This is a film about redemption. It doesn’t have a traditional narrative structure so lot of people have trouble finding a thread or even a tone and it turns them off pretty quickly. If you were you continue with Tarantino movies and get a better feel for his style you might like it better, but if you can’t laugh at cartoonish violence you probably shouldn’t even bother
This is for the host Sheila Rose. 1) I appreciate your honesty. Not everyone likes the same things. 2) I like Pulp Fiction because of the great music. (None of which you included in your RUclips video.) 3) I like Pulp Fiction because of the great dialogue. Quentin Tarantino writes dialogue like real people speak in real life. Not "movie speak". (Another thing you didn't include in your RUclips video.) 4) Finally I like Pulp Fiction because you can never tell what will happen next. That makes it more interesting, shocking and entertaining. And less cliche, predictable and boring. 5) The moral of this movie is pulp fiction is generally a fictional story about bad people doing bad things. Every main character in this movie is a bad person. They all receive consequences for being bad people. With the exception of Jules --- the Samuel L Jackson character. Because he saw the "miracle" as a sign from God. And he drastically changed his life as a result. He quit killing strangers for money. Unlike the Vincent Vega character played by John Travolta. And he ended up dying as a result. (And by the way, technically the movie is great - great acting, great directing, great editing, etc.) I still gave your RUclips video a thumbs up. Because I appreciate your honesty.
For pre context i own just over 2000 movies. I have very likely seen over 3000 movies. Pulp is in my bottom 25 for sure of all time. Once upon a time is in my bottom 10. And reservoir dogs is the worst movie of all time. Hope this helps! 😘

I am one of those who loves this movie, but what I admire even more is your honesty. Well the dialog, the raw violence/shooting, the camera work, the acting that seems authentic, the bizarre storytelling and the many connections make this movie great. But I wouldn't say it's the best tarantino movie.
Probably one of my all time favorite movies! Sorry you didn't like it so much, and no need to apologize for not liking it. Everyone has different tastes right! Keep smiling and can't wait for your next reaction👍🙂🇨🇦
😂 Nah for real, she sat blank faced through all this wild and crazy shit, but the tomato joke and Fabian substituting her pancakes got a good chuckle out of her 😂. I just chalked it up to her being a sweetheart...or maybe she's really been through some things herself, so she wasn't phased. I doubt she's messin' with the 'scrips, but who knows?
I do like this movie, but I respect that fact that you (among many others) don't care for it, and appreciate that you give your HONEST opinion. QT is definitely not for everyone, and I don't like ALL his movies.......thanks for sharing.
To me this movie is a breath of fresh air. As are most of his movies. I'm bored with the cookie cutter style of script writing and directing that most mainstream movies utilize. So I want to be surprised.
It can be a lot to take in on one viewing. The point? I think it's a moral tale. Consider this: Jules recognizes a miracle and quits the business. Vincent does not recognize it as a miracle. Which one of them dies in this movie? Butch as a child is told a story about how two men survived together as prisoners. Butch as an adult is held prisoner with another man. Does Butch escape the first chance he gets or does he risk his life to save the guy he was prisoners with? Mia is the boss's wife and gets whatever she wants. She helps herself to Vincent's drugs, how does that work out for her? it all ties together but you might need to watch it a couple of more times to see all the connections.
Yeah, I appreciate your take but it just didn’t do anything for me. Honestly. Even editing this was annoying cause I had to keep rewatching these stupid scenes. I just didn’t care for it. At all. But I’ll definitely check out another Tarantino film. Maybe this wasn’t the right one for me.
@@SheilaReactz Don't feel compelled to watch other Taratino films. While I personally enjoyed this movie, I didn't emit his other movies nearly as much or at all in some cases.
I wish you would react to some Sydney Poitier films. I guarantee you would love them. He's goat 🐐. Here's a list of some of my favorites: 1. In the heat of the night 2. A patch of blue 3. Guess who's coming to dinner 4. A raisin in the sun 5. A piece of the action 6. Let's do it again
I find Guess Who's Coming to Dinner so cringe-worthy and unwatchable. I'm the child of a mixed race couple and that movie only works as a 60s thought experiment. It's LUDICROUS as an actual movie.
