I heard that Beyonce sometimes sings Kim Burrell's "Holy Ghost" as part of her prep before going live, or something like that. There's a video of Whitney singing that song while on a ride somewhere on the internet. Like someone else said, Jazmine Sullivan studied Kim as well. She's an institution in the black female vocal world.
