Like KD said, he can't control the background noise by what fans are saying about him. He made the best decision for HIM, not for anyone else for himself. Now, if Steph left the Warriors, I'd be devastated, but there's no way in hell I'd burn his jersey or start bad mouthing him. He meant too much to the organization and city. Just an all-around good guy trying to do what's best for him and his family.
Lebron never did this at all, lebron went to decent teams and made them great. Kd is a pretty good player going to one of the already greatest teams of all time just to try and get a ring. Kevin is going to a team with 4 players in their prime while Lebron went to the heat who had D-Wade suffering from knee problems and a better than mediocre player in Chris Bosh. Lebron has earned 3 championships, Kd hasnt won one and in my opinion wont ever earn a championship until making a team great instead of hopping on a great team.

But when he decided to go to Golden State all I could think was: “You could have gone to ANY, and I really mean ANY OTHER team in the nba! Why the team you lost to in the finals??” I certainly don’t begrudge him for wanting to find a more promising opportunity to acquire a championship, and if he felt he couldn’t get that in OKC then of course he should leave. I was a huge fan of Kevin Durant when he was a Thunder. But when he decided to go to Golden State all I could think was: “You could have gone to ANY, and I really mean ANY OTHER team in the nba! Why the team you lost to in the finals??”
I certainly don’t begrudge him for wanting to find a more promising opportunity to acquire a championship, and if he felt he couldn’t get that in OKC then of course he should leave. But personally for me, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that he decides to go to the team that got the best of him. I mean he took the saying “if you can’t beat em, join em” to a whole other level.
