Ooohh im loving that music in the back
I like how vintage it is. it suits the vintage era so well.
Only reason I wanna go back is the way people dressed and the music.

Weird feeling when you know almost everyone in this footage is dead.
YEAH...
not all, there's a person who age 100
@Jotaro DIO!! in fact, the video shows people of legal age and children, babies would have to appear in the video in order for them to be alive today. those people would have more than 120 years to be alive
You read my mind man! Sad to know ,soon or later, all of us will be just memories :(
Jotaro DIO!! Well my grandpa has 98 years, she was born in 1922
they wore suits and ties to work on the fields. they were so well dressed.
hoangkimtran Especially kids. They actually dressed nicely and didn't look like trash like now.
hoangkimtran why they'd stop??
its stupid, not practical.
@@setioryski5961 I wouldn't call it stupid...they wore trousers and button ups while working, they had pleats so they had more room in the thigh area, button ups can be unbuttoned in the heat, and suspenders keep your pants up better than a belt. It wasn't only practical but a sign of respect, and as Tom Ford said so perfectly, "dressing well is a form of good manners".
@@setioryski5961 yes
Only 1910s kids will remember
Only some gravestones remember :)
No because we mostly traveled in horse and buggy in the 1910s. These clips are just showing early cars back then that barely anyone owned besides the rich.

Ah the good old days
My Great Grandmother was born in 1917 and I remember visiting her sometimes whenever I was a little kid and what’s crazy is I’m only 30 years old.
I’m 23 and my great grandmother was born in 1898, she died in 2001 (when I was 3). Lived 103 years
My Great Grandmother was born 1919 and died in 2012.
It shows how these times were not so long ago
I'm 18 and my great grandmother was born in 1914. She died in 2010. I remember talking to her on the phone a lot, but because she lived far away I hadn't seen her since I was 4, before I can remember.
Well, my grandmother was born in 1856, she died 100 years later, in 1956. What life💀

Great grandparents for me. Most of them were born in the late 1890s to 1910s. All of my grandparents were born in the late 1930s and 1940s. My parents were born in the 1960s. I was born in 2001.

0:51 The suspension on the vehicle in the dirt road is impressive. Looks like a very smooth ride.

It had to align itself on the dirt tracks like a trolley 😂😂
Yes definitely very smooth
That's not suspension, thats zero suspension. However the video is sped up and this is just one of many many models in the era, of extremely different qualities.
My god - the energy! (Plays more realistically at 0.75 speed.)

anyne else wish they lived in this time?
I have a fascination with the Edwardian Era (1901-c. 1914). MY FAIR LADY and MARY POPPINS are some of my favorite films, partly due to the fact that they take place in that period. DOWNTON ABBEY was also a fave, until they moved beyond WWI, after Series 2.
Hey im into the Edwardian Era aswel
Society was great and people were really men and women, but the things that were going on back then and the medicine technology, etc back then I'm glad I didn't live in that time because it was hard living in those times. Despite the fact that people back then really came close together in comparison to now
And the freedom back then to now is a big difference, unless you where white non Jewish and had money, living in that time would have sucked
Not if you had to go to WWI. Chemical warfare atrocious.
I would love to have lived during this time.
I love history. I enjoy Ancient Egypt, Greeks, Roman, Mesopotamian, Warring States, Sengoku period, Victorian era, early 90s america, but I would hate living in any of those era lmao.

1:06 Winston Churchill cameo to the left.
I don't think so. Chruichill didn't look like that until the 1940s - in the 1910s he was far slimmer and dapper. Google "Churchill siege of Sidney Street" for pictures of him then.
were traffic laws a thing in the 1920s or did people just not care? cuz id be scared as hell to leave my house in new york
At a point of time, there wasn’t any traffic laws. I don’t know about this one though.
Because, the car just came to be in the world and to America twenty years prior to the taping, and people driving them wasn't still that high, so traffic laws weren't really a thing. Because during this time in America, the car was still seen as a tool. As you can see in the video, automobiles were really used for transporting a lot of items at the most. Not compared today with millions needing one just to get from point a to point b.
The fact that the guy's carriage is stuck and the other dude is just filming instead of helping him is hilarious
Some things never change about society…
I wish I could visit that time whenever I wanted
