I would say that the Hake shotgun should go maybe one tier up. I have one with elemental and perpetual motion, and on my arc warlock it felt very nice. Plus with accurized and smallbore the range was pretty decent.
I think Mindbender's deserves to be bumped up to A tier. Fragile focus up time is really good ever since they buffed it, and with TD + FF proceed, stat-wise it easily competes with Found Verdict, its direct competitor being an energy-slot aggressive frame shotgun. Of course, that's assuming you have an adept god roll, which is no longer obtainable whereas you can farm for a god roll timelost Found Verdict. I also think Imperial Decree deserves the S-tier, simply because it has the two best shotgun perks in the game and amazing stats thanks to its already decent base stats and its crafted bonuses.
It's definitely a top tier pick. I main it. Slideshot and Elemental Capacitor are deadly perk combos. Sleek design. It goes best with Titans for obvious reason. But other class works just as well.

Crafted imperical decree has really grown on me and the performance it has when threat detector is active really makes it one of the best shotguns and very consistent. The arc iron banner slug shotgun has also really become a favorite as you can easily get 100 range paired with threat detector or moving target but I think slugs should get a small aim assist buff because sometimes it makes no sense and direct shots either misses or barely does any damage sometimes so I think slugs should get bigger hit box especially considering slugs require much more aiming vs matador n felwintees

I think aggressives are the best personally mainly cause they feel the most consistent and solar hunter dodge giving 60 handling for free makes them all very consistent so you can max range the whole way

I think Compass Rose has a slept on combo, Quickdraw Trench Barrel. Trench Barrel is like Swashbuckler but better in nearly every way. Swash needs a melee final blow, Trench needs a melee hit. Swash x5 gives 33% increased damage, Trench gives 50%. Trench also lastst 0.5 sec longer and gives 30 handling after the melee hit as cherry on top for faster ADS and stow speed. I grinded for it but sadly didn’t get the roll.
This season gave me a pretty wild and unexpected shotgun: Deadpan Delivery, with Slickdraw/Trench and max range on all the other perks (including Rifled Barrel since Slickdraw caps your handling anyway). 49 range at all times (which is pretty unremarkable for the frame), the same handling bump as Quickdraw but always-on with a downside that is irrelevant, and with Trench's damage buff enabling you to get followup kills in scramble situations. I don't think it's better than some of the top-tier options here (OS too good), but I ended up liking it quite a bit.
Last man standing was my favorite before it got sunset. I got a similar one recently and it’s back to being my main shit. Low handling but as a titan main, I have it out before that stat matters anyways lmao

Yeah it’s pretty good, I didn’t like it too much and it kinda forces you into arc but yeah I’d say b tier is fair and if you just like it a lot A is fine too. A lot of the shotguns are very similar so I can’t really argue to bump them up or down , this is mostly based off of my experience and what I’ve seen in tourneys/what the I see in high level lobbies
As of this comment, I have 2,703 crucible kills on retold tale. I have the 6/5 god roll IMO with full choke, barrel shroud, accurized, quick draw snapshot handling MW. It’s so snappy it’s unreal. Mind you I had it sitting in my vault for over a year before using it.

Can I sell y'all on QD/12P? It's a nice bubble-or-well clutch tool. I've got full choke and assault mag and handling MW, but tbh I'd like a bit more range on the roll since QD gives me the thing I actually care about from handling
i’d honestly put without remorse in the a-tier above riiswalker. sure more range is nice, but lightweights can only one shot up to 7 meters and that’s with one precision hit pellet. max range isn’t worth sacrificing stability, because contrary to what many believe, shotguns get hit HARD by flinch when you ads. without remorse is a stat monster when fully crafted, WITH max range and max handling. it’s a monster.
Prophet of doom is amazing because it’s a precision frame, it’s perks are meh but it’s archetype alone puts it in A cuz it’s more consistent than aggressives
Yea i got the 5/5 matador and its pretty disgusting sitting at 95 range. I can swipe between rifled barrel or smallbore. with threat detector + opening shot + accurized + range masterwork.

i think sudden death deserves higher because you can double dip into handling with threat detector and ele cap and a handling multiplier from threat detector. This means you can go in for ALL range with the barrel, mag, and mw including rifled barrel. Range doesnt matter too much on aggressive frames anyway

Ragnhild is criminally underrated. A perp motion plus elementa, capacitor roll is very spicy, makes for some great handling and personally I like the ads view of ragnhild as it's boxy amd easy to see unlike a lot of aggressives

