i bought the shampoo, conditioner, leave in, cream, and coconut water. Love it. My granddaughter hair is extra thick/coarse and since using this product has never been more manageable and soft. It is my new staple product.

I have to say I like the line. My hair is very low porosity and dense 4b but my hair loves glycerin based products. I used the conditioner under a bonnet dryer. Y'all my hair had body baby and this was after it was fully dry the next day. This way amazing because my hair didn't move before.
So glad to hear I’m not the only low porosity natural that uses this line, because I didn’t want to trade it in for a more expensive product.

Yeah I used keracare are back in the day when I was relaxed. You'd think with all the weight behind their brand that they would knock it out the park with this natural line. I really appreciate how you don't just toss around texture labels like 4c 3b like most youtubers do. Your reviews are descriptive and insightful.

@@clairedaniels1877 Absolutely! I hardly ever visit those stores. Recently I needed a miniature spray bottle and purchased there because Dollar Tree doesn't carry them. Honey, I was shocked at all of the hair products they sell now and the prices were not cheap!

This line was the first KeraCare natural line product that I used and my hair absolutely LOVES it! I use the cowash, leave in, curling jelly and the edge control and I get a bomb wash and go every time . It must be the glycerin that is giving you trouble because I have high density thick 3C/4A hair and I have no trouble....it sucks it didn’t work for you.
I looooveee this Line!! But honey your curl definition was BOMB just rinsing out the shampoo and conditioner ALONE 😩😍😍😍😍

I used keracare when I had perm hair. They are the best!About to buy the natural line now that I'm natural. Cant wait to see how it comes out on my natural hair.
I recently purchased everything but the shampoo because they were out and the moisturizing spray because I didn't think I needed it. However, I lovr how instantly soft my hair became just from just putting the products on dirty, matted, dry hair and it's extremely moisturizing. I have fibroid and it has damaged my hair and has made it very difficult to maintain moisture and detangle before, during, or after a wash without clump of my curls tangling up and see clumps of hair in my detangler or hands. I love keracare line very much a staple product for me.
If you know glycerin why purchase any product that has it listed within the top 5 ingredients. Sally does have a return policy....so I know you took the product(s) back

Yes Lynn, you are right to pay attention to these product ingredients. Glycerin is not the only one to caution. Other ingredients such as disodium laureth sulfosuccinate, propanediol,, piroctone olamine are questionable. In my research I found some of their ingredients are banned in other countries. Linum usitatissimum is often used to spread paint oil. My hat is off to all you lovely ladies for risking your beautiful hair just to show us the results. They seem to be banking on us not reading their ingredients so therefore it's easy for them to make money off us by throwing in cheat, bad or harmful ingredients because they are not paying anything for it if it is sold cheap to us. Thank honey, be sure to clarify your hair after use.

I live in Toronto where we have super humid hot summers and very dry cold winters so glycerin is my best friend during transitional weather like spring and fall and summer depending on the style. But in the winter, my hair feels like straw with it and lacks all luster and moisture.

Sis your hair looks REALLY GOOD with this product...I think you need to work on your application...sometimes we apply the products too heavy or in the wrong sequence which may make it come out different and feel wrong...BUT YOU LOOK GOOD SIS👍😍

I love me some Keracare! & they already had a natural hair line. This not they’re first natural hair line. The other is natural textures. It’s formulated with a lot of Ayurvedic oils.

I bought the curl activator cream, the leave in, and the curling jelly. I loved them all except the curling jelly. For once my gray was shiny, moisturized, and soft. I used the Wetline Blue gel with it and even my natural hair hating mom loved my hair for once. I wish my hair looked liked yours but gray hair has a mind of its own. My hair is thick but wiry. I am going to try the jelly again, but on damp hair because it didn't seem to work on very wet hair.

I had been so frustrated with my hair until about two months ago (after being natural for two years). I am just glad to find a line and routine that seems to work easily for me. *relief*
@@Refusetodyethegray I stopped just picking up things just because and like you find what work and keep going, our products are seriously expensive and when there is an affordable line that works, hey I'm here for it, yes the other line is a sister to the As I AM products, a stylist informed me that The Keracare (original ) was supposed to be more of a professional line, and the As I Am was for us regular people 😆😆😆. I wish you nothing but the best as we keep marching forward!

I've not tried this line, yet. I'm planning to try it later this month / week. Just wanted to say that the way you feel about glycerin is how I feel about shea butter. I'm like why does practically every single company have to use shea butter in their stylers. My hair hates shea butter.

You are using entirely too much of the conditioner and leave in.its totally not necessary. Moisture definitely comes over time and inside out. Your curls are nice tho.

I didn’t like the conditioner either. It’s a weird almost soapy consistency. The curl cream made my scalp react in a way like it had Shea butter in it (I’m allergic to Shea butter). Your hair looks great tho!

