technically speaking, all of them *are* 7th gen+ aircraft, as Ace Combat X's timeline is 2020 (the dreaded year...), which is after the Lighthouse war. Perhaps that's also why none of X's aircraft are featured in 7, it's basically the same as adding something from the future

(seriously, fuck the multiple paths option - getting to 12c is being a bitch, and you can't get 12C and 7C in the same playthrough) Starting to wonder if Fenrir and the FALKEN are worth it. I just completed this mission and I must say it was a long and ardous one but it feels so rewarding once [mission accomplished] appears on your screen after downing not one, not two, not three but *four* FALKENS all pointing their lasers at you. 😄
TugaAvenger I flew as phoenix in my first ace combat game (Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy) I killed him I don't know how many times and has always come back and whooped the enemies asses and creamed them after making Swiss cheese outta them.

@@UltimaDoombotMK1 One. The project was temporarily put on hold since Belka was too busy staging two entire wars (5 and 6) before resuming work on it by the events of 7. It wasn't even finished yet so they had get Mihaly to provide flight data. Trigger needed a whole air force to even beat Huginn and Muninn, and they only had lasers and drones. Phoenix dealt with the original ADF-01 FALKEN, which had HUD hacking, radar jamming, backwards firing, PSM-spamming and (canonically-speaking) the lasers. Plus, he did that and immediately went after the first of Megalith's kind (the latter of which was described to be the most powerful superweapon in the series) by himself. Also, Phoenix defeated Albireo Squadron, who is described in-game as the most powerful squadron of the Allied Forces (Erusea was with the Allies at the time prior to Albireo joining the rebellion).

Also I liked Joint Assault, but I had to admit that is boring played in solo. It has many great features about the coop, customization, weapons ecc... but I've found it easy and boring.
That's the thing, though: through their sheer abuse of such missions, and the horribly poor mission design they and the rest of the game suffer from, they managed to make even those missions not that interesting. It does sound almost impossible: how can a mission with cobra-pulling aerial fortresses be *boring*? And yet they somehow managed it...

7c is so hard you have to throw bombs at the toxic gas while jets try to kill you and if you take too long to neutralise the gas the mission will fail and if you try to go very fast and do barrel rolls or something else you will explode
ACX didn't have online multiplayer - it was local wi-fi only. Today, though, it is possibly to play local multiplayer through the internet with apps like Hamachi, but of course there's no servers or anything - it's something you have to set up with your friends
dude holy shit the ai in this game is ridiculous, like how is the game allowing the ai to do high g turns meanwhile the player can't? What kind of bullshit is this ACX?
Getting S rank on Ace difficulty for this mission was one of my proudest moments! It took me many attempts.

What a great mission. I unlocked this damn thing on PSP and broke my fucking joystick in the process. Still, finally got that damn Falken.

For most aircraft, yes. But the top 4-5 aircraft in JA do beat out ACX's when fully modded - the JA Forneus is truly ridiculous.

At least some missions are still exciting. For example taking down the flying battleships and that gigantic railgun.
