Roadtrek Simplicity Black Valve Handle extension

Quick video on making life a little simpler in our Roadtrek Simplicity motorhome with a Black Valve Extension Handle. The original handle was really buried under there. Do a Amazon search for Valterra TX8HPB 8" Extension Tube with Handle . The approximately 2" piece you cut from the 8" extension works perfect to extend the gray handle out too!!

Hi Jack, Thank you I appreciate looking at videos re. my Roadtrek. Mine is a 2019 SRT. Have have read in the Maintenance section "That Twice a Year with the tank empty, add one cup of mineral oil and one cup of hot water to the gray tank."
Nothing is explained as to what this does.
Do you think it lubricates the Gray and Black tank valves?

That is exactly why but instead I have drilled holes in the valves and have fill with silicone spray lube . Makes them silky smooth. There are many RUclips videos on how to do this. search Lubricating RV valves . It was impossible to get my drill into the Black tank valve due to its location so I heated up a wire and pushed it in the plastic. Worked perfect.

Hi Jack, Thank you for your vids I just purchased a Simplicity SRT So glad I found your channel. I have heard the handles are switched on the dumping tanks, meaning grey handle is the black tank and the black handle is the grey tank. Please advise. Thanks

Thank you for your kind words. I know they are not very good videos but I always appreciated when someone would make a video on what they had encountered when doing something. There are reports that the paper labels are switched but not the handle colors. Whatever color, the black tank is the forward valve, and the grey tank is the aft handle. The big one in the center is your gravity dump.