I would put Duality number 2 if it were on the list. I know it’s a slug as well as pellet, but I just use it basically hip-fire only like a Halo shotty and having that range and tight spread from the hip saves your ass in a lot of situations.
I agree that it's good in that capacity, but IMO it's the ability to essentially have slug AND pellet functionality in the same gun that puts it over stuff like Retold or Matador, and would honestly even put it over CF for me if not for CF having situational utility that is hard to come by on other shotguns like getting collateral kills.
I feel like Prophet should be brought up to B tier and Compass brought down to B aswell. Both Precisions that don't have anything other than their frame going for them
Keep the retold tail juice to yourself lol. It has some perks on there that make it really good for closing the distance as well as getting kills after with your shotgun or without.
I recently got a hand in hand to drop with max max range, fragile focus and elemental capacitor. It has 73 range with fragile focus up and 79 handling on an arc subclass. Definitely not dog water, but definitely near impossible to get your hands on. Don’t blame you for tanking it so low
Yeah it can be ok, the tiers aren’t really saying that a gun can’t be used, it’s just compared to the other ones. I also don’t rank elemental cap that high on a tier list because you have to be arc and basing the entire weapon off of that doesn’t work for a tier list in my opinion.
Yeah Retold Tale is definitely deserving. Just as good as a Matador, higher aim assist and I use a targeting adjuster just to play into it. Feels really snappy cause of snapshot instead of opening but yeah both amazing just preference.

I have a 5/5 Astral Horizon and it’s still 5 Range and Handling short to the Imperial even after Adapt Range, Astral origin trait is the only plus side but I hardly play Rumble… and that sight is atrocious
Fract has always been criminally underrated. It can get max range and draw speed with quickdraw/opening shot, plus almost all my favorite primaries (palindrome, exalted, igneous, shayura) are energy. Not to mention quickdraw and quick access sling both give animation multipliers instead of just handling so it's significantly faster than just 100 handling.
How has Fract been underrated? It's almost universally ranked a top-5 shotty, with many saying it's the top kinetic legendary pick. It's tough to get a solid roll these days, so maybe it doesn't get a ton of exposure, but anyone that has a decently rolled one considers it a top pick.
@@SolixTanaka Yeah it's more popular now that precisions have a good spread but honestly it was still good even when precisions were generally considered bad. Even now everyone seems to put it around low to mid s-tier and in particular almost always puts matador above it when in my view the combo of quickdraw with opening shot puts it easily above every other legendary. No other meta-relevant pellet shotgun can get both perks so they have to spec heavily into range and/or handling, whereas fract easily gets both maxed. You're right, people do know it's good, just not as archetype-defying as I seem to think.
I’m glad I have a god roll found verdict time lost and I got conditional finality on clear #2 contest mode (actual day 1 not the 48 hrs 😂😂 only took us 6 1/2 hrs to finish)
Not really, I had it it higher until I used it, also never run into it and definitely never run into it in a tourney setting, w some new perks I could see it being decent tho
After using Imperial and Retold Tale a lot since this video I would personally swap them now. Imperial in S with the right build and Retold A. Both great and I really didn’t like imperial at all for the longest time til I went handling barrel and masterwork and slide shot opening shot. 51 handling 41 range then the 2 range perks basically max the range out, very consistent now.

Slugs are very good, I think chaperone is still one of the best weapons in the game, just tough right now with all the Antaeus titans

Conditional has such good range because of its high damage. The damage makes up for the range

The range isnt the main strength of cf though, I get noticeably farther 1HK with my 5/5 retold

I have a 5/5 Astral Horizon and it’s still 5 Range and Handling short to the Imperial even after Adapt Range, Astral origin trait is the only plus side but I hardly play Rumble… and that sight is atrocious

Fract has always been criminally underrated. It can get max range and draw speed with quickdraw/opening shot, plus almost all my favorite primaries (palindrome, exalted, igneous, shayura) are energy. Not to mention quickdraw and quick access sling both give animation multipliers instead of just handling so it's significantly faster than just 100 handling.
How has Fract been underrated? It's almost universally ranked a top-5 shotty, with many saying it's the top kinetic legendary pick.
It's tough to get a solid roll these days, so maybe it doesn't get a ton of exposure, but anyone that has a decently rolled one considers it a top pick.
@@SolixTanaka Yeah it's more popular now that precisions have a good spread but honestly it was still good even when precisions were generally considered bad. Even now everyone seems to put it around low to mid s-tier and in particular almost always puts matador above it when in my view the combo of quickdraw with opening shot puts it easily above every other legendary. No other meta-relevant pellet shotgun can get both perks so they have to spec heavily into range and/or handling, whereas fract easily gets both maxed. You're right, people do know it's good, just not as archetype-defying as I seem to think.

After using Imperial and Retold Tale a lot since this video I would personally swap them now. Imperial in S with the right build and Retold A. Both great and I really didn’t like imperial at all for the longest time til I went handling barrel and masterwork and slide shot opening shot. 51 handling 41 range then the 2 range perks basically max the range out, very consistent now.
