  • This is a tour of the Sunlight T67 motorhome, both inside and out. It measures 738 in length, 233cm in width and 291cm in height and comes with a Fiat six speed manual gearbox with the new, low emission Euro 6 engine.
    Sunlight is trying to identify itself as a brand which embodies the active lifestyle - a vehicle which the company says is a sporty companion fand to this end it has adopted the slogan “freedom is my life“. As freedom is my life, it is logical that I should put this van through its paces - and in winter too! As far as the outdoor life is concerned, there is a great deal of room in the garage for bicycles, surfboards or anything else you may wish to play with in the great outdoors.
    Safety features include ABS, driver airbag and EBD electronic brake-force distribution.
    The soft furnishing mocca and dark brown fabric gives a modern ambience which provides a pleasant sense of space. There is also a very large table which is handy for eating and working and large windows, which allow light to stream in. The good news for the likes of myself, a person needing to work in the van, is that the table offers great office space.
    The downsides are that the van needs extra power - so go for solar, a second battery and install 12v plugs inside.
    I live in a motorhome full time and travel around Europe in it. I spend most of my time in Poland, Germany and Italy. Vanlife is my life.
    In my RUclips channel, I present reviews of recreational vehicles. Here you will find campervans and motorhomes from the cheapest camper vans to the most expensive luxury liners, from various companies including Hobby, Hymer, Carthago, Westfalia, Wingamm, La Strada, Frankia, Wavecamper, Maurer, Clever Vans, Pössl, Bürstner, Niesmann Bischoff, Action Mobil, Reisemobil Manufaktur, Robeta, Trigano, Challenger, EuraMobil, Laika, Forster, Mobilvetta Design, Affinity, Globe Traveller, Benimar, Roller Team, Adria, Tourne, Megamobil, VW, Mercedes, CS, Renault, Ford, Fiat, Carado, Sunlight, Baileys, Chausson, Balcamp, Knaus, Weinsberg, Mitsubishi, Woelcke, Reisemobile Bürow and others.
    I do this by regularly attending trade events such as CMT Stuttgart, Abenteuer und Allrad, Caravan Salon Dusseldorf, Warsaw Caravan and Camping Show and sometimes others.
    I cover equipment, including 12v electrical equipment and talk a lot about lithium batteries.
    I also show some of the places I have visited in Europe in my own motorhome, as well as the places you can stay at! I try to give as much coverage as I can to official campsites and free places which I use for overnighting. Therefore you can find here the aire or stellplatz that you are possibly looking for.

    Lovely video. My whole living space fits in the garage as I am living in a Transit Connect. I enjoyed this longer length video. ☺

    Hi Alan. Older video i know, but only just seen. There’s a lot of good info. in here. It would be great if you could try to incorporate comments about build quality in your reviews. As a potential first time buyer, many brands look alike on the usual walkaround. I have seen some videos with owners commenting on things like gaps, poor sealant, level of rattles whilst driving etc. I would guess that most loan or exhibition models will have been carefully prepared, so perhaps less to say, but I have seen examples even at shows. Your comments about the factory for this one were very useful. Maybe just worth following that line a bit further?

    • @VanlifewithAlan
      @VanlifewithAlan  6 лет назад

      Stuart it is a bit difficult to comment too much on build quality as that is normally something that only begins to tell after a bit of time in action and I am usually driving relatively new vehicles. However where I know of things which are bad, I say so! I am neutral - not in the pay of anyone (unfortunately)!

      Alan Heath thanks. I do understand it can be difficult and I’m sure we all value your independent view.

    I like watching the winter videos in summer and the heat is on this summer for sure. I agree no need to have a second bed . how well did it hold in the heat. Your Euro designs look great.

      It was OK in the cold but it never got really cold. The previous week I had been in a Hymer and that held up really well!

    Dear Mr Heath, thank you for your videos. I have been watching your videos and I really like it. I would like to buy one day a motorhome and I hear from you in this video that you do not like to have a bed above the driving place. Please can you write me why? Because Iam looking for motorhome probably with the sleeping space above the driving place as well. Thanks for your answer.

    • @VanlifewithAlan
      @VanlifewithAlan  7 лет назад +1

      The problem with a bed under the driving space is that it reduces headroom. For people under 180cm, a better bet is under the table as in this motorhome!

    Hello Alan! Which one you love more, this or the Hymer s500?

    • @VanlifewithAlan
      @VanlifewithAlan  7 лет назад +1

      Hard question. I don't know yet. This one has plenty of room but is harder to park. The Hymer is really warm but has not got internal room for my bike or much in the way of hanging space. It is a very hard question.

    Is there a separate AC in the coach during the summer when you sleep?

    This comment is on the wrong video but...in one of them you said you always leave the kettle on the floor so it doesn't slide off the the glass cover for the gas rings on the cooker, well on mine i have some of the anti-slip stuff, its thin and world perfectly, i can honestly say my kettle has never fell off the glass cover...have you tried or ever thought of trying it...

    • @VanlifewithAlan
      @VanlifewithAlan  7 лет назад +2

      Here I don't have to put the kettle on the floor as there is plenty of room for it in the cupboard!

    Alan, good video thank you. How would you rate the Sunlight for winter use? We are in the market and intend a lot of winter use. The Sunlight is a real contender and being from the Hymer group would suggest it works well. It seems that you were warm enough at minus 4 degrees. Did this particular model have any special options fitted?

    • @VanlifewithAlan
      @VanlifewithAlan  7 лет назад +1

      Steve, this has no special options fitted for the winter. I have been warm enough, the temperature fell to -4C however it is not as warm as the Hymer you may have seen me in a couple of weeks ago. As my temperature tolerance means I take lower temperatures than many people I would suggest you had a go. Last night it was below freezing yet I only waited for a few minutes for it to get really nice and warm inside. However it is not specially equipped for the winter and I would suggest you rent one first and then take it somewhere cold. In two weeks use in the winter, I am still on the same gas tank.
