Just found out, by reading the comments, that Phil's parents died in a car crash (on the 18th of August 2023). Phil, I am so terribly sorry for your family! That they were so lovely and loving ... and got to go together, IS rather extraordinary. The silver lining to an otherwise devastating cloud. You have been the loveliest presenter, along with Kirstie, for 24 years... and I'm sure your parents must have been so proud of just how lovely you are! I miss my parents every day (but also feel them around me). So much love coming to you from all over the world. I'm in the Pacific Northwest of America. I watch you and Kirstie EVERY day (repeats) because your show makes me feel good, makes me laugh and makes me feel great affection for the two of you. Thoughts and prayers for you and all of the family. ❤

"We expect to downsize in the size of our property, but not what it delivered in regards to living space or rooms." So we want you to find us a smaller house that's the same size as our previous house but with the possibility of adding onto the house, because we expect to downsize. Yeah, OK. Sure. That makes total sense.

They meant they want less land (property), but not a smaller house. In fact they wanted something fairly large with room to extend. Listen to it again.

@@franjenkins5091 His parents both died on Friday in a car accident after their car toppled over a bridge.
It’s mad how they have teenagers and already kicking them out in there head. Knowing the market they may still be with you for another 15 years lol.

I fell sorry for the children..not only do they have put up with having her for a mother but they will be pulled out of their nice spacious home and away from their friends in the area to a vastly inferior home in all respect's...I suspect there's financial difficulties behind the move!!!.

Dan and misa was a sweet couple, hanna and john scared me a bit.
Both lady buyers had unrealistic expectations of what they could get for their budget and were both reluctant to compromise. Luckily, because of the skill and experience of both Kirsty and Phil, they were brought to reason. A nice selection of properties.

@@patriciahadley2374 Ya, I know it's old, but it's a new upload. Living in Canada, I can only see these shows on youtube, so I'm not fussy about how old they are. I just get excited when one I haven't seen gets uploaded for viewing.
Can someone explain to me where the problem is with having the bathroom downstairs ? She is not 80 years old, is she? Can't she walk upstairs after taking a bath?
Or is there something I've missed?
People would rather have a bathroom on the same floor as the bedrooms.
John and Hannah are such a humorous couple, Hannah especially. While both couples had lots of requirements, veering into OTT at times, they were both personable and never rude.
Kirsty if you get closer to town they’ll have a small garden and they’ll be able to walk out the door for a cup of coffee can you wait for the boondocks you’re so good at finding things at the right price exactly where people want!

I'm amazed how huge English furniture is, considering the small scale of these houses. I'd throw it all out and start over.
But the furniture wouldn’t come with the house…and the current owners are selling so they’re not going to be in the house for much longer.

RUclips REALLY needs to 'up their game': Underlining KIRSTIE's name in red. It's an ENGLISH NAME. Get a clue, RUclips! Half the time, the words that are flagged (by red underlining) are PERFECTLY CORRECT.
He says Hanna the way my people did.. Hanner...brings back memories from my childhood...even though I grew up on the other side of the world. My ancestors are from England. I'm so romantic over my heritage.

In this episode Phil didn't do a good job for his clients. Misha and her boyfriend should have just paid the full 110 for the house in Lanesfield, it was a beautiful house and would let them get on with their lives.
It always amazes me how unrealistic couples can be, nearly as much as it amazes me how many unmarried couples are willing to buy a house together - it's a huge financial entanglement to make with someone you won't commit to in other areas.
What you don't realise is that marriage has lately been becoming something of the past in the UK and that most of couples with children are not married these days.
@@AA-uf3bl I do realize that is the case (as with my own stepdaughter) in the UK and in the US, perhaps most of the "Western" world. However, my comment stands with regard to making such a serious financial commitment "as a couple", which becomes very messy if the relationship goes awry as the legalities are not the same as "splitting" by a married couple. That anyone is willing to get themselves involved in one way, but avoids the other, which has greater legal coverage, will never cease to amaze me.
@@4dc2london I totally agree with you. Guess what amazes me even more! Gay couples buying a house together (and there's a good number of them in this series) despite the well-known fact that gay couples have very short relationships and that their relationships don't last in general.
First of all - does anyone understand that sending condonlences to Phil are a waste of time as he is NOT the downloader. Secondly, I disliked both women in this episode, one was a total misery and the other giggled like a maniac for no reason at all
