    How is JCBs service department? I think talking about how reliable a companies parts availability and customer service is equally important. What experiences do you have with JCB in that aspect. I could have missed it in your review. Thank you for taking the time to review the equipment it is very helpful information.

    Not sure why but jcb mounts a single flange track roller in front, that's what causes vibration when carrying heavy loads. All other manufacturers except for case have triple in front. Roller rides on rubber part of track instead of steel inbead

      I agree wheeled 270 and 3tsw have enough power to weight ratio. 3ts track needs more power. Demoed 2ts had enough power but it was tippy and hard to grade with .

    You can "tune" your 74HP 3TS-8T to 99 HP with a $1,400 engine tuning tool from GPT Consulting. It plugs into your ECU and downloads a reflash of the code bed. The engine is intentionally detuned down to 74HP by JCB to meet the USA maximum HP requirement of 74HP to avoid the need to have a DEF system.

  • @FarmingSK
    @FarmingSK 5 дней назад +1

    Doesn't HP being that size have to do with emission stuff? DEF requirements or something?

  • @rportugal89
    @rportugal89 Месяц назад

    With the 74hp you have the same lift capacity as many other machines that are using DEF and having to regen. In my experience selling these units I have customers try them out and see if they really need that extra HP. I still haven't had one say the 74 wasn't enough. Unless you are doing heavy mulching, you dont need anything more than 74. We ran 25, and 50hp skidders for decades with zero issues.

    • @tandtlandscapeandmasonry
      @tandtlandscapeandmasonry  Месяц назад

      @@rportugal89 not talking about lift capacity. plowing up hill and pushing dirt pile is where you have the engine issues. Would love if it was 100 hp. But yes no def is nice.

    I have an important question:
    When you extend or retract the arm of the 3TS, if the attachment has a hydraulic system, does extending or retracting the arm affect the stability of the hydraulic system on the attachment? For example, if you are using a bale grab, could it cause the grab to loosen?
    Thank you!

    I’ve been watching lots of review videos on JCB teleskids - I’m hoping to buy a track skid in a year or two, and it seems like a good fit for my work. It is probably a silly question, but does the machine have a float feature? I would just assume it has the ability to float… but no one has mentioned it in any videos, so I’m wondering if that isn’t a stock feature?? Thanks for the review, very helpful!

    Does anyone have any experience using these in less than stable/tough conditions? I'm looking at this and an ASV 75HD. Both have their pro's and con's. I'm leaning to this, but I'm concerned about it's ability to operate in deep snow/woods/mud and slight hillsides. ASV's seem to have no problems. I'm located in North Central MN.

    You DO NOT NEED A CDL CLASS A to haul that machine around. You may need a USDOT number for being over 10,000 lbs, but that's it. Not even a CDL B, because you do not have air brakes. You can very well legally haul this baby around with your normal C license.

      @@MrTraviesoRamirez a combination rating over 26k you need a class a license in Maine. Being a 13,000 lb machine you need a 17k trailer minimum. Adding a 1 ton at 11,500 gvwr you are over 26k for your combined rating. You can google this. All combinations over 26k you need a class a. Not a b either.
