+Christina Rutherford Root touch-ups depend on how fast your hair grows out. Other than that, it takes 3-4 months before my hair starts to look a bit dull😊
I've been wanting to try henna for year. I found this video and I am ready to give it a try. Plan on ordering it from the sit you recommended. I prefer this route over chemicals. Thanks for this video!

You just clear all my question about using henna will be buying this product only one question I have thin short hair how much time do I have to leave the henna in mi hair thanks!
Wow your ur hair is so beautiful it looks soft and manageable. My question is did the henna help grow your hair? And how long did it take to see results with your hair growth...if any :)
+Beautydivine Yes I definitely think it has. Also, I take hair vitamins and I pretty much leave my hair alone for at least 5 days at a time (Monday-Friday). I only style it or do cute things with my hair whenever I'm filming on the weekends lol
Over the yr you've been using henna have you noticed a significant loosening of your curl patturn? I tried henna on my natural hair for the first time today and after washing it out my looser curls looked a bit looser. I loved how my hair felt and really want to continue hennaing for the conditioning properties but I don't want to loosen my curls too much. So just wanted to know if this was a major problem for you? I'm afraid it will make my hair straight or something.
I haven't noticed any loosening of my curls, but I've heard that henna can loosen and soften the texture of people's hair. My hair has stayed the same since I've been using it. Maybe after using henna, you could follow up with some kind of texture/elasticity treatment to help your curls to not loosen
I just came across your henna video and I must say that this was the best how to henna video I’ve come across on this channel, thanks so much for sharing. I do have one question though. What kind of conditioner did you use to get the rest of the gritty leftover henna out of your hair?
+Angela Nobles Gray hair tends to be resistant to hair color. The henna will get rid of your grays, but the gray strands will be a little bit lighter than your hair that isn't gray. Thank you for watching!
Wanted to know about damaging potential of using henna. I am transitioning but miss color. When I used chemicals my hair did not respond well to it at all. Lost a lot of hair. Also does the henna come in honey blinds colors? Those look best on my skin tone
Hi! I have zero damage when I use henna on my hair. I think www.hennacolorlab.com has a few lighter shades, but henna does not have bleaching properties. So if your hair isn't already light, a honey blonde henna probably wouldn't show up on your hair😊
I wonder how long the henna color lasts? How often do you use Henna to touch up your color? Do you find that the henna is straightening the texture of your hair?
I used black henna or my hair today and I can't see any difference than previously... I know that red henna works very well for coloring on it's own but that color doesn't suit me lol. Do I need to mix henna with Indigo to get that nice black color? In the past I've tried mixing black henna with PPD (black stone), and while I absolutely loved the deep black it gives, it also leaves a stain wherever it's applied so you have to be careful with it.
I had 2 questions about this....1). Since you only do the henna every 2-3 months do you only retouch the roots or do you put it on your entire head every 3 months? 2). Since this has protein do you still need to do protein treatments on your hair & if so how often?
+thehotpinkrd 1) I go from roots to tips every time I do this. I do all of my roots 1st and then I coat the rest of the hair 2) the answer to that question depends on your hair and what it likes. I always do a protein treatment first and then I do this a week after😊
Question☝🏾-I NEED to color my hair(using Henna) I’m way overdue but I need to do the Aphogee 2-step Protein Treatment too. Which one should I do first & how long should I wait in between 🗣HELP! Thank you 😊
I used henna and I didn't know what I was doing but it turned out OK, I guess! lollll! it washed out of my hair. where did you get that adorable hair brush from? Did they have it in purple. Great video
The brush is from Sally's Beauty Supply. The brand is "Plugged In". I only saw it in pink and orange at the store that i go to, but other stores might have other colors :-)
+Inetha Shorter not at all. My hair temporarily feels a bit dry for a day or 2 after using henna, but a good deep conditioner fixes that without any issues😊
EverSoGorgeous Thank you beautiful for responding, and yes I love this Henna and i am natural and with a few grays lol but still divafied, and yes will order more. Thank you again.😊God bless
I am afraid to use henna because I love my tight 4B curly hair. Henna is known to loosen the curl pattern. Do you find this to be the case with your hair.

+Beautydivine Yes I definitely think it has. Also, I take hair vitamins and I pretty much leave my hair alone for at least 5 days at a time (Monday-Friday). I only style it or do cute things with my hair whenever I'm filming on the weekends lol
EverSoGorgeous Thank you for your response.
This is the best henna application video on RUclips do you still use this brand I want to try it
Thank you.. great video!!! You honestly make it look very very easy!!! I'm going to try it!!!
