Smithfield was purchased in 2013 by Chinese-based and state-owned holding company Shuanghui International Holdings Ltd. Shuanghui Group is the world's largest pork producer and processor. This is a 14 billion company, they have around 40 to 45k. The company raises around 15 million pigs a year and processes 27 million, producing over six billion pounds of pork, Smithfield sells its products under a variety of brand names, including Cook's Ham, Gwaltney, John Morrell, Krakus Ham, Patrick Cudahy, Smithfield, and Stefano's. @@winter7995 I used to work at this plant in the video when I was younger... it's an ok job. good pay and insurance when I was there
US is so undeveloped and technologically behind in that field comparing Scandinavian countries such as Danmark and Belgium which human hands involved touching the produce less than 20% throughout the entire production process! US production lines are too much man handling hand washing and unprofessional 19th century house cleaning methods involved while EU and Scandinavian countries machines take care of whole process and sanitizes all buckets, tools, convayers and containers at way lower required human workforce rate and at way higher professional and modernized process line.
I don’t get why people this this is cruel my dad works for this company and there’s a sertain why when they kill the hogs they don’t just go and shoot them or slice them! They get put to sleep so they don’t feel the pain and it really offends me when people post fake videos saying there hurting the animals god put certain animals for food! Mu dad dose the abuse or hurt animals he is a engineer and we have 16 pets and we love them dearly and if this company shot and really hurt the animals ik my dad would quit
