I have worked with both of these guys, when we were in our 20's, and proud to say they are my friends! Just talked to them both, Toby is feeling fine and Dewayne is recovering and sounds like he is doing better. Praise GOD! Their brother Dale, is also my friend and we too have worked together. He is a fine Bass player and is doing well too.
Toby & I used to be good friends back in the 80's in Dallas when I worked at Lightning Music. Haven't seen him for years, but I recognized that face as soon as I started watching this video. Too cool..
This really made my day. All the brothers, Phillips are good friends of my Dad and I. I wish he were here to see this with me, and really he isin a way.

I just saw a later solo appearence by DeWayne on Porter's show, and he brought the house down with his version of "Lonely Street"!
This is too cute!! Thanks for posting this.
is there anywhere we can see this Lonely Street version?
