One-Punch Man (Japanese: ワンパンマン, Hepburn: Wanpanman) is a Japanese superhero manga series created by One. It tells the story of Saitama, a superhero who, because he can defeat any opponent with a single punch, grows bored from a lack of challenge. One wrote the original webcomic manga version in early 2009.
A digital manga remake, illustrated by Yusuke Murata, began publication on Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump website in June 2012. Its chapters are periodically compiled and published into individual tankōbon volumes. As of November 2022, 27 volumes have been released. In North America, Viz Media has licensed the remake manga for English language release and has serialized it in its Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine.

Both of them fought Awakened Garou 2v1 and after a few scenes the smoke goes away and only Flashy Flash and Garou were still standing, clearly indicating that FF is stronger than Darkshine. And then he continues on being able to dodge a relatively srs Awakened Garous attacks for a while eventhough pre awakened Garou dominated Darkshine speedwise. Not to mention that FF after taking that Mans scrolls and Sword had enough ap to casually one hit a massively sized Dragon Lvl and there are several implications that he is the only threat to Metal Knight alongside Tatsumaki in the S class (not counting the constantly absent Blast) and that Metal Knight(or the Neo Heroes or Drive Knight if they turn out to be the bad guys instead) specifically waited to launch their attack to a moment where both FF and Tatsumaki are on missions.
So really in the Webcomic aswell FF is very clearly stronger with better feats,statements,narrative and portrayel and I never understood why FF vs Darkshine was such a Discussion among Fans

Flashy Flash folds Darkshine with no difficulty, Darkshine’s whole thing is being strong and durable yet Flashy Flash who’s all about speed still has better durability and strength feats.
Hi Satori. Before watching, I think FF wins. He fought a way stronger Garou than the one Darkshine fought
But darkshine only got a nose bleed and Garou was unable to keep fighting at the end of it even if Darkshine gave up

@@Business458 Garou was unable to keep fighting because his monsterization began not because he got beaten badly by DS, earlier in the fight after Garou's clothes first spiraled DS hit him with the double bazooka and Garou recovered instantly
I think they were originally equal with FF being faster and Darkshine being stronger. But as he was the last hero standing in the surface they decided to make him fight Monster Garou and PS. As much before he was kinda struggling with a demon level octopus monster, that Darkshine would've turned it to mush with a light tap.
Flashy wasn't "struggling" his attacks just lack the AoE to deal with large monsters and he was going to finish it off with one move regardless before Tatsumaki interrupted

Flash was always supposed to be on that level. In the Webcomic he 1 v 1’d Awakened Garou and did the best out of the entire S class (Darkshine was the only one who also did well)
In the manga, they had him one shot 2 Dragon/Cadre level monsters in a 2 v 1.
He didn’t struggle with the demon, the only issue was it’s size

To be fair, I think they retconned the acid wounds on Darkshine to being just superficial, even if those are clearly his bones in that panel. You can see in chapter 185 that the scars only show up when he's looking down and defeated and don't show up in the mirror (his hands specifically, I know he's wearing a shirt), leading me to believe they may only be psychological and not really physical. Obviously it could just be a sequence error as well, he needs to show up again for us to really see it
Agree, I remember talking to my cousin about Flashy Flash vs Tatsumaki, with me saying that Flashy Flash stands no chance against Tatsumaki, but my cousin brought up a good point that Flashy Flash does stand a small chance because their way faster than Tatsumaki and could beat Tatsumaki before they could put their barrier up. Granted we both agree that Flashy Flash would still lose 8 times out of 10, but the fact that Flashy Flash stands any chance against Tatsumaki goes to prove why they would dominate Darkshine, as I can’t see Darkshine beating Tatsumaki under any circumstances.
I love how the powerscaling brainrot can make someone think that a character themed after gold, having a powerup scene, and becoming themed around platinum (which is almost always seen as superior to gold) is weaker.
Its on the level of saying that a character which gets a x2 power boost may be weaker because "if you double a negative number its smaller". It is borderline illiterate behavior.
Platinum was just a more perfect form. Not necessarily greater in durability or strength as that was the gold forms forte.

