Also kinda adds to Alex's pretentious character, like he's trying to make simple elevator ride as epic as possible. He is just silly like that. Our inner dialogs can be stupid and pointless when we got nothing to do but wait, I think he can be relatable in the worst ways possible. I like Alex YIIK, he's cool.

They add a new mythic item that’s a record. It’s a consumable that you get 1 of and it deals one damage. You can only get it from killing the Alex NPC on the map.
I really like all the changes they made to the game, even the small ones. Like the UI: It's offset, has a really good font, and the lines are spaced better. The run feature is also a neat addition, all good RPG's need a run feature. I think the best improvement however is the fighting system, once so bland and boring now super flashy and full of life and style (like Persona 5). I'm really glad the Allanson bros are doing better and are taking the criticism from their detractors to heart and using it to make such incredible improvement (like the aforementioned Dialog box, I distinctly remember Running Shine making a criticism about it). I wanna see this studio succeed and see that their efforts at improving their game was worth it.

The new battle system looks great!! I noticed that Wilhelm went into the bleed state when he still had Karta. Did Sammy get a pierce on the boss or something? Or did Wilhelm get into the bleed state because Alex used that Heart Karta?
God, I remember when the game was really ragged on in the beginning for the tediously long attack animations and stuff like that as well as Alex being a self insert/bad protag and “game isn’t art” debacle. For me, it was pretty much a guilty pleasure because while the game was objectively not good gameplay wise, I still liked the game’s visuals and the writing had untapped potential that was somewhat ruined by odd timing, telling rather than showing, and the odd ending imo. It’s great to see it being improved in such a massive way and the gameplay looks much more engaging and sleek. Not sure about the writing since I’ve only seen YIIK before the massive improvements through Manly but I remember the Golden Alpaca scene being improved immensely into becoming a somewhat serious scene that didn’t ruin the tone of the current scenario. I also hope there’s accessibility options like disabling flashes or something for colorblind people since I’m liking the new UI but think it might be a bit much for some people! Only thing is that some cutscenes definitely look odd in terms of camera angles like Sammy being Taken but that can probably be fixed since it’s honestly a bit disorientating.
