My friends daughter and her husband moved to Dubai from the UK. It basically costs twice as much to live there. You’ll earn more and pay no tax though. It’s safe, clean and crime free.

Wdy? Ofc u need a job request from Dubai, most of the time its actually for this reason, many USA and EU workers go to Middle East and Dubai for work and jobs opportunities cuz Dubai nowadays its also known as the richest place in the world, i'd say the fakest place in the world thats a different debate tho, so its usually for business and jobs reason many companies and agencies moves their places there for one two main reason which is that, as i said before it is stereotyped as the richest city, so having your company, agency etc site there its a great move to increase yours, then the other one is that there are stupid taxes, but yeah usually people dont move there for personal reasons if not job, cuz i think there are better places, for example there the the health system isnt quite good, which isnt actually quite nice to hear, also there isnt a normal way to live, or you are rich rich or poor poor,

We went to Rome for two days and we spent $100 a day on food alone. People don't realize how expensive it is in Europe. @noamansattar - it depends on which county you have Nassau county (closer to NYC) Suffolk county (out east) then you have the Hamptons/Montauk (the end of Long Island) every single home in the Hamptons and montauk are multi million dollar homes they have their own separate police department and let’s put it like this to get a hotel for one night during the summer you’re spending $1000 a night - now Suffolk county a 1 bedroom legal apartment (no basement or garage apartments) roughly $2000 a month then you have Nassau which is a slight uptick from the $2000 of Suffolk - mind you this doesn’t include utilities that’s just straight up rent the majority of places have a separate oil/gas tank and electric meter for the legal apartment and that’s for a one bedroom 2 bedrooms is going to run you about $2500-$2750 renting an entire home $3000-$3750 which is sad because the people that do that can literally own the home themselves but unfortunately do not have enough for atleast 10% down payment - i can rent out my 2 bedroom 2 bathroom & balcony condo in a gated community with a golf course full gym indoor and outdoor inground pool within the 2.5 mile gated community for $3000-$3250 per month - then NYC which is currently the highest rent in world average rent per month is close to $5000

Unfortunately any kind of labour work in dubai is paid notoriously low wages. It’s borderline slave labour however people who do these jobs still do it as they earn more than they would at home and they are usually from unsafe countries. To put into perspective, an experienced electrician might earn 2000-4000 AED whereas an emirates flight attendant can make around 10k AED per month. In my opinion, the electricians job should pay higher, especially considering how dangerous it is dealing with electricity.

It really depends on how you live a life and so many people live in small rooms and share with 20 people in one bedroom and specially contract workers like Bangladesh and India and even Philippines they live in a small lifestyle. It's an individual situation.