This movie changed movie making. The dialogue has been a Tarantino trademark other film makers tried to emulate. The characters are very colorful and not your everyday nice people. The non-linear story telling is brilliant! Watch a few more of his movies and you will NEVER be disappointed. Kill Bill, Django Unchained and Inglorious Basterds are a good start.
I just finished my rewatch of Pulp Fiction because I felt like I didn’t quite get it the first time, either. I can confirm it’s better on a second viewing. The dialogue is amazing, and there were several monologues that I felt really showed off QT’s writing chops. Marcellus and Jules’ respective speeches are ones that I especially give praise to. The way the film balances the violence with tight and thought-provoking writing is what made it great for me. Jules’ “moment of clarity” where he is spared death by what he can only describe as a miracle is the strongest piece of writing in the film. Throughout the film, we see him callously murder others without so much as a second thought, but once we see that act of God take place, we can see his shift as he starts to wonder if God truly intervened in his life for a reason. He even starts to really contemplate the bible verse he once quoted so freely without a second thought. It’s amazing writing, but the film definitely isn’t for everyone. I personally prefer Kill Bill to this one.
This movie was a masterpiece due to its intriguing dialogue, and scenes shot out of sequence only to tie together toward the end. It was a cinematic puzzle, though violent and bloody there was comic relief. The mishaps between the two main characters were hilarious at times. This movie was one of the first of its kind regarding how the story was told. I respect your opinion and the review you gave was expected because you looked confused while watching. Bless You, and there is no need to criticize you.
It's refreshing to see someone do a reaction and not love everything. You know that people that watch this are fans of Pulp Fiction, so if you want to get likes and subscriptions, you put out a positive reaction. For you to say you don't get it, can't follow it, and don't understand the hype is real. You have my admiration. This film definitely is not for everybody. The first time I watched it, I was very confused too. However I was also entertained and intrigued, so I watched it again. Once I figured it out, I loved it. If you're not entertained and intrigued, then no reason to watch it again.
Yes movie reactors are generally sucking up to the viewer. Even if it's their genuine first time (which I seriously question, in many cases) they simply won't say they hated it. Or they downplay their disappointment and try to focus on the good, to end on a positive note. It makes sense for ratings, but not very genuine
Yep. People would hate me if i had a react channel. I would be very opinionated about content. Tarantino to me, has to four movies in the top 25 worst movies of all time. But yet has inglorious basterds as a top 10 of all time. Then just a bunch of mid. To close, i own over 2000 movies and seen over 3000 in my 40 years so i cannot make a channel. Not going to fake my way through life.
@@WheresWaldo05you actually might want to consider faking your way through life, because the real you appears completely insufferable. No one cares how many movies you’ve seen, that doesn’t make your taste in movies any less ass.
@@WheresWaldo05 Lol same. My reaction channel: I would literally never, ever cry. I'm the kind of guy who cries only maybe in funerals, depending on who died. I would make annoying comments about unrealistic this and that, good guy never loading weapons, unnecessary explosion, bad guys never hitting their shots etc. I'd by most likely laughing uncontrollably in those parts. In "Star Wars" I would be questioning the sexuality of he golden robot, whatever his name was, which would make SW fans super happy no doubt. In "Top Gun" I would be making comments about homoerotic understones between Maverick and Viper. In "Lost In Translation" I would be commenting how boring it is and making constant "shoot me" gestures. I would not even be able to react to most famous movies, since I saw them all (like anyone over 30 who isn't Amish). And actually, a 100% genuine reaction of mine would be not talking anything, since I hate people who IRL talk during (good) movies. I talk extensively with my buddies after a good movie we saw, not during it. During bad movies it's okay to talk and make fun of the explosions etc. but then you need also alcohol. Movie reactions are a weird subculture of RUclips.
I would've been on board with you it would've been refreshing.... But she thought the tomato joke was really funny and didn't understand it was supposed to be a really bad joke after all they been through. That was a little odd when it came to what's appreciated in this movie
You are too sweet to enjoy this movie. I can see a lot of people that like it a lot. But some people might get offended or uneasy with the drug use, the killing and the langage. I enjoy your reactions. You are smart and honest.
