Hello.. I'm 61 year's old..My first bike was a Sky Blue Schwinn Stingray in 1968..My next bike was a Redline that I raced in California , mostly at Saddle Back Park..Since then I have had several bikes of all classes.. My age and health had me in a bad place for awhile..I started watching your videos and a couple other old school bike enthusiast..I just recently picked up up a Black GT Performer 29.As is from the factory is pretty decent riding..I will be using it for just cruising around downtown Phoenix mostly..I will be upgrading the pedals and I will get some Pro Max P1 brakes and levers and a good helmet.. The pedals will be a pair of MZYRH Mt Bike pedals...I just want to ride again... Great videos , keep up the work.. Maybe I will run across you some day in the Phoenix valley..✌️
Aye! Welcome to the family. I'd love to go riding. Follow me on Instagram if you have one @bigbikebmx. I post the local rides around town so you can decide if you want to come pedal around with some friends you just haven't met yet!
My big BMX is a RSD Middlechild punkass singlespeed with 3" rise bars, Hope disc brakes for an enduroBMX that is allaboot playing. 3" tires on i45 rims for dirtin in the loose forested terrain. 44° hoodie weather here in the Colorado Rockies! Setup is an area I consider to be as subjective as tire pressure and seat choice. Experiment, find that groove and ride bikes!! Headtube angle on that SuperCross is ideal for trialsy riding. Has to be a really playful, fun bike!
Great work usual. Do a video on solutions for routine brake and rear derailleur cables, for example, through headset so we can do boomerangs and tail whips on our 29 big wheel bikes, Genxer 🏍 bro. Freestyler Julian from Brooklyn, NY.
I'm building my Supercross 450SX 24". I got a 40mm reach Stem from S&M and fitted some 165mm cranks as I always found shorter cranks & reach make it easier to hop or spin, combined with the short chainstays on the Supercross frame it will be a little ripper!
Yup. I flipped the stem when I installed it for bar height. It feels the same to me though. I thought it "might" be something I'd feel, but its so small it doesn't translate to being better/worse in my experience. Top-load stems are noticeable, this just wasn't.
Great advice Isaac! 💯✌😀

@@Sunspot-19 absolutely. Find what works for you. I just want you to enjoy your bike whatever you do on it🤘
@@BigBikeBMX It does help folks to realize, there are things to adjust to make a better fit and feel.

Great tips for anyone who just got a new bike!
Yup. Anytime you get new stuff, its a great time to make those little adjustments to get the most out of your bike.

Yup! I love that idea. I run 170mm cranks on both 26 and 29 because I get more power to keep the wheel up. Cant wait to see what you build!
@@BigBikeBMX I will post a video of it when it's done 👊
What tire pressure do you run? I’m about 200 pounds. Riding a big flyer 29” with bozacks.
@@payevhizmoney I’m 220lbs and I run 40-45psi. Experiment with different levels and you’ll find what works for you.
Interesting to say the least.....👍
thanks man!
I do have a question..is there a old original company that still in business that hasn't been sold through the years ?
Gotta be dialed!
Stem is upside down