I tried this line out because my bank can’t handle the constant expensive natural products that I normally buy. I must say I like this and I don’t even want to look at the ingredients lol because I already know there is some shady stuff in it. But like I said the bank can’t afford Camille rose, mane’s choice, and mielle all the time lol.
The ingredients actually arent that bad which is really surprising for such a cheap product 😅

I just bought it does not seem that bad and the smell seems pleasant and I am picky about strong smells and I think the packing is cute.
I believe it depends on the hair type for this product. What works for one person may not work for the next. I want to try it. I was a little nervous, so I didn't as of yet. I have thin, fine type hair. A lot of people didn't like the wen product. I loved it. It's not for thick hair, so it worked for me. I knew a couple of people tried it. They didn't like wen products, but their hair was very thick.

I tried the cowash...not too bad...moisturizing but not sure yet on the cleansing. Definitely not the Eden body works cowash, which is my fav. Also, off topic, I've just tried the Generic curl defining cream from sally's...SM coconut n hibiscus knock off 💦👌👍💃🙌👏💖 #tryit so far so good

You feel about glycerin the way I feel about aloe. Aloe seems to the main ingredient that almost all natural hair product makers use. It's so annoying because it wrecks havoc on my hair. I like glycerin though. I may try this line.

I am still on the fence about these products, I love the other Keracare product line the original one, I have fine/medium strands and totally medium density so maybe I can get away with it. Now all that glycerin ummmm yeah could be a deal breaker for me, I am in Texas not so far from LA and with our bi-polar weather, yeah you certainly understand, anyways thanks for your review!

Yeah I really do hate that natural hair product companies put glycerin in EVERYTHING not everyone’s hair takes well to that. If it is even slightly humid outside my hair shrinks up so bad with glycerin based products.

Yeah it just sat on my hair and did nothing. I had to deep condition again. The leave in has no sleep nothing.
I have high porosity hair, tried 6 products drom the line and hated 4 of them and was like "eh..." on the curl activator and the custard/gel. Me and glycerin don't mix, I returned it.
@Janiya Gowdy because I still wanted to try it, in the 12 years I have been natural, sometimes when I try products that has a heavy oil like castor oil or a butter, the glycerin that is also in the same product makes it not so bad. These products were inexpensive so if they worked that would have been great because everything that my hair loves is expensive. Was not a big deal, I wash my hair 3 times a week anyway, washed it out 2 days later.

I’ve only tried the conditioner. I picked it up because I was looking for a deep/rinse out conditioner for the low. The consistency was off-putting and it only worked for my son’s 3c hair. It was an okay detangler/prepoo for mine and my teen daughter’s 4c hair but my younger daughter’s 4b high porosity hair HATED it. She’s also glycerin sensitive. I wouldn’t purchase the rest of the line.
I don’t like glycerin in my styling products bc I am leaving them in.. That is why I didn’t bother with this line

You need to build up your hydration levels inside your hair strands by steaming. The product is just sitting on top of your hair. KeraCare had their 1st natural product line out (Natural Textures) years ago as well. The makers of KeraCare also created the As I Am line. They’ve BEEN on it. This is a cheap line for people who don’t wanna spend 💵 on hair products. Please do your research. Your hair looks good to me though.

Claire Daniels the product sits on her hair bc shes glycerin sensitive which is why shes unsatisfied... shes tried cheaper products like african pride and loved it so its not about it being cheap. Also, steaming isnt the only way to hydrate the hair.
beau knows88 It doesn’t have anything to do with glycerin. Her hair is not hydrated on the inside. And steaming is the best way to hydrate type 4 hair. The heat opens the cuticle and the steam molecules are small enough to enter underneath, hydrating the hair.
Claire Daniels how do you know she doesnt deep condition w/ heat?? Like i said steaming isnt the only way to open the cuticle w/ heat... you are also making assumptions about someone elses hair that you dont know from a 17 minute video...
beau knows88 No assumptions made. She stated that her hair was dry. Everyone is raving about these products. They don’t make your hair dry. Her hair was already dry before applying the product. Deep conditioning using heat is cool but it’s been proven that steam is more effective at hydrating the hair.
I personally think the shampoo and conditioner would’ve worked better for you it you’d use them in the shower-more water! Try it one more time!

It's a humectant, it draws moisture to your hair which can make it frizzy and puffy so that you can't hold a style.

S. Jones You’re right. Conditioner isn’t for the scalp it’s for the hair. I don’t like to smother my scalp with conditioner at all, because it can clog the pores on the scalp.

What do you do to your hair to be naturally defined?
I keep my hair moisturized with a leave in and water mix in a spray bottle. I twist my hair up and move along or use a mousse to retwist it bring life back into my wash n go.