I love this channel, you are my favorite reactor. Your demeanor is so calm and mature. The script of this film is just spectacular. The banter between the characters just drips with wit, sinister silkiness, and keen, and sometimes bizarre observations. This film is ultimately, and ONLY, about redemption. Every major character suffers a trauma, that they overcome, by sheer luck, or happenstance. Granting them a second chance at life. And they better take advantage of it. Jules is missed by the bullets, Mia, survives a harrowing overdose, Marcellus is rescued from being........Good Lord. Butch, by being selfless, earns a shot at a decent life. All of these things humble, or are supposed to give the characters pause, about their wayward lives. They at least get a shot, at redemption. The only character who isn't humbled by his second shot is Vincent. He goes through 2 traumas, (the bullets missed him, and Mia overdosed on his heroin, cause she thought it was cocaine.) And, he doesn't acknowledge that maybe someone/thing is looking out for him. Hell, he accidently shoots a guy, and is also rescued from that, and IS STILL arrogant. "A please would be nice." WTF. Vincent poetically pays for his obstinace, and his ingratitude, with his life.
I was at Uni when this came out and as an audience we fell into two groups, those who loved his work and those who thought it was complete garbage. I was 100% with those who couldn't stand his films or understand the hype.
Sheila - I LOVE Pulp Fiction - I won't trouble you with the reasons why, because it's a simple fact of life that different people have different tastes in different cinema works, and I am sure that plenty of comments have already addressed your Qs about why many of us do like this Film. BUT I am commenting to make the following points: (A) I am a fan of film reactions; (B) Like most reaction fans - I look for reactions to films that I enjoyed, because it allows one to re-live your own original reaction and enjoyment from the point of view of someone who is seeing the film for the first time; (C) What's easily WORSE than a reaction that does not match your own enjoyment/emotion of seeing various scenes again is ... someone who is obviously faking/hyping/overselling their personal reaction in order to give their audience what they think their audience wants their reaction to be. If a person who does Film Reactions displays (C) above - for me that is a Real Turn-off, and I tend to avoid that persons reactions in the future. What you have demonstrated to me in this Reaction is that I can TRUST you to provide your HONEST reaction to what you're watching and I for one Applaud that and will remember to check in the next time you React to a Film that I like and follow.
Quentin Tarantino's first film is Reservoir Dogs, he came out of the gate with guns ablaze. He's kind of an acquired taste but...Mmmm That is a TASTY BURGER! 😂
Considering that is the worst movie ever made in my opinion i am amazed it was his first and he was allowed to continue. 🤢🤮 But then again way later he gave me Inglorious so.....
@@WheresWaldo05 Worst movie ever...............uh, no. You could say you find Tarantino's style distasteful, and his films off-putting, overrated etc, because of the ultra-violence and un-PC dialogue. But worst ever? You're trolling.
Wow, you are the first person who I have ever heard of that does not like Pulp Fiction, lol. Pulp Fiction was mostly praised for its original unique screenwriting, dialogue, and interwoven storylines, which nobody had done before in Hollywood at that time. Plus, John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson performances were highly celebrated which made the movie even more popular. Samuel L. Jackson should have won a Oscar. His character was his best performance in my opinion, but at least he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor. Quentin Tarantino style of filmmaking was unique and a breath of fresh air in 1994. Independent films became more popular after Pulp Fiction. So this movie is an acquired taste.
The fact that the biggest laugh you got from the whole movie was the punchline of Mia’s Fox Force Five joke tells me all I need to know about your sense of humor (or lack there of).
I believe my favorite Tarantino movie is Jackie Brown (1997) It stars Samuel L Jackson again, Robert De Niro, Pam Grier and Michael Keaton. What got me was how good the soundtrack is. If you like oldies from the 60s and 70s, you'll enjoy this movie. I'd purchased the soundtrack around when the movie was first released. And beware of another Tarantino foot fetish scene 😆
That’s fair. If I were to have watched when it first came out then maybe I might agree with others on the story structure. But it just didn’t do anything for me.