What you're seeing is the general inability of people to admit they're wrong. The "well actually" arguments on response to every comment are infuriating.
It doesn't take an investigative team to get to the bottom of this. Platinum is better than golden. Anyone who disagrees is trying to be contrarian just to look smart.
TLDR:
Darkshine takes damage from a much weaker garou than the garou that flashy flash, without a weapon, fought. The same garou who one shot vomit fuhrer ugly who decimates Darkshine

I agree that FF wins, but I think you are downplaying Darkshine's durability quite a bit in this video.
FF wouldn't tank Vomited Fuhrer Ugly's dissolving attack either. And Darkshine was one shot by Golden AFTER being damaged/weakened. It is debatable if Golden S has the attack potency to KO a healthy Darkshine. Fuhrer's attack potency is underrated, Golden S only tanked because of his anti-corrosive properties. Others aren't surviving like Darkshine did.
Nothing that Darkshine tanked did substantial damage to him as you've stated, while FF was KO'd by Platinum S. It is debatable if the same attacks by Platinum would KO a healthy Darkshine or even substantially damage him at all.
I think durability goes to Darkshine, but I think FF would still take the fight mid diff as long as he can damage Darkshine.
The acid, yeah, Flashy isn't tanking that. And I did bring up in the video that Golden should be above Darkshine, but I specifically also said that it's not because of the punch he threw against Darkshine, cuz that was clearly Darkshine completely off guard. It's because he outspeed and pummeled Fuhrer Ugly with no difficulty. The same Fuhrer Ugly who could react to and clash equally with Darkshine strength wise.
@@SatorisYT Yeah true, but also Fuhrer Ugly scales to Darkshine's strength, not his durability. So I think my original point stands. As you said, Darkshine couldn't even damage himself with his strength. We haven't seen any physical-based attack do substantial damage to healthy Darkshine, unlike FF, who was KO'd by Platinum.

It's funny that people think speed and durability doesn't go along with each other. No, the body has to be strong to support certain speed, the faster the stronger you are.

Also another argument for Platinum is that black S only mencions that the cells die when fusing into Platinum.
They say 54 trillion cells died for Platinum to be born even thought 43 were from Golden S.
That might be why Platinum is stronger despite having less cells than Golden.

I think a Easy way to explain the cell number
Is that Golden said His whole arm (from shoulder to hand) was 12 trillion cells but he only lost His forearm (so he would only lost half of His arm) meaning only he only lost 6 trillion cells (as he would only lose half of His arm as he only lost His forearm).
Which would meant His total number was 49 trillion
Meaning he would be weaker than Platinum
Other argument Is that he used the cells on His lost arm in the fusion. Making Platinum still having somewhat His full number.

As unfounded, dumb & fanboy-esque as it might be, my headcanon is that most of Darkshine's stats, but mainly his durability & strength get either super nerfed with his loss of confidence OR get omega buffed WITH his confidence being high, like if Darkshine had an Unbreakable resolve & fought Flash it would be competitive if only because this Darkshine (of my headcanon) should have an immense durability(either uber-buffed or without nerfs) so that Flash feels he has to use his sword to actually deal damage, now when it comes to speed Flash should still be way faster than this fanboy version of Darkshine but not on a blitz level, so Flash would have to keep up his guard otherwise a direct hit from this Darkshine would hurt him badly, basically ending the fight with Flash slowing down enough from the damage taken that he wpuld get hit again, & lose, BUT I still think that this makes more of a High-Diff for both sides, Flashy Slashes should still make Darkshine bleed.
TL,DR: I fanboy DS & think it would be a 50/50. If you think this sounds dumb, refer to the beginning of this Wall O'Text, & you're right. Have a nice day! :3

Metal bats fighting spirit is just like garos ability to grow. Now their durability gets really confusing as since Darkshine was bodied by a suppressed golden S( it is just my assumption that he didn’t use full power) however metal bat survived a really crazy barrage from sage centipede and sage centipede is much stronger than golden S. it’s really confusing

The merge is considered 1 entity so GS stats are worth 43 trillion no matter what he loses, so PS upscales that. Cant be weaker
Well there is a reason the story didnt even try to make ff fight when they got serious. The timer upscale is just insane. From ppl/cameras seeing the after math (light trail) to then going to 1 millisecond. Thats like 100-1000x speed diffirence. Sounds crazy but ppl really downplay PS

