Thanks! The spacious baggage area placed behind the rear seat can hold up to 2 small children or all your luggage for a fine seaside holiday :) The video about that is definitelly on our bucket list.
Awesome video. The simple things really do make a difference on long flights. The dog protection cover cap was funny but very cool. I'm hoping to test fly one in spring. Thank you for posting.

I absolutely love the aircraft! It’s stunning! But I’ve got one question, is it possible to somehow “block” the controls for the rear seat’s stick and throttle and then “unblock” them when you feel like it? Because i think i’d be quite nervous if i’d flying an adventurous passenger who would maybe want to “play” with the controls a little. I hope that won’t happen of course, i am planning to fly with responsible people, but i’m just asking
I think it would be wise to make to make the trim switch on the stick a split design with two contactors, for safety. Worth the few extra euros for a second switch...
Hi and thanks for the comment. Please leave us your email contact and we will send you the details. You can also contact sales@shark.aero for more detailed information. Cheers!
@@sharkairplane So what are you trying to hide, it is a bad habit of sales type to try and hide the key specs, the price, then I know it will be too high. Someone have to write the cheque.
Yes, mostly regulatory. In many countries aerobatics are forbidden for our aircraft category (ultralight, microlight, light sport). Shark has not been certified for aerobatics.
Hello, my name is André, I'm Brazilian, and I have a question? the aircraft is beautiful and with many unique details, but I was under the impression that the panel, mainly takes away a little visibility on landing. Some videos show a view, which I believe the camera is above the helmet. Of course I could be wrong, but it's a question I had.
Hi Andre, the visibility from the airplane is perfect on landing also thanks to the adjustable seats so you can set how high you are actually sitting to perfectly see over the panel. Also thanks to the tandem seating you can see both to the left and right side to check how high above the ground you are. Come to Costa Rica and find out yourself :)
@@sharkairplane Hello, thank you immensely for the contact, response and invitation of course. I sure would if it weren't for the simple barrier of reality. I wish everyone involved much success in making such a special dream come true. Congratulations on your effort and success.
Is there a version of ths Shark, or one planned, with improved G limits? +4/-2 is a little tight for an airplane that looks like a lot of fun to maneuver in
Yes, by using the Izi cover. Heating yes - incl. intensity regulation. There’s no AC provider for this aircraft category but we have about a dozen ventilation points with intensity regulation to maintain comfortable environment. On the ground the canopy has a special lock to keep it partially open while taxiing.
@@sharkairplane Thanks. One more question please. What is the payload? I need to carry about 100 lbs of gear, plus a passenger in the 230 lb weight range. Is that possible?
@@windowsxseven absolutely :-). Its just a thought about habits and muscle memory… if i would like to buy a shark i would definitely ask to interchange the buttons…
Absolutely love your aircraft! I'll never own one, though, because of the certification standards in the US. Here, you can't just call an aircraft an "ultralight" and sell it as such. The aircraft has too much performance and complexity to be sold here under light sport rules, right? Is there any way around this rules mess?
@@tsmgguy LSA rules say no retractable landing gear unless its a motor glider, and no variable pitch propeller controls. They also limit maximum speed to 120ktas and altitude to 10,000ft except when crossing mountains. No night flights. And limitations on airspace usage. You can't leave the cell phone charge out of the equation, lol. Seriously such a beautiful plane working on my private pilot license. Hope one day I can own this sexy planeto enjoy the skies.
I am not a fighter pilot and prefer side by side seating even if there will be higher drag, and lots of luggage space than just for my tooth brush if I am going to 1600 miles away. If that is a BRS chute I see, it better be an option I can do without, for that is a costly item to maintain. You should also be up front with the price, after all, the buyer have to write the cheque and that is a key spec. Too many engineers tunnel visioned on performance and forgot about the affordability, and they wonder why their airplane did not sell. If you use Rotax engines, that will not help you cut cost at all.
Sure, plenty of customers prefer side by side. However, once you experience the space&comfort and the view out of Shark, you might give it a second thought. Not to mention the performance. The ballistic rescue system is included in each and every Shark as we take safety most seriously and do not compromise. Modern cars also don’t sell without an airbag. The baggage space can fit even golf clubs and we’re preparing a separate video about it. So far 177 Sharks have been ordered by our customers in 24 countries. We consider Rotax to be the most reliable option in our category having more than 180.000 engines produced. If you post your email address or contact sales@shark.aero, we’ll be happy to send you the price list with its hundreds of items, which we generally prefer the distributors to properly explain to our customers.
Sorry but you are wrong. It has to be tandem seat to be more slick which results in better performance on a small aircraft/engine. The Rotax is a proven power source. Or buy an old Cessna and negate all the advantages. The BRS has saves hundreds of lives and is a big sales tool for Cirrus as it gives a second chance.
