Really nice kitbash Sparky! We always seem to have to put together two just to get one thing we reall y want. Thanks for sharing and that turned our nice. Muse
Sparky the kits turned out not bad mate ,good point on the short and long tank cars ,here a idea if you run both make the other side for short cars if there extra piping in the kit.. cheers Ron.B
That was helpful, it’s too bad the one model would have been to small or insubstantial to do the job. I imagine not all kits have this problem, but it’s good be prepared and be ok with having to kit-bash when needed. Thanks for sharing...Anthony
Very informative pair of videos. I wonder if the offset distance of the loading spouts toward the one end was deliberate on the part of Walthers to allow putting the kits together to service either the 40' or 60' tank cars? Anyway, it does work out. Thanks!
@@jdmills4370 if you have kept all your spruce from other models you can use those. but the kit does come with joining parts. Biggest advice I can give. If you are going to paint it before assembly make sure you don't paint any place you will need to glue.
At the end of the video he set it up right. You want to be able to put a 50 and 40 on the same side. Most of the time those cars are not couple together so we have to make that joined to all of them especially when there are 8 spots on both sides.
Good job kit bashing. More is always better. Thanks for the tips.
Looks great Mr. Thanks for the video.
Super tanker platform! Very interesting.
Very helpful - thank you!!

Sparky, Nice job with the kits. It is a nice kit but they don't make one in N-Scale which is why I had to make my own....John

Nice video
Fantastic
Thank you. Watching before assembling mine. Putting three together. Any advice?
What about using long painted dowels for the pipes? Less assembly and can cut length of structure

Looking Good Sparky!! any weathering?
Nice work!! 👍👍✌
Good job but you never set them close you always mount them away cause the tank car can be adjusted ok!
Can you be more specific? I’m doing a similar scene on my layout. Do you have these on your layout? I have questions Jac Jac!!!
