Genuinely I don't like her design because it doesn't look like it belongs in Touhou. I guess you could say it makes sense since she's from the outside world but it won't make me like her design more. It's the glasses tbh

12.8 is so underrated. The gameplay is incredibly unique, and OST absolutely slaps. I also have a habit playing this game when my internet turns off
Honestly when I first played it back when I was new to Touhou it gave me emotional damage because I found it too hard. But I came back later, got a lunatic 1cc and yeah it is pretty fun, there’s quite a lot of strategy when it comes to freezing the bullets and yes I always play it on Cirno day ahahahah. The game’s also got this strange nostalgic feel to it, I can’t quite explain it though

EoSD is my favorite but its because I like barebones gameplay. Plus it set a precedent for the series as the pioneer of new era touhou.
I like Sumireko for her connection with Secret Sealing Club and outside world. Gives some hopeful themese that Phantasy World is the real one.

Holy, nailed it on 7 and 8 to the point it's frightening, because I did get into Touhou because of the lore and Yukari is my favorite character
Me, having only played TH2 Eastern Wonderland so far with 2/3 Normal 1CCs cleared towards unlocking extra, not having had the chance to play any of the other games yet in order to properly choose a favorite one...

Hey, don't know if you already knew this, but if you just want to unlock the Extra, you can do an easy 1cc and it will count towards unlocking Extra stage. That's what I did for the two other shot types after I did a successful normal 1cc.
@pandakekok Yeah, I knew. I know I'm capable of clearing it on normal, so I pushed myself to do all the shot types on normal 1CCs. Another alternative for unlocking extra is to download a score file from Moriya Shrine for the associated game.

My favorite is UM, but I don't really like grinding for cards. I like using them to make the game easier! It's the first SHMUP I 1CC'd. After that, I like SA, because sometimes punching A wall is fun (it's like playing Summer Carnival '92: RECCA), it has great bullet patterns, and Satori is pretty cool. Also, Utsuho has my favorite Touhou character design.
Also the Fairy Wars game is pretty good. Freezing things is cool, and it has Sunny Milk. It somewhat reminds me of Ikaruga, but it's easier to wrap my head around Fairy War's mechanics and level design.
According to this I guess Touhou 11 is my favorite since I *love* how the Komeiji sisters bounce off every character and I don't mind KKHTA.

That was too harsh on Touhou 2. I still think it's aged legitimately well.
The music definitely aged well. But I can't really say the same for the gameplay, despite SoEW being my favorite. LLS is just too better in that front.

1:43 nope I hate doki doki waku waku. TD is my first Hard 1cc and the game is genuinely good demanding significant memorization and planning even compared to most other touhou games, making the gameplay more interesting than "just dodge". the stage enemies are also almost always a threat from stage 1 to 6 unlike most other touhou games which have many zzz sections outside of bosses. Also Youmu playable