By the way ms shila if you want a great 90s movie which you probably never seen and most forgot about. The movie was called "The Ghost and The Darkness". Based (not fully accurate) on a true story of the man eating lions of tsalvo (Ghost and Darkness). These lions in real life have claimed anywhere from 60-125 people. Locals and workers at the railroad believe they were possessed and given how cunning they were id agree. These two male lions sit at number 4/5 (if you include the lion pack that ate 500 people in musatve) of the top 10 of the deadliest man eaters. Great movie and val kilmer is in it
😂😂😂 ...this movie is about transition, either you transition or you die. References towards religion showed that God was at work, when Vincent refused to believe and asked Marvin his opinion, the gun went off in response to Vincent's reluctance to believe the "Miracle" was answered. The movie is a puzzle that opens itself up to multiple interpretations, that is what gives it such mass appeal. I have seen this movie multiple times, and it gets better and better each time I see it. As Jules transitions he is elevated in life, but Vincent is cast out to darkness. The two men reached a fork in the road of life, one would choose life, the other death. The Bible verse signifies that as a once nonbeliever is shown the light.
Kill Bill is an all style and very little substance teenage gore-fest, not to mention unoriginal as Tarantino stole a few scenes shot-for-shot from the Kung-Fu genre he was supposedly celebrating. Boring.
@@HuntingViolets I don't remember the exact movies. There's video's on RUclips that show a split screen of Tarantino's scenes from Kill Bill and the scenes, w/movie title, that he took them from. Kill Bill isn't the only film he's done that with either. As for martial arts films I like? I liked some of the old Bruce Lee movies like Enter the Dragon, Fists of Fury, and Game of Death, but I saw most of them around 30 years ago so it's hard for me to remember the names.
This film differs from the generic story we are used to in other films, something that was new at the time. You asked what the Bible verse has to do with the story, when it explains it in the easiest way possible at the end and connects to all the stories. I don't know, it doesn't seem like you tried to understand the movie. But if you tried it, yes, it's one of those movies you understand the second time around.
There is no director that has as much of a “ride-or-die” fandom as Tarantino. His movies are pretty much like foods with mint or coconut in them in the way people are divided about them.
More like he points out how these points in history are similar and how they relate to his work. His movies are all things you've seen a hundred times before, but reconfigured in away that comments on their original context or renders them unrecognizable. Pulp Fiction, specifically, are a bunch of set ups to obvious payoffs, that then take a left turn and pay off less obvious set-ups. It's kind of a gratuitous use of deus ex machina in some cases, which is why Jules thinks it's divine intervention. Which it is. The only reason the bullets don't hit Jules and Vincent is because it's written that way in the script, by God(Tarantino). Overall, though, the movie is about redemption, masculinity, and de-escalation as the essence of cool.
Many people have a fascination with regards to "how the other half lives". They view themselves as being moral and law-abiding, and wonder how their lives would be if they had taken the opposite road when they were young. Would they have been good thieves and gangstas? Could they make good money as a criminal? How much more women and sex would they enjoy? Are illiicit drugs the thrill ride portrated in movies? If you needed to be violent, even murderous, to protect your turf and escape the police, could you be that way? The temptation of to be evil is a real thing. Taratino is very good in depicting the sordid underbelly of American society, and people fascinated by that underbelly eat his stuff up.
Some people don't like dialogue-driven films, or films that don't have a clear plot. It's like the people who don't like Seinfeld (the "nothing happens" crowd).
She mixed his heroin with the coke she did earlier, that causes major problems for the heart. That's because the dealer was out of balloons to carry it, she though it was coke because of that.
I think you can generally mix them and live, it's called a speedball, but her problem is she snorted heroin, which is a no-no, unless it's been diluted enough for that. Most people don't snort heroin though. In any case kids, don't do any of this garbage.
If nothing else, you'll at least know when a reference to it comes about. I love this one but on the other hand I constantly piss people off because I don't like Kubrick.
It's dialogue driven and hilarious. That makes it a classic to me. The Travolta, I shot Marvin in the face scene, and the Walken speech. those 2 scenes alone make the movie a classic for me. Would have been a better flick had Rourke played the boxer, but that's a minor quibble.
I think this is the only Tarantino film I like. It is certainly not for everyone. I think we sometimes feel an obligation to enjoy much-beloved movies, which, of course, is nonsense. Appreciate your honesty.
Well at least you can say you've seen one of Tarantino's movies now. I used to like his stuff a lot... until he said he wasn't a big fan of Hitchcock. 😅 The level of violence in some of his later films felt gratitutous IMO.
