@@jasonlazo5016 Honestly if you took your time and did it right you didn't have to spend much more on doing it in your garage with tarps a box fan and filter. You could buy a decent spray gun for 20$ but I've used rattle cans but the 2k kind and color matched 3 stage paint for crystal white pearl from lexus. Next time just don't cheap out and never ever ever do it outside when a storms about to hit.
Jesus why did you ruin the original paint... and why on earth did you paint outside when you have a garage when it's windy and about to rain ? You didn't even take the short amount of time to properly mask everything off including your wheels. This hurts me as I take a lot of pride in my IS and feel like most others do too. Ouch this is too painful to watch
Hey Jason, I would appreciate it if you could tell me if 4200 is fair for 140,000 miles on a 2001 Lexus is300 or is it a scam also what should I check on an is300
Why don't you plug in a scan tool and check everywhere for any type of leaks or ghetto fabbed Jerry rig fixes. Also before any test drive turn the car on and just let it run... take your time just bullshit with the owner and see if he starts to get nervous at all or trying to push for the test drive. Let it run a good 10-15 mins then shut it off and check for any leaks. Then go for your drive. I'd personally pay 3500 for a really decent 2001 with 140 but if it's got any aftermarket parts or owned by a young person just walk away quickly trust me.
I mean hey, it’s a project car for a reason lol not a show car. I felt that paint when the clear coat had the chem reaction😭 I remember when I was painting my grill it took like 7 attempts of sanding, priming, painting, clear coating to finally get it to a ok look.
That poor is300 didn't deserve this
It was hard to watch 🥺
😭
About time you posted this yo it looks pretty good for the spray can. ! I got a pretty bummed out when I saw the bubbles on the driver door
Thank you for the kind words! The bubbles are fixed now but I was so heartbroken when I saw them too
I have been waiting patiently for this lol
Oh me too!
Wish It turned out better for you! It was lowkey cringing watching this 😆
Haha thank you, it’ll be a little better once I fix the some of the runs and get around to buffing it
You shouldn't have used clear
Wet sand and buff 💪
I did that! Check out the follow up video. It’s not the result I wanted 🙃
should've DIY'd a wrap job, would've beeen a lot cleaner tbh
why not plasti dip or wrap it instead of a shitty rattle can paint job lol
I dislike plasti dip, and I though I could do a decent job spray painting it. Boy was I wrong

I goofed up.

I’ll buy it! For real.
I’m pretty sure a blind person with no arms could have done a better job. You should stop 🛑 this is a crime

I’ll just park in the shade so you can’t see all the imperfections 😂
