What's great about this cover is it actually sounds like a cover of Megalovania. Most orchestral covers add a lot of notes and stuff, but this keeps it more close to the original.
I imagine this would play if sans absorbed the 6 souls to stop you.
Good God... Sans using the six souls ... I think the reason that doesn't happen in game is to give the player a chance of victory (not that I have ever or will ever play genocide)

Nicely done. This is one of the few orchestral versions of this song that still keeps the final battle esc feeling to it. 10/10 fills me with determination.

Heard this back in 2015, found it again now and it's still my favorite version.
Triumphant, tense, the instruments emphasize every note and communicate the real stakes of this battle. Back before the unofficial content ran wild we got a fantastic first wave of really earnest and genuine fan content like this, true to the original but wishing to adapt the emotion of the situation the game actually communicates to us
Nowadays the real Undertale, the game, is sort of muddled in so many different interpretations online. It's fun to remember the common knowledge of a community that doesn't exist anymore.
*** The Real Situation ***
The Undertale That Doesnt Exist Anymore
This isn't an enraged character fighting for the loss of their friends, this is a hopeless man who's been forced to care in the last moments of a dying world. He has a suspicion it's pointless to fight you but fights anyway because he can't know for certain.
There is an anomaly. At first it was Flowey, now it is the player. In control of Frisk and aided by the ghost of the fallen human, who is named by the player. Usually this entity has your own name. No one knew the name they have in the code "true.chara"
Sans truly is the weakest monster so he has to use his knowledge of the world to cheat the battle system, the player is allowed to dodge but Monsters dodging is not intended, lack of I-frames on hit is not intended, Monsters are supposed to use their magic to attack, they are not supposed to use Weapons like the player does. But Sans uses the player's systems and has the blasters on hand.
And despite the fact that he has stacked every odd in his favor, you have the benefit of foresight, every attack he can make you will eventually memorize, but he can't know what you've seen and what you haven't. Each time you've fought Sans is the first time for him, though he knows this isn't true, but for all his rule breaking he can't break the laws of physics, the laws of the code. He can't know what's happened in timelines that were undone, he can't know what's happened in files that were deleted.
Undertale is an amazing story about playing a video game. A mental exercise about how characters would navigate living in a game that might be uninstalled or restarted at any moment. A moral examination of how far you can get people to empathetically link their metaphysical, imaginary actions in a story to their real life feelings.
Flowey is the character that knows he is in a game, this is obvious in first playthroughs but gets muddled once Undertale justifies his knowledge within the ludo and meta-narrative.
Sans is the character that has theoreticaly knowledge of the mechanics of the game, but has no way to practically deduce that his world is not real.
The Fallen Child is your avatar. They share your name. They are guided by your actions. And if you choose to treat the characters in undertale like lines of code then they will be your internal voice and tell you you were justified.

Whenever I listen to an orchestral remix of some game I enjoyed, I end up disliking it because they are usually cheesy and overdone. This, on the other hand, is actually pretty well done. The instruments work very well together, and it's pretty simple from start to end, while not being too simple. Very good job! (That ending gave me goosebumps btw, best way to end a song)

This is Sans when he absorbs the souls, like Asriel/Flowey, but the souls corrupt or give. Sans is corrupted, so he becomes a horror, every second he exist puts strain on the universal threads. ULTRA sans.