Just after Flashy Flash, Platinum S and Garou start fighting, King starts talking to Saitama and Genos and we know it's a conversation at normal speed because King doesn't have super speed.
Also right after Flashy Flash was defeated, the light structure became much denser.
@@maderadealmendra123 You have to keep in mind that the light trails is just the aftermath. So they can stay in the sky for like a few seconds. It doesnt take ff seconds to cover that distance cuz he moves at light speed or above. But the upscale still uplies

this is the order after Garou was chained up and after some moments Puri puri prisoner rush to aid Garou and he called attempts to wake him up in a "hey, we need to rescue you".
6:49 Dodging swords when moving at the speeds of a human is pretty challenging even with Saitama level durability it's really, yet deflecting is possible for him.
If you can do a horizontal jump far with one stride/push with your leg like 4 million meters, then that person is strong with their strength.
Darkshine was punched, then backflipped tumbled by golden s, then his own bodyweight flipped and tumbled uncontrollably and launched really far like 250kg being launched at the speeds of 50 mph or higher and being tumbled many times over then slide on his shoulder, while punched in the face.
Swords and stone can't do damage to Darkshine yet they can "apply force gently" and push on flashy flash and sense that his body is slightly mushed by rocks, not even a big chunk of concrete of a building can withstand Darkshine's durable head.
Another thing you could mention is how Flashy Flash is able to survive hits from Garou's Monster Calamity God Slayer Fist, which is supposed to be a combination of every single martial arts style that Garou mastered, with all of their strengths and none of their weaknesses.
Meaning that Garou's God Slayer Fist should be much stronger than the Exploding Heart Release Fist, which when used by a Sleeping Garou was strong enough to disintegrate Bang's bones with a mere graze.
Like, this is absolutely insane. We have Spiral Garou matching Darkshine's full strength, then evolving into a monster and becoming stronger against Bang, and then he gets stronger once again after waking up and developing the God Slayer Fist. Even when we ignore the Golden / Platinum Sperm side of the conversation completely, Flashy Flash is still unarguably more durable than Darkshine.
Flashy flash blitz but Darkshine still has better dura and strength because Darkshine is a coward. He acted towards G-sperm the same way he did with a weaker garou, though darkshine could've dominate garou at that point but he got scared. His outermost skin got stripped from the acid and he saw golden s tank that same acid and got scared. NOTE THIS IS NOT BECAUSE GOLDEN S IS MORE DURA, gold is literally acid resistant, atomic literally cut his arm off like butter. Due to this Darkshine is more strong and durable than Flashy flash but everything else goes to flashy.
Flashy flash no-low difs.
I still think Golden Sperm is stronger than platinum, not by much but noticeable, but platinum is significantly faster than Golden.

This is just speculation, but do u think darkshine’s eyes are as tough as his skin? I don’t. I know this isn’t OPM’s style, but if it came down to it, Flashy could probably just stab or slice his eyes. Darkshine would be done.

I would think Darkshine's eyes probably aren't as durable as his skin. There's not really a way to tell, but it wouldn't make much sense for them to be as tough as his muscles. So yeah, Flash could probably just stab his brain through the eye socket if it came down to it. And he is the type of person who would do that if he saw no other option.

While i do agree with everything in this video, it’s stated Darkshine physically gets weaker if he lose confidence, so i 100% believe a confident darkshine would be able to fight Golden S but he was intimidated by his superior looking muscles & garou was rapidly growing in power, no proof S gets stronger the more he fights. It’s a Jjk type of thing, if darkshine lose confidence he ends up nerfing himself

Still no answer to Golden obviously having the same cell count? Then once again - you are wrong. Same cell count = same power. So if speed increases other stats have to drop. It's common sense. Feats confirm this and you just downplay them again based on some vague claims about perfect merger than might as well simply mean Sperm values speed over strength. Your answers are just not satisfying and go clearly against author's intent. Recently Flash received burns from Sonic throwing some tiny explosives at him. Can you imagine Darkshine being bothered by those? Wrong answer!
I am convinced you watched the video with your eyes closed and your ears plugged. Literally everything in the narrative goes against Golden being stronger, or even as strong as Platinum. There's like 10 statements to the contrary.

