SING IT!! Kim's range increased in extension and quality around 2012 to 2015. From 2015 to 2019 her voice was unstoppable! In 2020, she caught COVID and her tone and breath support change a bit. But NOW she is getting it back and the range is UP THERE around C6!!! Thank you for your reaction! Ms. Kim Burrell is just ridiculous with these notes... she is on fire..that is why Harry Connick Jr. always spoke so highly of his friend. He was a fan of the runs and he said that Kim did it best.
@@pearcetaylor7019 I know. I meant to say it was clear (for her). She often sounds hoarse and/or like she needs to clear her throat to me -- but I've gotten used to it. I think it's actually made her voice more recognizable.
Singers SHOULD get better over the years. If they deteriorate instead, then they're either doing something harmful to their instrument with the way they're singing, or are just not practicing. Happy to hear her shine with age, rather than loose range. That's how it's done!
@prince bryant iii True. Hormones rule soooo much in the body and illness is, of course the exception to the lazy rule... however also many illnesses arise through mistreating the instrument. And I think aging is a smaller factor than many believe. With the right training even very old people can keep up with amazing vocal capability.

It was very audible and clear. It also didn't seem that hard for her -- especially given she was sitting down.
