- Persona 3 Reload just got hit with some massive news this past week just as the game hit store shelves. Thanks to an incredibly reliable insider, we just got the huge news that Persona 3 Reload is likely to feature DLC releases throughout fiscal year 2025, including a much-requested mode from Persona 3 FES. This video dissects this new information, as well as looks into potential DLC's that we may get further down the road in Persona 3 Reload.

Atlus could make a fortune if they include the FeMC as DLC for P3R in the future. Imagine hearing "Way of Life" or "Wiping All Out" in P3R.
Why do that when they can just rework the game and sell it with FeMC for full price again in a couple of years, just like Royal. If you think Sammy isn't that greedy, you dont know Sammy that well.
I would not surprised to see that option either, the initial point stands of how much much Atlus can make if they released the FeMC for any copy of P3, besides P3P.

References to "Episode Aegis" has been datamined from Persona 3 Reload, so it's almost certainly coming as DLC.

i hope they re-add all the small animations missing from p3r, potentially because they referrenced p3p while remaking it.
example, 5/4 daytime, akihiko is supposed to be sleeping on the couch and fes depicts it, but in p3p and p3r he's just sitting and it describes him sleeping.

I WILL get and play this game…eventually. But this news gives me the perfect reason to wait further and really put a good dent in my backlog till then.

Doesn't even have to have the social links. Just having a female character model that uses the same kit would be good enough for me. Look at other games, KOTOR, Baldurs gate, Icewind dale, you don't need to do a drastic shift for two character models.

Me too 😔 I’m happy we are getting the answer, But the exclusion of the female mc is just so disheartening as a female persona fan, and makes me not as excited to play the game as I would have been if she was.

Atlus has already said that there isn't going to be any Golden/Royal edition for this game.
From what I've seen so far, all the extra bits that were introduced in FES and Portable (minus the Fem MC sadly) are present in Reload. Atlus literally has no excuse since The Answer was ALREADY a separate option back on the PS2.

Lacking FeMC is the most disappointing part of this release.
altho I truly believe that the dlc model is the scourge of modern gaming, I'm rly excited for the possibility of seeing the answer come back, maybe even with some quality of life updates that make it a but less grindy! I'm still working through it on my copy of p3fes and I'm really enjoying it, mostly bc of the extra background lore and stuff. I am pretty disappointed that there will probably be no FeMC (altho I didn't rly expect there to be) bc imo the social links in that route are better.
It's pretty scummy that the answer wasn't included in the base game, it's a remake after all. Just trying to milk their customers as per usual

i really hope Atlus considers adding Femc i know fans of her are willing to drop money for her. if i have to buy basically the game all over again in the form of dlc or a royal type edition I will.

I am fully prepared for them to release a definitive version of this remake with all of the bells and whistles. But if they release the fes and femc as dlc I would be so happy.
I started playing with fes. I am not prepared to finish the game and not have the answer to play through.
It definitely wasn’t the meat and potatoes of fes. But it answered so many plot holes and things they didn’t finish from the main story and it was worth it

I can only hope they add The Answer, I have a feeling it's coming though. Gotta add, they need to keep it at the same length or longer than the original. Also, restore the Monad Depths but keep the Monad Doors too. Oh, and make it so we can switch between the original and arranged soundtracks. Bundle it together as Persona 3 Reload Ultimate and we'd have a winner.
If the Answer finally appears as a DLC, it will be very funny reading regrets of lots of those who were blaming before, because the Answer has no social links...

I remember playing The Answer and felt bad I just couldn't get past the first mobs lmao. So I was unable to even complete that mode. It was way to hard for me back then. OTL.
Yeah, that mode definitely had a TON of issues. Let's hope the difficulty and grindy nature of that mode are ironed out here in the dlc
Hopefully we get the Aigis prequel that takes place before the game and some new challenges like battling Yu Narukami & Joker also new personas like Izanagi-no-okami and the 3rd Tere personas of persona 5 royal and more persona Theurgy moves For the MC
Hmmmm......this video does explain a rumor I'd heard about a dataminer finding two story DLC's for P3R that contan story content for Aigis. One would be Episode Aigis/The Answer (which I never did play before), and one could possibly be a P3P DLC with the FeMC. Yes, I know that you said that it is 'confirmed' that the FeMC won't be added down the road since she isn't canon, but just a few weeks ago it was 'confirmed' that there wouldn't be any story DLC either.
Well as someone who has completed the Answer I am hoping they improve the mechanics to make it a tad bit easier. Yeah having the Baton pass/Shift will help but I think it needs a little bit more.

My gut tells me their main plans for DLC are mainly costumes etc, so I wouldn't recommend getting your hopes up for FeMC. If we get it, awesome, if we don't get it, not the end of the world. If you expect anything youre bound to be disappointed.

If this tendency keeps going for this reload, I think I'll wait for the new extra chapter in the new plus game instead of this first reload "vanilla" version.

