His backing band on this recording is none other than the "Funk Brothers", the Motown records house band, even though Jackie wasn't on Motown. The Motown musicians were moonlighting. They did this often because, apparently, Berry Gordy, head of Motown, wasn't paying them much.
Brotha D, Kudos! I see you dig "Old School' as much as I do. We young-ins should never forget our world;d-class musical tradition and pioneers ... cuz ain't nothing like it. Keep on that good keeping on ... sho nuff'!
Thank you....yes!! you're right we shouldn't...I won't it's the best stuff....not to be played with...Thank you for watching and commenting..appreciate it....Peace and look out..I got more coming...
I wrote it down Ms. Patti...I'ma get to it..This time in music has so many great artists it's just crazy to think there is nothing now....absolutely nothing...
Jackie and Elvis were great friends! I forget the movie title, but if you ever react to Elvis’s movie clip where he is singing “Return to Sender” onstage, you will see that Elvis keeps on breaking out into smiles and almost laughter during the performance. Well, that’s because Jackie Wilson was part of the off-camera movie “audience,” and kept making comical faces and gestures at Elvis to try and crack him up! Lol! 😂🤣
Had to stop and subscribe when I saw Jackie Wilson. I love this song AND his dancing. Great song choice. ❤❤

"Lonely Teardrops" is a certifiable Jackie Wilson classic, too.
Hey Ms. Joanne....Thank you...I keep hearing about lonely tear drops....guess I'm gonna have to do it lol
Yes please do lonely teardrops.
Jackie could really sing and dance! RIP Mr. Wilson.
Yes he could I enjoyed that...didn't know he inspired the greats....He's my mothers favorite...🖤
@@Dabridge4009 I notice that these ex boxers, James Brown and Jackie Wilson, have a certain foot movement that they use in their dance steps.

You might consider some songs by Roy Orbison like in dreams or pretty woman
I thought this tune could be gospel music.
Not far fetched..Jackie inspires with this
Ever seen Janet Jackson dance?

No he wasn’t. Nice thoughts but no. They didn’t meet until 1966.
