You two are a huge compliment to your mom! All the mannerisms and laughs you guys have sound so much like hers, delightful! Laura, your videos are such a joy to watch! Thanks for the greening of the grass, Ken! Looking forward to future updates! Great job!
THAT is a top-tier suggestion! I would love that! I mean, we're already enjoying Laura's and her parents' gardens in tours, it only makes sense to add Monica and Nick to the line-up. : )
This might be one of my favorite projects you've done. So nice to see a small space be transformed and it's such a treat to see how happy and excited Monica and Nick are about the space. You're a good and sweet sister. : )
The view Ken did adding the “grass” really made the entire space come together. Your vision for the yard was spot on. They will spend hours and hours enjoying it for years to come.
Just gotta say first of all, “Bravo to Pedro and his crew!” They did a fabulous job! And WOW! You, Monica, and her hubby have done a super job! It’s all back-breaking work that takes a lot of energy to create! Well done! It is only going to become a more enjoyable space throughout the years! Love it!!
This transformation is beyond belief! And it's a joy to see how tickled Monica is! The hummingbirds are already having a party & those chairs are situated perfectly to oversee it all on the patio. It shows how you can turn a smaller, blank canvas of a space into an oasis. Wonderful to watch in every way! Tell Ken thanks for the photoshopped grass!
This is one of my favorite videos because Monica and her garden size are closer I think to the typical viewer. It’s been a joy to see this space come together with thought, materials, hard work and beautiful plants. I was like Monica 2 years ago with irrigation and thanks to Laura’s tutorials, all my beds are now on drip. I have 5 zones off of 2 hose connections and three timers (2 double and one single). Everything is thriving. Thank you so much.
Monica’s backyard is amazing. Please give us progress videos as it grows. The dark mulch really makes everything look so much better. Great job, Ken, with the grass!
Thank you so much for showing a real-time version of Monica's first foray into setting up irrigation to a raised bed. I've probably watched you do it at least 20 times, but I would still be a little intimidated to do it myself. Watching you walk Monica through the process while she did the work was kind of comforting.😂
We love a good Monica feature here in the cheap seats. You guys work hard and therefore you deserve the fruits of your labour. Enjoy... Amazing Content. Perfect quality videos and stupendously kind-hearted individuals. Great Job Garden Answer.
Monica's backyard has everything a gardener could ever want on a smaller scale-it is absolutely gorgeous!! That trellis against the fence is definately a borrow worthy idea for others, so pretty!
First and foremost, Thank-you Nick and Monica for inviting us to your home! I must say one of my favorite videos! The closeness felt in following you and Monica during this renovation is confirmation that we RUclips Gardenanswer followers are truly family. Sisters creating memories for a lifetime! Sent chills all over my body seeing it completed! These videos are a must for your parents to see and forever cherish! Thank you for bringing us along for the bonding, love, and passion that we all share. GORGEOUS!
This was a blood, sweat & tears day - you two are astounding!!! Many thanks Ken for the layering over of grass in the video!! 👍🏼 Completed the picture. Monica’s yard is an oasis already - she must be amazed at the transformation. And the birds are already visiting! Can’t wait to see how it all matures out!!
I love watching you two interact - it’s so sweet to see you both working together to make Monica’s garden dreams come together. And I love that Monica has her own style and that you support her developing her space rather than trying to take it over. Such love & respect for one another:) and I love her sweet nickname “Monicas.” We are big on nicknames in our family too. Very sweet video of you two girls.
I don’t mean to be a Debbie Downer but showing the plant “fails” and saying it just happens sometimes makes me feel so much better as a gardener. Not wishing ill on your plants but it’s like seeing an Olympian practice and not just watching them at the games. Thank you for keeping it real.
Agreed! I bought 3 of the exact same plant, same group, same store and time. One died, one is struggling and the other is doing great. It’s nice to have someone remind us that plants do their own thing.
That has also happened to me. It can be a bit frustrating especially when you have a design in mind and a replacement plant is no longer available. It most often happens with shrubs for me.
Today I installed my very first drip system while coincidentally watching/listening to this episode! I loved when Monica said “This was easier than I thought!” because I felt the same way. I have been afraid to install it for months!! Thank you for being such a good teacher and for showing me that gardening isn’t as hard as it first looks. Garden Answer is a good friend and company when I’m gardening on my own 💚
So happy to see Monica and Nick's yard develop into a beautiful garden! I am loving Monica's excitement not only for her space but for her humming birds! I have the same addiction❤. Please keep us posted as this area develops!
Congratulations to Monica and Nick. Making your home your castle to enjoy. I must say you two sisters did A LOT of work to button things up in this video! Great job!
After watching your channels since 2020 something dawned on me today. I trust your teaching and illustrations of gardening more than any other garden podcaster. Then today watching you work with your sister, I was amazed with the “Girl Power” going on. I’m ready to tackle redoing the drip system in my garden and trust myself to have enough strength to get it done. Thanks so much.
What a blessing it is to have your Sis live close by to do projects like this together! I did notice that Monica needs a HoseLink to complete the project! 🥰😎🙂
Hey Laura & Monica ,Love seeing sisters working together & helping & teaching each other. The yard is beautiful and it’s going to be even better once everything grows.Yes it’s so much fun to see hummingbirds enjoying your space.
I love when Laura assists with family/friend projects! I get so many awesome ideas from these because I can better relate to their scale and applications. Thanks!
Monica, I love red flowers too! Also, you are your mother's daughter, romancing the ordinary with the gorgeous plant tags. What a beautiful space!! Thank you for sharing your project with us.
"And Monica personally did two (installed drip in the beds) herself." Laughing at Monica's "Whoohoo!" response that came from around the corner of the house. You two certainly demonstrate that sister bond!
You have really given Monica and her husband an incredible house warming gift that will last forever. The hard scape is my favorite the planting is icing on the cake. Great job and can’t wait to revisit in a few years to see the growth and even more transformation.
Awwww I love Monika’s yard. So cute and so well laid out and manageable. Great job and I’m so happy to see that you showed her how to do the irrigation system so that she can move forward in her space by herself.
You are so sweet and patient with your sister teaching her how to install the drip. ❤️❤️❤️ She’s a fast learner too. It’s great to see your family videos. I can just imagine your kids watching these videos 20 years from now and being filled with joy.
