He was originally supposed to be like this (of course not lvl 90 hard, but similar/same attack patterns) when u first met him at the start of the game, but a lot of people got beat up so hard by him so they changed him lol
I friggin love this fight. No gimmicks, just straight up fist fight, unlike the Hologram Mephis, where you could die to a random offscreen clone shooting beams.
Nice vid. I can now fight crownless as intended. I did beat til crownless V with some unconventional strats without knowing crownless’ full kit using my only built characters: encore(to deal dmg with her reso skill and her ulti when he is stunned) and havoc mc to do the running/escaping(using excarat when he is using his combo attacks). I haven’t attempted VI yet since the cheese strat that i was using could only go so far. But thanks to the knowledge you have bestowed us I think i can finally do it as intended and beat him without using unconventional tactics. Thanks.
I usually die in the second phase because he attacks so much that I just run out of stamina if I panic dash even a little bit. That's how most of my runs ended.
One of the reasons why this fight is so difficult for me is that the lock on camera on mobile always looks straight at the bosses and not an overview, making it difficult to see and respond on what the boss is doing. Adding to the fact that effects make you blind. as well as damage numbers that can't be turned off. I'm somewhat fine with the effects, but the damage number is the main culprit for the difficulty in seeing the attack
I braindeaded tier 5 at lvl 70 with Alto, let him do his stupid combo on his mirage for all I care. That being said wow I didn't know Heron could ground him like that, are their any other echos that can do that to him? Can Jinshis sword rush do that?
I think that move counts as a "Special Skill", and Heron's atk has the effect of canceling them if it hits. There are some other echoes like Rock Guardian and the new Lumi Construct that does the same thing but they're both parries, so idk if it's effective against Crownless.

@@Foxcolor try that in a phone where it can only handle the lowest of settings, and theres alot of VFX, the fps gosmes down as low as 10-15 fps

If you counterattack after dodging the initial uppercut + plunge combo you can knock him out of the air and can get a free combo off it.

No, red flash parries require specialized echoes such as the Herons, Lumiscale Construct and I think Rocksteady Guardian