1. Atomic Samurai says his aura is immense after seeing Golden and not saying anything.
2. Child Emperor say he is in his top form
3. Black Sperm himself stating this is his perfect form.
4. Black Sperm believes he can one shot King who killed Elder Centipede and whom Golden was weary about.
*Arguments AGAINST Platinum being stronger (as presented by yourself):*
1. Golden Sperm has similar cell count.
2. Golden Sperm is bulkier and more muscular, a fitting build for a more durable/stronger fusion while Platinum is built like an sleek athlete, fitting for a speedster.
3. Platinum couldn't kill weaker heroes like Atomic and Puri Puri.
Now, let's see your answers to the AGAINST arguments first:
1. Golden Sperm's count doesn't matter because... other arguments. Okay, so you HAVE no answer. So it is 1:0 for the Golden Sperm bro.
2. Golden Sperm is bulkier alright, but it doesn't matter, because, anime tropes, like Garou, etc. Bro.
The context here is a LOT different. Garou's limiter is beginning to break at that point. So very much like Saitama - his strength is starting to go beyond what is physically possible for a being his size. Darkshine can't believe it as well - he says "is he even human?" strongly suggesting it's just not possible to have that much strength with muscles that size, even by OPM logic and standards. That is not the case for Darkshine and Golden Sperm though. Golden Sperm's size is underlined specifically to showcase his strength. Darkshine says his muscles are bigger and then Golden Sperm one shots him, proving the difference in their muscles correct. So when his muscles are shrinking, why shouldn't we assume he is getting physically weaker as well? What exactly changed? This is the same entity we're talking about! When his muscles were bigger than Darkshine - he was stronger than Darkshine. But when his muscles got significantly smaller... he got even physically stronger? That's your logic? It's nonsense!
3. Platinum is just holding back... for no reason at all, it's anime bro. Also, his casual antenna attack is probably not that strong.

Platinum TORE ZOMBIEMAN IN HALF. He is not pulling his punches there. If he wanted to keep the heroes alive for some unknown reason, he wouldn't be actively hitting them hard enough to literally split them in two at the same time. Also, for some reason, you skipped Iaian there. I'm not sure why, but the fact that Platinum hit him straight in the face and he just woke up with no bruises on him even some chapters later, proves Platinum's strength is ABSOLUTELY a tier below Golden without any room for doubt. Iaian is the same guy who struggled against a demon level monster with two other A classes in the same arc. He is the same guy who got his arm ATOMIZED by a dragon level attack coming from Melzargard. Can you imagine Darkshine hitting Iaian and him not exploding, like we've seen demon level monsters do? Absurd! So how much was Platinum holding back exactly? Are you really suggesting he was, for no reason at all, suddenly he dropped his strength from like multi-continental to freakin building level? I'm sorry, but that's ridiculous!
And yes, there is further proof for that!
Platinum's antenna is NOT WEAK. Not even when he uses it casually. Just a couple chapters later, while still fighting 2 vs 1 against Flash and Garou, Platinum is still HOLDING BACK most of his power and speed, that he is yet to show when he is left with Garou for a proper 1 vs 1. And yet, he is using the antenna, in sync with his two fists, to stop FLASHY FIST! There is your scaling falling in ruin altogether. If Flash can go 100%, with his ultimate move, and Platinum can use his antenna WHILE HOLDING BACK to stop it, then there is no way in the freakin universe Flash scales above Darkshine.
In other words, arguments AGAINST your position all work very well!
But now, let's also talk about your positive arguments.
FOR:
1. Atomic Samurai's comment about an aura... is an argument from silence. In other words, not even demanding evidence by its very nature. Just because Atomic Samurai didn't comment on Golden doesn't mean he wouldn't do it. Maybe he was busy, ya know, dealing with the sunblade and all. Or maybe he did think of Golden similarly, we just didn't get the panel. It doesn't even matter. Unless we have a statement of Atomic literally saying "This aura is immense - MUCH BIGGER THEN THAT OF GOLDEN'S" or any other complementary statement, on its own, the statement can't be used to compare the two. It's a statement about Platinum's power. In isolation of any other info from Atomic. It means nothing to this debate.
2. Child Emperor says he is in his top form - another non-argument. This time, it's because it is an argument from the unreliable narrator. Child Emperor has not seen Platinum in action yet. He is obviously just throwing around guesses. And considering he still thinks King is the strongest man alive despite having like 500 IQ, I'd say that his opinion doesn't matter unless he has some data to work with. Next.
3. Black Sperm stating his Platinum form is the ultimate form is NOT an equivallent of him stating Platinum is his physically strongest form. Like I said in my original comment above, Platinum may be simply implying he doesn't need as much strength to deal with King and other heroes, that he only needs ultimate speed and they are all toast. And guess what bro, narratively THAT MAKES TOTAL SENSE. What does Golden Sperm say after one shotting Darkshine, supposedly the most durable hero? "Far too weak" for all Spem knows, heroes are not actually a problem due to their durability but sheer speed and numbers. Notice that he had problems with Atomic Samurai because of his speed in his sunblade form. If he easily one shots the most durable hero in his golden form but lacks the speed to deal with heroes like Atomic, choosing to amp his speed considerably at the cost of some of his strength doesn't seem like a bad conclusion.
4. You're saying it doesn't make sense for him to make himself weaker in front of King, but King is known for his STRENGTH not durability! Darkshine is the well known tank! Once again - as far as Golden knows, he is already more than strong enough to take any hero down after dealing with Darkshine that easily. Garou said the same thing earlier "If my attacks succeed against you Darkshine, it means there isn't anybody I can't beat" Golden EASILY one shots Darkshine, so it may be thinking "THIS is the best defence in the hero world? I must've put too many cells into my strength already... I'll shift some into speed with this next amp, then I'll be perfect to deal with this lot!" - Tell me exactly, what is wrong with that logic? It fits all the statements, and the narrative, and the feats as well.