This was such a great video. When Monica finished her drip section i got a tad emotional! So sweet to see you teach her something like you teach all of us everyday! It's so cool seeing you and your family, and your gardens, grow over the years (I think back to when Monica didnt necessarily want to be on camera). Just thank you for sharing it all with us ❤
1/4 DRIP … a life changer- thank you for introducing us to it over the years! But Laura makes 1/2 connections look so easy - you must have the bionic super power hands ! I now use a lighter to heat up the ends slightly and that’s a life changer too because as I get older - I just can’t do it!
Monica's backyard turned out so well. All she needs is an orange calico kitty to keep her company in the garden. Like the way you and Aaron support your families, your church and the town. You are a real blessing to so many. Now let's hear you and Aaron accompany Monica for another rendition of "Oceans".
I adore seeing the sisterly bond over gardening with you two. I am one of three girls and am the only one who loves gardening. I get it from my Daddy. He had the "Green Thumb". I try to get my nieces involved as often as I can and they seem to like it so far. But uh seeing you two warms my heart. Especially when you asked her "You're coming over to my house to grab some annuals, right?" and Monica's happy smile "Yeah". How fun. Just like sisters.
Ah I loved seeing this project come together. Your whole family is so wholesome, I love it! I'd love to see some updates in the future if Monica and Nick are up to it 💚🌱
You guys did such an amazing job turning a boring backyard into a garden paradise, 👍👍 to everyone involved in creating this beautiful garden. Can’t wait to see it as it matures over the summer! Enjoy your space Monica and Nick!!! 🌿
Now I need to get out there and plant some things and mow. I naturally am more low motivation. So I NEED to get my encouragement from other people’s successes. I am encouraged to accomplish the things I have left to do. Blessings to you all for your willingness to share in giving knowledge. Thank you sincerely.
Wow. Wowowowowowowow. I can’t believe this transformation! It’s truly stunning, even in its infancy; even without the grass. Everyone who worked on this did a phenomenal job. So happy for Monicas.
An absolute Wow! Fabulous design. Loved seeing you two sisters enjoying working together. Not forgetting Nick's beautiful trellis 👏👏👏 A job so well done.
Wow! Monica’s yard is just beautiful. When Pedro and his crew started, I couldn’t imagine they were going to get everything in that small yard. But, they did. I think the raised beds y’all made are spectacular. Thanks for sharing. ❤️🌿🌸🌿🌺
What an inspiration you have been. My wife and I watch daily and have learned so much. Like your sister we have a new home in Idaho that was "Moondust" and weeds in the back yard. We've added sod, trees and built raised island beds. Yesterday we traveled to Andrews Seed in Ontario. We met Susan and had a wonderful conversation, she and I exchanged ankle stories and everyone there was fantastic! We got a wagonload of plants for the backyard and can't wait to visit again. Thank you and your family for all you do, God Bless
Monica’s landscaping looks beautiful and when the grass was photoshopped in, wow, it’s fantastic! She and Nick are going to really enjoy their backyard. Thanks Laura!
@ 17:00....Luv. Luv. Luv seeing you and Monica working together on their place...what a gift you are to each other..... and I imagine your Mom. Dad, and brother will luv watching this also.❤❤❤😊
Well Monica’s backyard already looks like something out of a magazine! What a transformation! Love watching you, Monica and mother hangout together. So precious 😊
That is a beautiful space, you’ve done a wonderful job in transforming an open and new space into a beautiful backyard. I’d want to stay home and admire it every day and maybe one day you will play badminton on that green lawn!
I love how y'all work together and how you coach her though running drip lines. Lets hear it for a wonderful teacher and her willing student! Great job ladies!
Wow, amazing and it is not even finished!!! Beautiful yard and the fact that you both (and Nick) worked together to accomplish all of this is wonderful! Loved the photoshopped grass at the end 😃
Nicely done!! Can't wait to see wat kind of fountain or bubbler water feature Monica n Nick install in the center of their raised vegetables beds garden.
I loved working in the garden with my oldest sisters. Now we are in different states, so we talk every morning about our gardening. I share so much of Laura’s tips and inspirational =ideologies. It’s such a blessing to have a sister! Loved watching you two together.
oh my gosh I love Monica and Nicks space!!!! It looks awesome and I am so excited for them to keep transforming it to what the want. Thank you Laura for letting come along to watch this great transformation!!!!
Monica’s back yard is amazing. The transformation is unbelievable. The stone work makes it look so nice. What a beautiful back yard. Laura you have vision for changing blank spaces. 👏👏❤️❤️
This looks so good! 🤩 I love that Ken photoshopped in the grass. I'm sure I'm not the only one that was thinking, "I hope we get to see it once there is grass!" LOL! Great job, ladies! ❤
Your Mom and Dad should be very proud of you two! You both are very strong & intuitive to your family & your gardens. Two great sisters and friends 😊 What a great video💚🌻🌼🌷🌺
Awesome spaces going to be nice beautiful as it grows, I really like them special touches, corner covers on beds. What a beautiful idea's, and Nick's trellises great addition, lov Ur Works ❤
This is one of the best "fun" tutorials on installing drip, I really appreciate your close up shots and explanation Laura. I have to redo my old drip system so watching this really helps. The yard looks so good, I love the design and the trellis takes it to another level. Espalier on the fence will look fantastic too.
I'm so happy for Monica and Nick to have their space coming together and helping make their house a home. May they have abundant blessings rain down on them.
Laura’s enthusiasm is such an amazing energy to witness. They say grounded (to the earth) people are the happiest people & Laura is such an example of this. I no longer have a garden, but I do have lots of houseplants. I even invested in a grounding mat that I put my feet on every night while I sleep. It is so critical to connect to the earth’s energy every day. It truly makes a difference in one’s mental health. At least it does for me! 🌍❤
Beautiful !! Monica & Nick are really going to enjoy this LOVE the rock wall and stone❣️This turn out beautiful. I can already picture it all planted up in bloom. Sweet❣️❣️😊💗💕
I think it is really sweet watching you sisters work together on projects and love seeing Laura teaching too! Plus, I love seeing Monica wearing hats, she's my girl! That's how I like to roll all the time too!
What a beautiful landscape and garden you have created!!! I just love you both!! Monica is SO appreciative it would be hard not to do more for her!!! I would love to have a space just like this!!!❤️❤️❤️
It was awesome to see you teaching your sister how to install a drip system, as well as her reaction as to how easy it was for her to learn. I would love to be able to do projects like that with my sister (she lives on the other side of the country)!
I Love when Monica whispers “I do love red flowers” like it’s a secret!
Your are right Monika!!! I love the red flowers too😍🌹
Yup I love love love red :)
Me too!
Agree!
I missed it! Now I’ll have to watch it again!

