I would like the ability to bookmark some of my rides (“my epic rides”) so I can get back to them quickly to relive the ride and/or plan to do it again.
Having a choice to customise my own ride is a kudos from me. Being able to hide stats is a cool feature which will probably be popular in crit races. I just wish Strava would take a good look at the segment map. It’s worse now since the last update they did on it. You can’t find most local segments only pre selected ones. Great video as always Shane 👍🏻
agreed the segment map via your phone no longer works. i will KNOW a segment is there.. and try to zoom into the exact location and nothing with come up. super frustrating. i used to look at my phone when i’d stop somewhere random on the ride.. and see if there were any segments near by for a challenge after the stop.. and now it’s impossible to find something. then i go home and see there was a segment exactly where i was looking..
@@minitage9429 would be good to set indoor rides to always be X, mountain to always Y and gravel/CX rides to be Z. It's one of the most requested features and not that hard to implement

Thanks for the info. One small other thing, when selecting bike it is now radio buttons on iOS rather than scroll down click, realise it didn’t work and repeat.
I would become a pay member if they would implement more features aimed at becoming better. Designing my personal training program would be essential for me to do that.
In time for lockdown 6 to be relaxed tomorrow for regional Victoria. More privacy features and interactivity is useful. Progress tracking is a bit limited
All of these metric visibility settings should be configurable for all future workouts. Having to manually edit them for each activity is just unnecessary busywork.
Inline skating has had a massive boom since corona. Unfortunatly, alot of features in Strava are only for runners and cyclists like looking for segments near you or having a warning when approaching one. We speedskaters hope that will change soon.
I would love to have a list of suggested workouts from Strava. Better yet, just tell me what heart rate and or pace I need to hit in order to raise my stress score to x level.
One thing that baffles me is why I still need to go and edit information on a per-ride basis. If I always want to hide my HR for example, why not allow me to do that for all rides. Not edit my rides every single time...
It would definitely be nice to use Strava in such ways as Training Peaks. However, I often see a big or clear difference (often lower) in the stats (average & normalised power, average & max. speed) reported by strava for my rides compared to what I see on my wahoo head unit; for example. I don't have a training peaks account anymore for comparison. So, I'm wondering how accurate are the stats on Strava; especially with respect to fitness, form and freshness levels?
I wish they would make it so you could select to hide stats on all uploads. Ie just hide heart rate for all activities without having to go into each activity and do it.
There’s a roll out taking place for a few new features through to the 18th. If they’re not showing up on the 19th and you’re on the latest app, ping Strava support.
As an Australian based subscriber this feature does not seem available as yet. I even deleted and replaced the app but only the #statmap tags work. There is no facility to edit map types in edit activity? Strange you have this in Vic?
So you get on your e-bike or motorcycle and set a new KOM and then you can hide your power and heart rate so nobody can easily see you defied the laws of physics for a normal human being…smart move Strava
I'd like to hide the map at all. The rest of the data I don't care. In the northern hemisphere the cyclocross season will start soon and when I'd only ride in legal areas a proper training would be impossible.
When will you guys fixed the privacy leak for routes? When sharing the link www.strava.com/routes/23834626 the user, name or surname should not be visible - unless the user makes it available.
Here's the thing that keeps me off strava as my primary training 'tracker': they are held captive by their equity investors. If the equity investor tells Strava to hold my data hostage for additional revenue then that's what Strava will do. I think the moves with segment data are indicative of this type of equity investor control.
I wish they allowed us to hide the time of day the activity was done…. Stops people’s bosses etc stalking them on Strava
Gotoes can do that for you online

Absolutely. If Strava integrated training peaks, it would be the perfect app.
Yes, if Strava had Training Peaks-like planning then I'd only need one of them. Not both.
+1
If Strava had better performance analytical tools I’d dump my Training Peaks subscription.
I use today’s plan to dive into my data
Me too.
+1 on if they had better performance analytics, I’d ditch TP too…
Check out intervals.icu good analytics, not as polished at TP but you pay a lot less for it. Also if you have Chrome try the Strava Sauce plugin.
@@cory1newton looks pretty good!
Would be sweet if Strava made it possible to organize routes one makes in folders
Or tags/labels... or find them by location on a map
If only we could set default bikes for different ride types
I want PRs by bike type. I'll never hit my road bike PRs on my hybrid, but I'd like to know when I've got a new best for that bike
?? Have you set up my gear in settings on the website?, Amending the bike or running shoe from default while I edit the title isn't that annoying,

Wish they would roll out a calendar that we can add planned activities to.
Thanks GP, great video as always
The planning activities trainingload and fitness would defo made me switch from trainingpeaks to strava👍
I’d like it when Strava would absorb/integrate the Strava Sauce (Chrome) plugin functionalities.

I would very much like the option to schedule activities in the future.

Ability to create and schedule workouts as easy as it is on TrainingPeaks and Strava subscription suddenly becomes very important.
nice information. . . terbaik lah
Thanks for the Heads Up 👍
Great review, Llama.
I’d love to be able to create customized reports.

The Edit options is welcome and long overdue
Strava training plans needs to be downloaded as workout to bike computers! Now they only send daily mails.
A nice update, but sticking with Training Peaks for when I need coaching. Will keep uploading data to both.
I’d definitely use it for planning training as I don’t use training peaks 👍🏾
They have Training Plans
I’d like to see soon a stat page in segments with all top 10 segments…

Why would u wanna hide ur heart rate? 🤔
@@MR-wh5wp Shane covered some of the reasons in his video 😉
100% - I'd love to be able to set defaults for privacy too - eg. walks always private, everything else public, unless it's under 5km

What power meter are you using?
@@gplama I'm using the Stages power meter for Shimano 105 but Left-side/single-sided only

I'm on Android.
After the recent update the People, Bell and Settings icon are weirdly spaced out. #ocd
Have others found this to be the case as well?
Anyone else take a look at the recently used emojis when Shane entered his private notes for his ride......? Egg Plant :-D
It’s my autocorrect that’d scare people more. 🤣

I don’t see any of these new features in my Strava app. I’m a paying member from the Netherlands. Is the update rolled out per country or something?

That was my first thought
There’s always a way to cheat the system. Always.
And yet we STILL cannot edit out power spikes!!!!
I would like to hear Shane's thoughts on "Excluded Segments" with no ability to protest.
Excluded segments? As in what they deem dangerous or the downhill ones?
At the moment I'm really disappointed by Strava because my Garmin running power is not shown on Strava. But Polar or Suunto running power is shown -.-
Nice progressive updates. Still no units per activity type. :(
I can only select map types Standard, Heart Rate, Time and BLM on the site :(.
(Nothing on my Android phone yet)
The web updates are lacking at the moment. I hope when this is @ 100% roll-out the options/features are 1:1 with web and mobile.