You are not the first reactor I’ve seen that didn’t enjoy this film. I don’t think this movie is popular for the story, but rather how the story was told that makes it unique. There is an edit that exists of Pulp Fiction where the story is told in chronological order. And it seems like the overwhelming response is that the edit isn’t anything special. So I get it, i just disagree but that’s cool too. 😬
No need to apologize for not really seeing what all the hype is about. I've never been a fan of any of Tarantino's work. I don't like his plots, nor do I like how he goes about his storytelling. People typically fall into one of two camps, they either believe him to be a genius, or they don't like his works all that much. To me, it's pretty much gratuitous violence & offensive language, without any real character arcs.
completely agree with you! was a teenager when this came out and never really understood the hype behind it. Natural Born Killers came out around the same time, and in my opinion is a far better film (it has been my favorite movie for 30 years now). definitely agree with your assessment. edit: just wanted to add at the time this came out I had recently just read A Light in August for english class, so the whole showing it out of order was old news to me. i think its part of why so many thought it was different and edgy at the time
Film is an art form. Art, which is subjective (matter of opinion). Pulp Fiction may be "great" for you, but I found it to be not so great. That being said, sure I'd love to hear why you love the film. A lot of people were commenting on the non-linear story structure, and the dialogue.. why do you enjoy the film?
😂😂😂 As soon as i read the title and looked at your face i was kinda delighted. You are absolutely right, Pulp Fiction was the movie that made Quentin Tarantino famous, i think, but tbh i watched it once n didn't think it was a big deal or anythilike that. It def requires a certain taste, it's not for everyone. Great reaction. One film that's good is Inglorious Basterds
6:23 your prophetic comment that is answered in the ending scene. I liked hearing it because (I think) a lot of people watching this movie see graphic violence mixed with religious language or atmostphere (e.g. the end of The Godfather) as a cool juxtaposition. It isn't, per se, unless the characters or overall plot earns it. I like your honesty. Tarantino violence isn't my taste but he is a good director. Thanks for posting this reaction.
Yeah this web of stories isn't particularly profound, inspiring, or message oriented. Just tales of sensational fuckery, which you clearly didn't find entertaining 😂. That probably means you're a very decent human being to the core. Cause someone like me, who's a bit sadistic, this movie be having me in stitches 😂😂😂. Plus, for me (and you'll see this if you watch more of his films), the way Tarantino writes sensational, and dramatic events, but contrast them with real life, everyday quality dialouge, that's also very sharp and witty, is what makes his movies such a joy to watch. He has many other good ones, some with more cohesive and meaningful plots, but this one is still my favorite. Appreciate the honest critique though.
Obviously you’re not going to be a Tarantino fan. To each their own so you won’t like his other films. The one exception I think you might enjoy is Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. It’s based around the time of the Manson murders although it’s not really about that. Has more comedic elements that might be more up your alley. Maybe do a little bit of research into the Manson story and his “family” just to have some reference to people referenced. His movies are very dialogue heavy and requires paying attention. True Romance is one he wrote but not directed by him and is a wild ride. You might like that one better also. Even though you didn’t like it which was obvious I do appreciate your honesty. I feel that the vast majority of reactor’s whether movie or music are not always honest with their feelings. Almost like they feel obligated to like everything they react to even when you can see it in their faces. Don’t be sorry, not everything is for everyone. I personally love this movie, but I think a lot of the hype may be because of the structure. That’s what really stood out when it was released. People hadn’t seen that before.
I'm a big Quentin Tarantino and True Romance is my favorite movie that he has ever be involved in. He wrote it but Tony Scott directed it. Pulp Fiction is my favorite movie of his that he wrote and directed but putting that aside, he's not for everyone and he has a very unique style.
Pulp Fiction is by far the best Tarantino film. A fresh new voice back in 1994. But it didn't age all that well. Aside from that movie, Tarantino is over-rated as hell. But what I like most about Tarantino is his PASSION for the art of movies - even if he is just a stylish hack who got Hollywood lucky.
