    I saw some big gorgeous yarn at Michael’s today but had no idea what to do with it so passed it by. I’ll have to go back now!

    Pretty garland. Will have to make some. Great to put your Christmas cards on. Could just leave it vertical if you didn’t have a place to hang garland and it would look pretty for your cards. Thanks. Merry Christmas 🎄🌠

    A good place to get hooks and or knitting needles is wish.com if you dont mind waiting 3 to 4 weeks to get them. Also i find i can get most of the things in this video at walmart and sometimes dollar tree. If you are lucky enough to have an ACMoore close they are almost always lower priced than Joann's, Michael's, or Hobby Lobby.

    Tried a small sample piece and its sooooooo easy! Thanks! Gives me ideas to try this for other holidays as well such as red, white, and blue for July 4th...as a door garland or something like that. :)

    Cool beans! And if you hang the garland in a doorway, say, you could hang ornaments and other baubles from the crochetted chain! Love it! Ty, Melanie! ❤️ 🌲

    Was just thinking maybe use a thinner yarn and use 3 strands together such as blue, silver, and green. Ya know, Christmas colors!

    Hey Melanie! Great idea!!! Which yarn did you use??? How much yarn? Do you think the Bernat Jumbo Blanket yarn would work for this garland??? TIA

    • @ElishaPercival
      @ElishaPercival 6 лет назад

      I think it would, that was what I was thinking of using

    • @MelanieHam
      @MelanieHam  6 лет назад

      I think 1 ball unless you want something really large or multiple strands. Yeah I think that would look nice!

    • @lisachristiano9248
      @lisachristiano9248 6 лет назад

      I have 2 trees. An 8 foot tree and a 5 foot. Trying to figure out how many balls I would need for either tree. Is the yarn from Hobby Lobby wool??? I’m allergic and I’ve never seen that yarn before. I’ve only shopped online at Hobby Lobby.

    Just an idea but using this size is great for beginners tutorials. If I would have seen this would have made it so much easier 😂 think for the future!

    It would almost be easier not to use a hook but make it on your hand!!!

    • @MelanieHam
      @MelanieHam  6 лет назад

      Carol Curtis you can totally finger crochet this, it’s just a little trickier to keep it uniform which is where the hook is nice :)

      Then you need to try making something different than this. Walk away and come back when you get frustrated. I find making things like scarves for others helps bring confidence when you gift something to a friend.
