How would you describe the relationship between board volume and the ability to catch the wave? I'd be curious to know the volume you found to be successful. Fellow great lake-er here
There’re all kinds of factors to consider. Just like surfing the smaller the board the harder it is to catch a wave. Mast length and foil size are major factors as well. The board I’m riding in this video is 4’2” 30L.
0:42 s you have been spoiled by the AFS Silk and other foils that wont breach when wingtip ventilates. ;) Me too....
