Michigan Stadium is just that, simple and elegant, but with an extremely intimidating game-day environment. Looking at it from the outside, you wouldn't have guessed how massive it really is. In addition to an NHL Winter Classic, it's also hosted college hockey and Premier League soccer friendlies.
Great video as always, however I would say that the AO Arena in Manchester and the O2 Arena in London have larger capacities than the Stark Arena. Not sure what the criteria is though for your final decisions on what makes it the biggest.
Bash me for not being tech savvy, but I’m unsure how to DM you. Love your work, headed to Rome and the coliseum soon, would love to see a video/s on old/ancient/demolished stadiums if you can find renderings. Just an idea. Keep it up!
Seating in the Greensboro Coliseum is just under 20,000, the 23,000 number is with the old seating and includes floor seats for concerts. The largest arena is the Dean Smith Center about an hour away, 21,750.
Also depends on whether you consider the Carrier Dome (or, ugh, the JMA Wireless Dome) an arena. Yes, it hosts football, but it is as much a basketball venue as a football/lacrosse one.
@Drew B 22,00 is for concerts with floor seating. For basketball right now it holds 21,021, but that includes the temporary seats around the court. The true capacity with just the permanent seats (hockey capacity) is just under 20k.
Be interesting to compare the record attendance for each region in comparison to the current largest capacity Camp Nou in Europe at 99k now but used to hold 115k , the old Stadium of Light held 120k , old Wembley once held 123k and I think the old bowls in Glasgow all had huge attendance records with Hampden once holding 153k . You also had rugby stadiums in excess of 100k attendance in Odsal Stadium in England and Murrayfield in Edinburgh South America would obviously be the Maracana at 199k and the Morumbi 150k In Oz the MCG could hold 120k before the renovations Asia pass don’t know , I assume Eden Gardens would have had the biggest attendance previously but don’t know the numbers North America I assume it would still be the big house and I guess it’s not shrunk but grown over the years although the Aztec Stadium I guess may have had some bigger crowds before it was updated
Asia's record attendance might be at the Rungrado 1st of May stadium in Pyongyang, which before renovations was said to have a capacity of 150,000. I'm not sure we can necessarily believe the claimed attendance figures though.
Lots of countries (and of course, continents) have 1 or 2 big stadiums and arenas, but North America (due to the USA) has dozens of big stadiums and arenas.
Random person: Seems like a bit too much seating in the Greensboro Coliseum. Would it ever sell tgat many tickets. Ric Flair: You don't know my history, do you?
You leave us hanging with Antarctica?
There are football "pitches" at quite a few of the Antarctic bases, including McMurdo.

Maybe you could look at the stadiums in different leagues 20 or 30 years ago to see what’s changed?
Great video as always, however I would say that the AO Arena in Manchester and the O2 Arena in London have larger capacities than the Stark Arena. Not sure what the criteria is though for your final decisions on what makes it the biggest.
Athens Olympic sports hall is also larger than stark arena
Big Gym at McMurdo Station, Antartica?
Greensboro Coliseum was the first home of the Carolina Hurricanes (NHL), while their arena in Raleigh was still under construction.
note before watching: I'm really looking forward to the Antarctica stadium:
edit: damn you delivered

Cool video. Thank you. Please do the Slovenian Football league 1.
Great video as per
OAKA in Athens is bigger than Stark arena
Fun video. For Asia, I believe North Korea’s stadium has a larger capacity than the one in India- and in fact the world’s largest at about 150k
No the capacity was wrongly reported by some journalists. The actual capacity is 110,000 which is still huge to be fair
It was said to be 150,000 until it was remodelled in 2014, and is now put at 114,000.

Actually the capacity for the Coliseum is 22,000.

the Sports Hall of Rades in Tunisia appears to have a slightly larger seating capacity than the Cairo Stadium
Lanxess Arena, Manchester Arena and London’s O2 are all larger arenas in Europe
The narrator is Australian. He may not consider the old dart to be part of Europe.
Pls make a video about the stadiums of the swiss national hockey league! Would be very cool

Greensboro coliseum has acc basketball 🏀 . Hosted carolina hurricanes of nhl
Yes about 30 000 on the first day maybe more if England vs Australia plays in the ashes on the first day.
You made a mistake for Europe. Cologne´s Lanxess Arena has a capacity of 20.000 (max) and 19.400 for Handball.
AO arena in Manchester and the O2 are both bigger
Lots of countries (and of course, continents) have 1 or 2 big stadiums and arenas, but North America (due to the USA) has dozens of big stadiums and arenas.
Yo you forgot Arena La Défense in Paris. 40k or so seats they play rugby, permanently covered
Did Melbourne Cricket Grounds also hosted an American Major League Baseball game involving the Los Angeles Dodgers years ago?
No
They played at the SCG in Sydney, an historic venue to be sure but not size wise not close to the gigantic MCG
Random person: Seems like a bit too much seating in the Greensboro Coliseum. Would it ever sell tgat many tickets.
Ric Flair: You don't know my history, do you?
I never knew that my City has the biggest arena in NA
Imagine a stadium in Antarctica 😂😂, it will be like super striker😂😂😂 the iron tank
I get qudos bank but wouldn’t Etihad also technically be an arena?
It's weird that the largest stadium and arena in North America are both college venues.
yeah i thought Bell Centre Home of the NHLs Montreal Canadiens was the biggest Indoor Arena in NA.
Galicia. RC DEPORTIVO CORUÑA.
I thought Bell Centre was biggrest indoor arena in NA
I think the manchester arena is bigger than the stark arena but ok
