    For the past 3 years i followed ur this recipe
    Mavadu came out very well
    Eventhough i keep it in room temperature.i put it in a big jaadi and cover it with clean cotton cloth.tq mam.

    Hi nice explanation. Romba porumai.
    My mom this year did maavadu In a different way. She added veilakennai. Then she took some water and added the required salt and boiled nicely. After that she added that salt water and chilly , mustard powder as u told.

    Vadu mangai is a favorite pickle of Tamil nadu whenever I make it spoiled by fungus to day after seeing chits demo of chiara I rectified my mistakes añd hurrying to the market to buy mangoes thanks chiara

    Is it iodised salt or regular salt?? Because the taste will vary right. We are doing for first time and don't want to doubt it.

    please avoid using plastic bowl for mixing....glass container or peengan jadi is safe...i like your simple procedure and explanation.

    I have a small doubt. The mavudu already contains water. Can we add normal water to the mavudu to increase the volume of the water?

    Chitra ji! can you please recommend anyone who prepares mavadu in this style and sells it during mavadu season time? I dont like kerala style maavadu but thats what is available with all the standard pickle companies. I like this style of mavadu oorugai. could you please share any contact who do home based small business on mavadu pickle and courier to USA?