It’s exactly what the title of the film is; a series of film noir type mixed stories about underbelly individuals that are intertwined by one character or another. It’s praised for its style of original or creative dialogue between characters as that had not been done that way previously, nor had that type of mash up of stories been filmed in this style. I enjoy it, but it’s hardly a “masterpiece”; I’ve never heard anyone considered it that. I know a few people that don’t like it or found it uninteresting. Jackie Brown & his other movies are generally more linear story telling. ✌️
Yeah I'd just stay away from QT. Most of his movies do have more plot than this one, which spends an amazing amount of time talking about junk food - hamburger sandwiches, milkshakes, pancakes, even coffee - but the attitude remains the same: no safe heroes in a world of little to no decency. I like him, but I'm a depraved GenXer, we have no morals
Oh, boy. Another person that goes against the grain and says "Tarantino's only good movie was Jackie Brown." How bold! 🙄 Tell me, what was so great about Jackie Brown?
it's less about the story told and more about HOW the story is told . this ovie was made in 1994 . back then movies followed the same structure of editing . so this was very innovative . Hence the high ratings . I think you should watch "Kill Bill" 1 & 2 , it's more story oriented .
Obviously people have their own opinion...and noone will hate you...but, you have your own style of films to watch and thats that. I dont hate on u. I just dont get it but ,quentin is a style that you have to be able to just have fun watching..so im interested to what u think is a masterpiece.....
Art is subjective, there is no right or wrong. It’s all a matter of opinion and personal taste as you commented. If you are genuinely interested, there are plenty movies that are flawless in my opinion. Interstellar is in my top 10 favorites. It Happened One Night Brief Encounter The Godfather The Silence of the Lambs Prisoners Inception Notorious Wind River Back to the Future A masterpiece series that I cannot recommend enough, German show called Dark.
Lol, one of my favorite movies, that's OK if it's not your thing !It was very original when it came out, no one had scene anything quite like it. None of it is supposed to be "cool" or "comedic", it just illustrates the underworld and how dark it is, this stuff happens.🤔
Personally, I love this movie, but Tarantino is not everyone's cup of tea. Good reaction video anyway! Don't know what a normal reaction to snorting heroin would be, but it's a real bad idea!
Not enjoying a movie is one thing. Not understanding why it's popular or considered a great film is something else and maybe not an asset in a movie reactor. Btw you won't find that quote in your bible.
I didn’t watch this reaction because I don’t like this film much… I agree with your thumbnail, though. Tarantino glorifies violence and insanity in a way that exploits the worst impulses of the audience, and I’m not a fan.
This movie has no plot at all. It's whole intention is to shock people showing a man getting sodomized another man getting his brains blown out in the car if I want to be shocked, I'll go to a horror movie The worst movie ever made
Evertbody (including me) has some classic/widely beloved films that they don't like. As for Quentin Tarantino's films, I like his 1st 2 films (Reservoir Dogs/ Pulp Fiction) and I like his last film (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), but I don't like any of his films in between. I think they're all overrated. (and I've seen them all). I think Tarantino is very talented. But he is too aware of his talent and has often been more intent on showing off and wowing us with his talent (and his dialogue, which he has a real talent for, but he often boggs down his movies by overdoing his dialogue, and taking it to a fault) than he has been interested in making good movies.(IMO)
I agree, especially with the 'showing off' part. He reminds me of a cinematically gifted high school kid who is great at the mechanics of film-making, but who writes plots that are immature and forgettable. His films, to me, are pulpy, and like a teenagers idea of a cool, violent comic book come-to-life. Out of the other 8 films I've watched, I either don't remember the stories at all, or barely.
Pulp Fiction: You either love it, hate it, or don't get the hype. I'm in the latter opinion. I saw it in the theater in 1994. Because it was so hyped, I felt like I was supposed to like it more than I did. Definitely some memorable scenes, but it's not that great IMO.
@@darrellmusk7557 I don't understand the hype either (Tarantino movies). Everything I read from what fans say (here, IMDB, wherever) is like the mirror image of my own experience, and it feels like we're from different planets. They honestly bore the hell out of me :(
This is a film about redemption. It doesn’t have a traditional narrative structure so lot of people have trouble finding a thread or even a tone and it turns them off pretty quickly. Are you on Xanax? I don't think I've ever seen someone sit there blank-faced while Vincent shoots Marvin in the face.
Thanks for the support, I appreciate it!
To me this movie is a breath of fresh air. As are most of his movies. I'm bored with the cookie cutter style of script writing and directing that most mainstream movies utilize. So I want to be surprised.
Amen!
@@SheilaReactz
Don't feel compelled to watch other Taratino films. While I personally enjoyed this movie, I didn't emit his other movies nearly as much or at all in some cases.
@@fionnmaccumhaill3257 I personally prefer Kill Bill over this one, but I enjoyed this one as well.
