@@MrSIVAAFI Probably because there are 15 others doing almost the same thing for $20 down the street... Also saw a few street artists like these all over San Francisco a few years ago.

I was in Times Square this week and bought 2 of these painting from other artist for $20 a piece. They come out at night and you can find them on the side of the roads in Times Square.

And Ebay would be flooded with thousands of artists producing countless similar works and would thus drive the price down to around 15-30$. Anything that can be produced this quickly will not command high prices, EVER!

This is exactly what I was thinking. That's just art stealing if someone like him charges like $15 for it. Well, with that price he gets customers so yeah, it makes sense, but if I was there I'd pay him atleast $100-200 for each one. :P

Stuff like this (art) is really worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it but yeah if I were there and he said 50-75 bucks I wouldn't really be shocked because that is genuine art but I guess he has worked out the economics and knows what price points work best, but damn at least charge like 25. 15 bucks for that is crazy. I'd give him 50 just on gp.
People who say these painting are worth $100 dollars and up don't understand markets. The market for these paintings are completely saturated with artists doing the same stuff...thus driving down prices. Anything that can be produced within 10 minutes will never get a high price no matter how amazing it looks.

In New York? Yes. In smaller towns like where I live? I bet there's only two people who do this regularly, 5 who have ever tried it, and five paintings that have ever been worth selling. I sold my first (horrible quality) for $15. My second one was ruined by my impatience. My third was sold for $25. It depends on where you live and how popular that art form is around there. If you're the only artist within 2 hours of driving, you're going to be able to sell it for more.

one thing I've seen from alot of these artist is they are under charging people way to low.i would sell them for 50 dollars a pop and no less.this guy is a good artist but a bad business man.you have to factor in paint supplies,tape,and expensive paper.it totally bothers me that they aren't charging more.other than that he needs to come up with different ideas,you can't keep on making the same thing over and over again.be creative and make somthing besides outer space
