I do that too! lol Love your channel. ❤
As far as Barbies, I basically collect signature looks and some other more specialized modern dolls. HOWEVER, I really love your collection, Jack, and look forward to seeing more every week. I do collect Monster High, but really only G1 and Skullector dolls. The new Venus is pretty fabulous tho. Thanks again for another fun vid!
You guys have so much fun! Love the twin reviews. I have bought some reveals and restyled them but yeah, I don't think I'll buy any more. I do want more vintage but the prices are crazy and my antique malls and thrift stores suck as far as older Barbies. How would one support the channel?
Thank you so much!! Vintage is totally my favorite. I don’t have a patreon as of yet, just the RUclips super thanks. But really I’m just happy you enjoyed it. ❤️
What a great presentation! Many thanks for a very enjoyable afternoon. I love to hear both of your opinions... And you're really know the 80s and 90s history. As to the reveals I will stick with vintage Color Magic. 😊..
Very fun and entertaining video. I didn’t like the reveal dolls. The 90’s dolls looked way more fun and better quality. Older is better! 😂 Thanks for doing this video together. I always enjoy seeing you playing dolls. 😊
Today's Barbies have more diversity. The Looks is my favorite current line. The outfit quality does suck though. I just opened some of my 90s collector Barbies. Such great detail. The boxes took up too much room. I can still sell them later on.
I think the main reason that toys today don’t seem to be as creative or objectively fantastic as they were when we were kids is because today there’s way more “corporate hands in the pot” don’t get me wrong the 80s and 90s was filled with that too but today the ones up top calling the shots are far less likely to give the “green light” on something that might be just a tad more expensive to produce if they’re not sure if it’ll do well. In the 90s they were throwing anything at the wall and wut ever stuck, stuck! Also ppl were more ok to spend an extra dollar then compared to now. So it’s all just bland and very “oh kids will like this” and no one’s bothering to actually take the time and test if they really really do. But yea I agree something about todays “color change/reveal” stuff just seems sooo much more gimmicky than it did before
Very good points! I mean Color Magic Barbie from the 60s is one of my all time favorites. And the cost of play-line dolls did used to be much more considering inflation. So I’m glad that families have much cheaper options today, even if quality tends to suffer. Thank you!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Is the tumbler even reusable? I was actually watching out for info on them, because I thought a Barbie tumbler would be cool. I prefer pre-80s Barbies, or repros of 70s and earlier. Glad you both enjoyed Venus. Monster High was/is my thing. Modern Barbie we've seen much better. Vintage Barbie definitely still takes the cake in terms of playline.
Omg....I HATE unboxing dolls now. You have to have all sorts of tools like you said. When I was a little girl in the late eighties I remember you might have one twist tie around the waist one around the neck and maybe one around the arms and that was it. It took maybe 20 seconds to unbox your doll back then. I wish they would go back to more simple boxes
@@Thedollswitness they could go back to boxes like that with just a window in them and then tape around the outside. It would be simple and the packaging would be more recyclable
I want to go to L.A. and go shopping 😜. I want to go to Mattel, you have a cute little car. I don’t like the color reveal dolls, your channel is really picking up and doing well 🎉 congrats!!! From Loel 🤪
It comes down to quality and substance. The new stuff seems so junky, not even just the doll, think about the difference between 60's Fashion Pak, Fashion Avenue Pack and today's fashion packs. The Quality today is complete junk compared to the past, with stretch poly fabric and visible zigzag hems. Unfortunately, even though Barbie is a powerhouse for Mattel I personally think the brand is in an identity crisis, she is a "Fashion" doll with no fashion. The only hope I had was the Looks line... I kept thinking like the Barbie Basic's, they would come out with real fashions for them... doesn't seem like that is ever going to happen. Like many companies, Mattel is publicly traded, meaning shareholders want bigger profits and cheaper items sold at a higher price. Then competing with companies like Zuru (like their fashion balls) and MGA, both privately owned companies, that have more ability to put out higher quality products because they don't have shareholders crying they aren't making enough. Don't get me wrong, I love Barbie, I have a room full of them mainly from the 60s but some newer ones too... but if you compare a $25 Barbie to let say a $25 Rainbow High... The Barbie will be wearing some cheap poly outfit with little to no detail, cheap molded plastic shoes and you will be lucky if she is jointed, vs the MGA Rainbow High doll, that has glass eyes, rooted lashes, fully articulated and comes with two high quality outfits that look like real clothes and usually 2 really swanky pairs of shoes, not to even mention, their face will be painted 100x better. I know it sounds horrible, but I believe Mattel is only selling dolls on the brand name Barbie... if Barbie was brand new to the market, none of us had ever heard of Barbie, would anyone really be interested in her????
I get a Best in Show vibe from you two, and I’m here for it! I loved this upload so much. Fab personalities, funny and interesting. So great! I think we all have a nostalgic preference for our own childhood era toys. I know I do.
Police Officer Barbie Protects AND Serves...Fashion

Haha thank you so much!! ❤️❤️
“There just like cool girls?” It was so adorable how he asked that. Great video!
Haha thank you!❤️
Amazing video! Cute twins and love that Hamleys Barbie the most iconic toy store founded in London.
Those new dolls are bizarre... they feel very light and the bodies are odd... I don't like when nothing bends either. I am totally vintage and proud!
I love the vintage ones. Quality and articulation were so much better then.

I’m with ya! We weren’t allowed ‘girl’s’ toys either as kids. We’ve talked about it before, but that pink aisle was just forbidden territory. lol ❤️❤️
I love that Videos so much ! But i only love Barbies from 60ties to 80ties! They had much more style, Glamour! Also the Hair was much better then now

Is the tumbler even reusable? I was actually watching out for info on them, because I thought a Barbie tumbler would be cool. I prefer pre-80s Barbies, or repros of 70s and earlier.
Not a fan of the reveal stuff, slime, blind boxes, color change features, etc. I'm old-fashioned.
I don't like the reveal stuff for kids because it's like gambling.
I miss slime