I wish you would react to some Sydney Poitier films. I guarantee you would love them. He's goat 🐐. Here's a list of some of my favorites:
1. In the heat of the night
2. A patch of blue
3. Guess who's coming to dinner
4. A raisin in the sun
5. A piece of the action
6. Let's do it again
and....Sneakers
I find Guess Who's Coming to Dinner so cringe-worthy and unwatchable. I'm the child of a mixed race couple and that movie only works as a 60s thought experiment. It's LUDICROUS as an actual movie.
@@zammmerjammer This is supposed to be a first time reaction channel. Don't spoil the plot for others! Like all movies, everyone has an opinion.
@randywhite3947 I stand corrected 👍🏽
I dont want to be pretentious but this is like a strong 100+ plus old wine. It requires a taste
You couldn't not be pretentious even if you tried.
And intelligence...
Hearing your final comments, I guess we are not a match. Best wishes to your channel though.
@@jacksprat418-ju5qo 🤣wow, you took that hard! It's just movies, bro.
@@TylerD288 I didn't take it hard at all. There are plenty of reactors that get Tarantino. Shelia is not one of them.
@@jacksprat418-ju5qojust sounds a bit melodramatic, but whatever, it's cool.
Kill Bill movies are embarrassing nonsense.
I'm the guy that tells you congratulations for going against people's expectations. Yeah just be real. Too many reaction channels are pandering
He goes through 2 traumas,
(the bullets missed him, and Mia overdosed on his heroin, cause she thought it was cocaine.)
And, he doesn't acknowledge that maybe someone/thing is looking out for him.
Hell, he accidently shoots a guy, and is also rescued from that, and IS STILL arrogant.
"A please would be nice."
WTF.
Vincent poetically pays for his obstinace, and his ingratitude, with his life.
I was at Uni when this came out and as an audience we fell into two groups, those who loved his work and those who thought it was complete garbage. I was 100% with those who couldn't stand his films or understand the hype.
and yet here we are
Sheila - I LOVE Pulp Fiction - I won't trouble you with the reasons why, because it's a simple fact of life that different people have different tastes in different cinema works, and I am sure that plenty of comments have already addressed your Qs about why many of us do like this Film.
I mean it only changed the face of cinema forever. No big deal

@@WheresWaldo05 Worst movie ever...............uh, no.
You could say you find Tarantino's style distasteful, and his films off-putting, overrated etc, because of the ultra-violence and un-PC dialogue.
But worst ever?
You're trolling.
Try Jackie Brown next.
I love this film. Will sweet Sheila Rose? no f way.
Its highly rated cause its art film not for dummies
I felt the same way the first time I saw it. After repeated viewings it's one of my favs of all time
That’s fair. If I were to have watched when it first came out then maybe I might agree with others on the story structure. But it just didn’t do anything for me.
@@SheilaReactz I totally get it. When I left the theater I was like ok, THAT was weird. Didn't care for it at all.
Great honest reaction. Check out Jackie Brown. To me it’s his least “Tarantino” film and my favorite of his films.
Sheila, you're too cool for this movie!
😎
You should watch _Kill Bill_ -- see a little of what _Fox Force Five_ might have been.
Kill Bill is an all style and very little substance teenage gore-fest, not to mention unoriginal as Tarantino stole a few scenes shot-for-shot from the Kung-Fu genre he was supposedly celebrating. Boring.
@@TylerD288 Other, better recommendations?
@@HuntingViolets for QT? I think Pulp Fiction is his high water mark.
@@TylerD288 How about for the martial arts film he took scenes from?
@@HuntingViolets I don't remember the exact movies. There's video's on RUclips that show a split screen of Tarantino's scenes from Kill Bill and the scenes, w/movie title, that he took them from. Kill Bill isn't the only film he's done that with either. As for martial arts films I like? I liked some of the old Bruce Lee movies like Enter the Dragon, Fists of Fury, and Game of Death, but I saw most of them around 30 years ago so it's hard for me to remember the names.
You only started smiling once mia came on screen. her characters awesome.😂🙏
It took me 2 viewings to embrace this film. The dialogue is what makes it unique.
There is no director that has as much of a “ride-or-die” fandom as Tarantino. His movies are pretty much like foods with mint or coconut in them in the way people are divided about them.
