    As an exercise physiologist, I am curious to know more about the "research" to which Ms Anderson continuously refers. Are we talking research which is acknowledged by the scientific community and published in peer-reviewed journals? In addition to a personal narrative in which Anderson identifies as the mitochondrial Eve of personal trainers ( "Before [me], there was nothing in fitness that had any strategy behind it at all, so it was up to me to figure out what that experience should look like"), she throws around a substantial amount of undefined jargon, ( AKA " I show up for my clients in a very raw way" and "[moving your body] is about you connecting with you". WHAT??). I will concede that she is intelligent; expertly playing the game of marketing a trendy niche "never seen before" product, however she is no health or fitness expert...ok, maybe a spin doctor.
    In spite of science, the fitness realm remains fertile ground for opportunists armed with "relevant" buzzwords and unburdened by a conscience. There are no magic bullets folks. You gotta sleep, eat, do your cardio and pick up, push and pull heavy stuff.

    • @cmo9400
      @cmo9400 9 месяцев назад +3

      She basically does fast Pilates and slightly rotates arms and legs to work out auxiliary muscles. She helps a lot of women get a compact silhouette by doing body weight workouts. I wouldn’t call her a Charlatan. She is not better or worse than going to a gym that locks you in for a 12 month membership. I’ve been dieting or exercising in some form for 30 years. It was only when I started to love myself and treat myself right that I lost weight permanently. I think many women identify with her. If it helps people enjoy working out and they identify with her ‘jargon’. Which is literally no different than any other jargon nattered by gym rats or meatheads..just more emotional, then good. I’ve done CrossFit, hiit, cardio toning, straight cardio. I’d rather not feel like a rat on a wheel. Many women feel uncomfortable in a gym for obvious reasons. Whether it’s fat shaming or they don’t want people watching them while they work out..or they don’t want to lift heavy. They don’t want any obvious muscles. The worst thing in the world of fitness is the self eating nature of it. Everyone thinks their way is the right way. She never says that. I enjoy her. I enjoy her workouts. Tracy has been around for decades. Allow people to enjoy their choices.

    To be in Vogue there are many Dangerous Mistakes in the choices of movements with weights...luckily she said to use minimum weights. But still is gaining a wrong pattern of muscular chains that can cause permanent damages long term. I like the idea of choreography and speech but there are some movements that are totally WRONG for the shoulders any International Sports Science Association trainer would agree saying that there are DANGEROUS mistakes in the choices of movements even for the trainer Anderson herself...it is not necessary to have famous clients to know the basic of human biomechanics and apply it correctly.

    • @PropheticCoachTheresa
      @PropheticCoachTheresa 4 года назад +12

      Yeah her philosophy is a bit pulled outta her arse, and she should definitely have direction, not just "follow what I do" because people have all kinds of structural imbalances and tension patterns that can be exacerbated and occupational injuries can happen from this kind of highly repetitive movement stuff. But some people do get great results from it. I have her meta workout and found it to be pretty annoying and extremely difficult. Yes, I know the adherents will say just keep at it, you'll get better at it and get great results. I'm not arguing with them, how could I? I found pure barre, for me, to get better and faster results than tracy anderson method. But I do understand her philosophy, and I do see how working multiple dimensions and fascial chains/muscles can definitely "pull in" the tissues and tone them. But I do think people should have more instruction. Her "influencer" clients (not sure who they are "influencing" except their own bank account and egos) have her close training instruction, those on her vids do not. At the end of the day, find a fitness program you LIKE because that's what you will STICK WITH. Eat right, sleep enough, don't drink or smoke, or eat sugar (ideally). If you want "teeny tiny" arms and a "high and lifted butt", then go for this workout. But just be careful and MINDFUL of your posture, tension patterns, etc.

      I loooove the no talking! Cant tolerate chatty instructors, let me listen to the music and I can catch on..also, she offers “ how to “ videos when someone joins, and they help.
      She does this with intention- it exercises our minds as well! It’s like being in a classroom.,.

    Why does she do more on one side than the other in many sequences? That makes no sense.
    Shouldn’t it be if you do 8 on one side you do 8 on the other? (6-8-10 doesn’t matter, a few times it was more on the side she started on)
    Looks like she’s making it up as she goes 🤷‍♀️

    Definitely fantastic to work out like this, and it quite obviously works for her and her followers. Surely I can't be the only so rhythmically challenged, though, that its impossible to follow the first few times through. Some moves are a 4 count, some are an 8-count, then just when you think you've got it she'll throw in a 16-count on the right, but then only 14 on the left. One of the only negatives I have to say about this style exercise, if there could be some form of cueing by way of beeps or dings. Sure uses muscles that haven't been awoken in a long time though. Oh and the cost.. need a hefty Hollywood salary to afford her privately.