Your main issue to me is that you are completely fixated on "power" or "perfection" and other clearly very broad statements necessairly implying increase of physical strength, while that is simply nowhere in the context and it is alien to OPM lore in general. There is a ton of characters who think of speed being the ultimate stat that indicates supreme power and disregard physical strength entirely. Look at Sonic and his "ultimate strength through speed" statement. And not just speed. Genos believes ultimate strength comes from superior firepower and never once focuses his upgrates on his mere lifting strength. Tatsumaki thinks ultimate power comes from telekinetic ability. Metal Knight - through sheer quantity and of advanced weaponry at his disposal. Drive Knight believes ultimate power is intel you have. Child Emperor believes its the intellect that makes you strong.
There are very few characters in OPMverse that would conclude ultimate power is physical strength. You NEED to prove that it applies to your case, you can't just assume it. There is no reason to think Platinum thinks he is perfect now because he is strongest. That's not what he is saying at all. What is Platinum telling King?
"Now that I'm Platinum, Ican just tank your motion canon"?
No.
"Now that I'm Platinum, I can just punch your motion canon away and overpower you with my strength"?
No.
He says that now... he can blitz and one shot King when he tries his ultimate move.

Context is there. Dialogue points that way too. There are the low strength feats with Iaian and PPP, there's the cell count co tradiction, even the design of the character. It all fits, it's OBVIOUS!
I’m if darkshine isnt confident in himself he looses easily. It’s why he lost to garou and probably why he got one shot by golden S because he was freaking out over someone having a better body than him.

Honestly agree with this. I am actually of the belief that Darkshine is the most durable s-class outside of blast the thing is it’s only when he believes this himself. He probably would have beaten ugly is he wasn’t made of acid (something that would have been an issue for golden s if it wasn’t for him being made of gold thus being resistant to acid.) I think darkshine could have kept up with golden s for a time (mostly as a punching bag) since durability wise he should be about as tough as golden s is strong he just lacks the belief in himself to make this ability truly usable

To be blunt, I don't like it. The manga took a major dip for me after Garou vs Bang concluded in general. That's not to say there aren't moments I like, but overall, I enjoyed it way less than the rest of the manga up until that point. The time reversal was just the cherry on top.

Anyway I disagree and say it would be a draw.
There is nothing to say Golden S could damage Darshine and just happened that acid is something Darkshine could not tank. If anything the likely outcome of the fight would be that neither Falsh not Darkshine could hurt one another. Flash doesn't have any attack strong enough to penetrate Darkshine defenses, since he doesn not use acid attacks and Flash couldn't cut that octopus thing skin and it was already said that blades does not work on Darkshine, and Darkshine is just not fast enough to hit Flash.
Darkshine face was visible heavily bruised after the golden s fight and garou made him spit out blood. Even if you dont think FF oneshot Darkshine their no doubt that his attacks will damage enough to eventually win.

I know, but there's a lot about it that I think is misunderstood, plus I've seen people requesting RUclipsrs to do it from time to time. Ane no one's actually done an updated video on this topic in 3-4 years.
As Platinum is transforming you can see the icon Jupiter surface texture with is not present with golden S birth. This to me makes the most sense to why platnum is far stronger even if his cell count is lower.