Later in his career he gets real controversial, taking on Hitler, Manson, and slavery. Eye roll. He really points out how those things are bad.
😏
Good question!!! I have No idea why people think this movie is any good. 😂
Well said
What's interesting is that while Marcellus, Vince, Jules and Butch might be criminals or work for them they aren't evil, they have codes of behavior.
That, I can agree with.
Exactly, killing people for money is not evil in itself, it's more important to have a 'code of behavior'.
This movie is highly overrated. Never liked it 🙄 Not my type of movie. Thanks for your honest reaction 👍
i totally agree with your reaction - by the way you should catch one of brando's early great performances by viewing On The Waterfront from 1954
It’s on my watchlist. 🤙
In my top 5 all time movies.....i didn't think that the 1st watch but it makes total sense on the 2nd!
Yeah, same here.
I prefer Kill Bill.
I think you would like "Jackie Brown" (1997) a lot more. Give it a try!
Natural Born Killers came out around the same time, and in my opinion is a far better film (it has been my favorite movie for 30 years now). definitely agree with your assessment.
edit: just wanted to add at the time this came out I had recently just read A Light in August for english class, so the whole showing it out of order was old news to me. i think its part of why so many thought it was different and edgy at the time
One of my all time favorites.
I say this With zero hostility, would you like for me to breakdown reasons why this film is so great?
Film is an art form. Art, which is subjective (matter of opinion). Pulp Fiction may be "great" for you, but I found it to be not so great. That being said, sure I'd love to hear why you love the film. A lot of people were commenting on the non-linear story structure, and the dialogue.. why do you enjoy the film?
please react to The Lost World: Jurassic Park
😂😂😂
As soon as i read the title and looked at your face i was kinda delighted.
You have to watch Jackie Brown soon! Still to this day it's my favorite Tarantino film.
I agree Sheila..Love your honesty..Don't ever change
I'm a big Quentin Tarantino and True Romance is my favorite movie that he has ever be involved in. He wrote it but Tony Scott directed it. Pulp Fiction is my favorite movie of his that he wrote and directed but putting that aside, he's not for everyone and he has a very unique style.
He co-wrote Pulp Fiction.
Aww so sorry youre offended. This is the greatest film ever made. 😂
Not even close. Inglorious is a million times better. Pulp is a bottom 25 of all time.
Watching the movie myself at this moment. That overdose scene was trippy!
It's a great movie, the characters and the dialog is awesome IMO.
I’ve heard this multiple times about the dialogue. What was your favorite line?
I agree, Sheila. I dont like Tarentino movies except Jackie Brown.
Elmore Leonard’s story and my favorite
Oh, boy. Another person that goes against the grain and says "Tarantino's only good movie was Jackie Brown." How bold! 🙄
Tell me, what was so great about Jackie Brown?
it's less about the story told and more about HOW the story is told . this ovie was made in 1994 . back then movies followed the same structure of editing . so this was very innovative . Hence the high ratings . I think you should watch "Kill Bill" 1 & 2 , it's more story oriented .

Personally, I love this movie, but Tarantino is not everyone's cup of tea.
Good reaction video anyway! Don't know what a normal reaction to snorting heroin would be, but it's a real bad idea!
I don't want that watch.
It's OK not to like a film, but don't give up on QT just yet. Plenty of others to check out.
This movie has no plot at all. It's whole intention is to shock people showing a man getting sodomized another man getting his brains blown out in the car if I want to be shocked, I'll go to a horror movie The worst movie ever made

Evertbody (including me) has some classic/widely beloved films that they don't like.
As for Quentin Tarantino's films, I like his 1st 2 films (Reservoir Dogs/ Pulp Fiction) and I like his last film
(Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), but I don't like any of his films in between. I think they're all
overrated.

I agree totally with you, overrated. Seems every time they hype these movies up, the more disappointed I am. Visa vee, Home alone, Forrest Gump, etc.
Youre not seriously comparing pulp fiction to home alone? 😅
*vis-à-vis
Forrest Gump doesn't get you choked up?? 😲 You have no heart, sir! 😤
@@darrellmusk7557 I don't understand the hype either (Tarantino movies). Everything I read from what fans say (here, IMDB, wherever) is like the mirror image of my own experience, and it feels like we're from different planets. They honestly bore the hell out of me :(
Npc's usually don't like good movies