I'm holding off buying Persona 3 Reload for now. I really want to play as a FeMC in this type of format. For now, I have to content myself with Persona 3 Portable.

Atlus is taking a page out of SEGA's playbook. Like paying for New Game Plus for Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth for example. Not to mention paying nearly $70 - $100 between the base, deluxe and premium versions of P3R is outrageous enough as it is.

Hopefully the Episode Aigis DLC improves the original's (The Answer) story and character development (here's saying: don't ruin Yukari!) and designs levels a la Persona 5 Royal for a change. How cool would that be? Also, it should come with difficulty options this time.
About feMC, maybe she should come as a secret character with a short mode or a boss. I highly doubt they could remake her entire campaign. That was only possible back in the day because of the visual novel style of P3P.

@@Xxsorafan FeMC wasn't included for the same reason there was only one choice for the chariot link and the fortune link. Including her would have meant animating an entirely different game and recording dialogue for it. The game would have taken at least twice as long to come out. They wouldn't even pay to have the original voice actors come back to reprise their roles. Why would they pay to have an entire second game voiced?

It make sense there going to release Persona 3 The answer around TGS . I only played it once when i got Fes on PlayStation store . And they are also working on Persona 1 , Persona 2 innocent sin and eternal punishment remastered using well duh the PSP version

Honestly if they make the Answer as DLC and they have a track record of re-releasing the persona games as seperate titles we could maybe get another Re-release that includes Reload, The Answer, and Female MC in one game.

70$ is the standard for triple-A games in 2023. the cost is in no way inflated, especially when considering how long the game is

Standard is $79.99, not to mention previously available content potentially being sold separately and for a remaster that doesn't appear that impressive. Time =/= quality or value. I hope you and others like the game I like persona 4 and 5 but this just doesn't add up in my book. So like I said I'm curious how the game will do.

@@samangelo1112 I would 100% play reload. The Answer is an additional game mode, meaning your character progression will not carry over to The Answer. To be honest, The Answer wasn't that great from a gameplay perspective in P3 FES, but the story was nice. I'm hoping Atlus completely reworks the gameplay in Reload to make it less grindy
i will say that femc is actually a canon character in the multiverse, as shown by q2, which is also considered canon

Ok, now, here’s what I hope in the answer. Now I know you guys stuck to your canon guns, but I hope they change the dialogue for people who already saved Chidori. Because when they played the Answer, Junpei said that Chidori was dead when playing through it. If they messed this up, I just can’t deal with it and I would be pissed.

It's unlikely that we're getting a re-release for P3R - it probably will just be DLC tacked on. We already have a lot of changes/additions from FES, just not The Answer.

Hopefully the Answer becomes dlc it’s the sole piece of P3 content I’ve yet to experience. Not to mention it’s great that I wouldn’t have to get myself a PS2 just to play it nor do we have to deal with all the issues that it had.
Thankfully if it follows the last 3 titles including OG 3, we'll get a rerelease called Memento Mori edition or something.

I had the theory after Portabel of a game with Makoto and Kotone together, but after the choice of the protagonist with a wild card, the second is a Sees member and simple confidant
Or 2 versions like for Pokemon.. always together.. in Reloaded Makoto has Portable confidants
Personally speaking, while I'm in the camp that wants the FeMC to be added, I do at least have a personal headcanon as to why she wouldn't be added. Suffice it to say, her "Non-canon" status is actually crucial to why she exists at all, and is why I doubt that she'll ever be added outside of non-canon material like Q2. If they surprise us with her I'll be happy about it for sure, but I won't be totally bummed out if they don't ever add her.
For a slightly longer explanation, said headcanon is essentially that the FeMC is actually *Elizabeth's* Answer, the end of HER Journey to find a solution to the whole "Door-kun" situation, with her eventually creating the FeMC (using herself as a template) to solve this issue (This being why P3P does not need The Answer), thus allowing things to resolve in a positive manner, and the FeMC existing outside of canon means that doing this won't result in any actual timelines being destroyed by this act. I'd elaborate further, but then this post would be waaaay longer.

I'm not sad, that they removed the Answer. I didn't liked it very much back when I played P3 FES. It took me far too long to grind my way all to the end of the abyss. It was more frustrating than fun. And the conclusion was not rerally a good one for the story ( my opinion!)
reload is great, the only grip I have thugh si the price, its mroe expensive than P5 royal which doesnt make sense
Do you already have it, how is the difficulty? I hear it's much easier but I'm only interested in playing them on the hardest setting, so some of the people complaining about watered down difficulty could be playing on normal or easy. I do like a challenge in my RPGs, I didn't find the hardest setting in Persona 5 to be nearly as hard as the ones found in 4 Golden, and Royal also came along and made if even easier.

They should make a New Game+ mode in which you play as FeMC or a choice to choose her. That increase replayability.
