We had one of these in the early 2000s in black. All original everything. I was in high school, but I used to take it out at night after my dad went to sleep and surprise guys from light to light haha. “What the hell have you got in there!?” One really cool quirk about them was the hand cranked sunroof. Only time I’d ever seen that.

Had an '88 in same color from new in western Canada. Amazing car but had to sell it to pay for grad school five years later, and was rallied after that. It was an exceptional car for the Rockies, particularly on gravel and high altitude. Top speed far exceeded any published #'s. Now have a mint 08 STi for my fun car, but regret selling the GTX. Nobody knew what they were. A Calgary dealer had three new ones getting NO interest because who would pay Can$22K for a 323. They gave it to me for $16K and knowing what it was, had to fight to not look too excited. Great car.

Bought my 323 gtx in '98, the previous owner pulled it up to 190hp. .. it was the funnest vehicle I have ever driven...it could make the ladies and the men look at you and give you that "holly shit dude look" it was a fun car... the way that turbo spooled up and the way it sounded was pretty cool...love that car...

A buddy of mine has one that is absolutely 100% restored and very tastefully modded,big turbo,fuel management,rool cage.The underside is just as nice as the top side. He also has a stunning all black 2nd genn RX7 super clean. He's super meticulous about his cars.

I miss my GTX, super fun car to drive and it was a super sleeper. Back in 98 even though these cars was rare between my friends and I we have about 4 GTX two red one white and black I had a red GTX and 4 GT one silver, two black and one red

took me 5 years of looking for a 323 that didn't have the rear rotted out, finally found one with 93k original miles (poverty spec, no gtx sadly) still a blast of a car, doing a full rest of it here when it warms back up a little! gonna feel like a brand new car when I'm done with it hopefully!

I had a 323 put the engine and trans ecu from the Capri chipped it put a mx5 turbo as a upgrade with a little convicing and walk 20 lbs all day with few mods!

I got an 88 but it's a 1.5 n/a fwd carbed 🙆super fun to drive just a bit upsetting as these cars don't have any aftermarket support also they make great platforms for builds but they slept on big time
