I'm in my late 60's now and I remember the first "rubber" worms. Looked like a night crawler and hard as a rock. But the bass loved them. Then it was Jake's Producers super soft high floaters in Florida Grape. That is still the most productive bass lure I know. Texas rig with a sliding bullet weight and sometimes a rattle if the water is real dark. In that lake I would have been fishing a rubber frog. We use them here in SC and the catch is amazing.
When I was 15 years old I would find hidden lakes and sometimes on private property. Some of the lakes and ponds were on golf courses. Those bass had never seen a rubber worm or spinner. After 15 I told my friends the party was over or we could be arrested. I don't condone that kind of behavior but it was fun. I live in west central Florida. I lived on a lake. I did used to find some really nice lures in the cat tails. I used to modify them. My fave was Devils Horse top water. I put solder around the end of the lure. The lure would sit in the water straight up. I'd give it a tug and the thing would drop down under the surface and pop back up and bob. It was a killer lure.
If you think that muck is bad, there was a place in Texas where I used to waterski. You had to land on shore and if you came up short, you'd end up going literally KNEE DEEP into the mud. There was a lot of clay content in the soil there, and it was like quicksand in places - ain't gettin' out without help.
Erica glad to see your vids enjoying nature the best day i had fishing in nyc i caught a 400 lb baby great white shark in the 80s fishing was great now everythings is all gone to commercial fishing sucks they killed the sport ❤❤💣💥💣💥💣💥
Whoop woop! I check every day for a post from you. Due to our age difference I’m more like a loving grandpa. I want the best for you while loving snuggles. Keep the vids coming girl, grandpa needs them 🥰
Cool that you discovered a new lake, I would have thought since it was so hidden, you’d have caught some larger ones. Regardless, it was a nice find. I was wondering since you were weighing those bass, have you fished in your pond lately? Only because I would like to see if the ones you’ve tagged (and with all the feeder fish you both stocked in the pond) have gotten any larger. Thanks for sharing, nice seeing you on the skiff again!
Sweet video nice way to get into unfished water. To tell you the truth I love you but it just can't work im in Minnesota good fishing your in Florida good fishing. Just a minute we love fishing but you love the hot weather I love the cooler weather. But if we can work it out. You have to know I'm 65 I do love your videos thank you. Take care stay safe good fishing sweetheart.
I casted a plopper right next to a gator I had no idea cause it was a long cast and as soon as it landed the water exploded with activity lol. I died laughing spooking that gator so bad.
I like to fish during the week to film so there’s less boat traffic. I also fit in places most boats can’t get to with my South Dade Skiff floating in about 3 inches. I love it
That opening sequence is why even with modern trolling motors you should still have the old tried and true anchor and rope. Pull that skiff right up and drop the anchor on shore a ways. If that is you don't like muck between the toes!
Erica take your camera off wide mode - last few videos you have used that mode - distorts you( makes you look wide also) we love you and your videos , just saying change your camera settings to Linear not wide. You don’t want to shoot people or buildings close up in wide, works for land scapes but distorts people and straight lines . 😊
Fun bushwhacking Erica! Thanks for taking us along it’s always appreciated! Keep on casting! 🎣❤️👊
You're so rad, Erica!! I loved that you plowed through those reeds to the new lake!! Nice trip!! Thanks for sharing!!

I recommend Rogers Lake Park in Odessa.
That's such a nice park and lake to fish.
Thats a Bomber Rip Shad you found first. 😊
When I fish the Skyway fishing pier I usually find a bunch of tackle others have left behind.

If you work the weightless fluke with your rod tip down and like a jerk bait you’ll get more bites
Awesome spot! Nice job. What brand sunglasses are you wearing?

Good day ! Didn’t think you was going to catch a hog out of lake starvation ! Atta girl

What minnkota is that. I love the remote, I gotta get that on my boat.
Goid stuff, as usual
Usually do surf fishing, I've noticed in your videos you mention major and minor? What is that in reference to?
if ya in the south i am wondering how many 🐍 & gators you come across while you're fishing? and what's the biggest bass you caught so far?
What lead/hook set-up are you using?
Lake Park is full of little lakes
I watched the whole video and didn't even realize she was fishing!
Use bang sent or bait fuel on your lures you will catch more bass.
VOCÊ É UM ANJO QUE DEUS MANDOU PARA ALEGRA NOSSO CORAÇÃO E NOSSAS VIDA
I casted a plopper right next to a gator I had no idea cause it was a long cast and as soon as it landed the water exploded with activity lol. I died laughing spooking that gator so bad.
Bless you
Frog would be Awsome!
What does a boat like your's fully rigged go for?
Beatiful day Princess 😊
Kisses from Argentina 😘❤
What rod holder brand is that on your boat
Hey! Love your show, but wonder why we seldom (almost never) see others fishing near you?
I like to fish during the week to film so there’s less boat traffic. I also fit in places most boats can’t get to with my South Dade Skiff floating in about 3 inches. I love it
😇can I go to fish one of this days with you? 😍thanks for your videos Erica 😊

What’s app do you use for fishing
After you do the skiff give away are you going to replace it with another one from the same builder or a different one?
What bait were you using?
Whats minor n major mean , whats the reference to?
Mercy.
Shoreline shopping...whopper ploppers!!

Sometimes there's no need to buy lures when people leave them all over the lake...👍🏼👍🏼🎯🎯😁
Skills is all I've got to say.