I totally agree. They sound alike when they laugh and speak. A joy to watch
I can hear your mom saying, " Oh, I love this, it's so delightful 😊 "
I think a “Monica and Nick’s garden” needs to be included in the tours every once in a while. 😊
Great idea!
Yes! And **hopefully** Monica can show us some dishes she makes with those chili peppers! YUM!!
THAT is a top-tier suggestion! I would love that! I mean, we're already enjoying Laura's and her parents' gardens in tours, it only makes sense to add Monica and Nick to the line-up. : )
Yep absolutely
Yes!! And Aaron’s sisters garden too!

...and who IS Ken? 🤔
@@gildabarboza He's the editor of their videos.
The sudden green was funny!
When Laura asks Ken to alter a video in some way, part of me secretly hopes he gets silly with it, like he's done before....Maverick - LOL

I agree 1 of everything I plant dies and it sometimes gets me discouraged, but hearing it’s normal is good
I get what you're saying! It's reassuring to know its ok to fail sometimes, we all do! 💞💞

Why can’t I see the plant tags? Did they talk about them?
@mallred7578 they didn't discuss the tags but you can see one at the edge of the raised bed when Laura starts installing drip.
Monica actually grabbed ahold of it and showed it! It’s copper and a little hard to see!

I love seeing sisters working together and enjoying their time with each other. Monica is so sweet! Laura is a terrific teacher. I enjoy you two.
What a transformation! So fun to see projects like this.
What a beautiful space! It's a perfect-sized backyard space for one or two people to maintain. Well done Monica and Laura!
What a beautiful, cozy space!
Me too!!
Wow! I can’t get over how beautiful the backyard looks already! Monica, you have the best sister ever. I bet the neighbors are jealous. Well done!
Omg, in the last video, someone said that the space looks bigger now. It totally does!!! Amazing transformation!!! 👏
Laura, you are a sweet & generous sister & sister-in-law to set-up professionally landscaped yards/gardens for your family. Kudos!