That was a very helpful video thank you for sharing ! I was just curious if your curl pattern changed or stretched during the henna dying process ?
+Mia Victoria My curl pattern has remained the same😊 Thank you for watching!
Thanks so much for the post, this is exactly what I was looking for!
Sis always start in the back.Front of your hair will process faster because there is more heat to the front of the head. Beautiful color on you
Best video yet!!!! God bless you for posting & using step by step info. 👍👍🙌
Thank you for watching!
Can i add cocoa powder into my red rose henna for more brown tint?
Thanks alot for your reply. I will keep a close eye on my curl patturn but I'm not as worried now that I know you didn't have a prob with it.
I am 52 years old, and I only have GRAY HAIR at the nape, edges, an front of my hair.....
@Patricia Strothers you are blessed
Wow thank you so much I want make my hair burgundy but I want to wait till I grow my hair out a lil bit more. kinda scared to color it tho.
I loooooove burgandy hair. Don't be scared! Go for it!!
Just wanted to know does this henna dry the hair your looks so beautiful and healthy you make this video look so easy thanks 😊
Excellent Video! Very thorough with great demonstrations & explanations. I enjoyed this very much!
+Queen Majesty Thank you for watching!
I just came across your henna video and I must say that this was the best how to henna video I’ve come across on this channel, thanks so much for sharing.
I do have one question though.
What kind of conditioner did you use to get the rest of the gritty leftover henna out of your hair?
I do have some grays in my hair. So if i use henna will it get rid of the grays in hair? Thank for your time!
+Angela Nobles Gray hair tends to be resistant to hair color. The henna will get rid of your grays, but the gray strands will be a little bit lighter than your hair that isn't gray. Thank you for watching!
I love hennas because they are a natural way to color hair.
I'm gonna have to try henna. Its a process, but better than chemicals.
What true beauty looks like right here
Girlll you’re so pretty 👀💖😭😭
I wonder how long the henna color lasts? How often do you use Henna to touch up your color? Do you find that the henna is straightening the texture of your hair?
I used black henna or my hair today and I can't see any difference than previously... I know that red henna works very well for coloring on it's own but that color doesn't suit me lol. Do I need to mix henna with Indigo to get that nice black color?
In the past I've tried mixing black henna with PPD (black stone), and while I absolutely loved the deep black it gives, it also leaves a stain wherever it's applied so you have to be careful with it.
My grandma has been using it I've just ordered for my copper color. Wish me luck I want to learn how to section my hair.
Gorgeous hair!
Thank you!!
Amazing results. How much Mahoney color did you use with the black henna?
I had 2 questions about this....1). Since you only do the henna every 2-3 months do you only retouch the roots or do you put it on your entire head every 3 months?
2). Since this has protein do you still need to do protein treatments on your hair & if so how often?
+thehotpinkrd 1) I go from roots to tips every time I do this. I do all of my roots 1st and then I coat the rest of the hair
2) the answer to that question depends on your hair and what it likes. I always do a protein treatment first and then I do this a week after😊
EverSoGorgeous do you think this henna will okay to use beards, for men of course.............Thanks
if you check the website of the brand she is using they have henna specifically for beards.
Beautiful lady and beautiful hair!
Question☝🏾-I NEED to color my hair(using Henna) I’m way overdue but I need to do the Aphogee 2-step Protein Treatment too. Which one should I do first & how long should I wait in between 🗣HELP! Thank you 😊
Hi thank you so much for sharing so the henna is pre-mixed with the indigo?
It sure is. It's super convenient. Thank you for watching!
I wanna add a pop of color I never died my hair before so how do you suggest I do the henna treatment?
I'm going to buy this and try this in black my hair is already black and I want to cover up a few greys that I have on my hairline
Do you feel like this coloring process alters your texture/ porosity at all?
+Inetha Shorter not at all. My hair temporarily feels a bit dry for a day or 2 after using henna, but a good deep conditioner fixes that without any issues😊
When you touch up your new growth does it make the ends that have already been dyed lighter than the roots?
The color is so pretty. Are you able to use the henna on permed relaxed hair? And is indigo the color if you want black hair only?
I did the separate henna and indigo process. (my first time) Can I put any oil or moisturizer in my hair right after I'm done?
You can deep condition or apply moisture... but no oil for 24-48hrs after doing henna😊
Beautiful!! as you as well thanks so much for the info, i ordered cant wait. Voice sound like Mrs Lisa from tv show "Married To Medicine"
Thank you!!
+Alicia Grant Luckily, I haven't experienced any change in my curl pattern, but I have heard about the possibility of it happening.
