We’re an hour and some change away from playing I can’t wait to be able to play for a bit before heading to bed man thanks for the video I never understood how artifacts worked way back then
genuinely so freaking helpful!!! ive been using your videos to help explain to my roommate (who i will be playing thru with but never played the gcn) how things work, and this helps sooooo much!!!
While there aren't any artifacts that are missable, some of the +1 artifacts become very rare in the 3rd cycle and it's a good idea to farm those as much as you can in the earlier cycles. . It should also be noted that there are a total of 73 artifacts in the game and they break down like this: 23 strength artifacts 22 magic artifacts 15 defense artifacts 05 magicite artifacts 04 life artifacts 04 pocket artifacts
Hey great videos, a lot of good info delivered in a concise manner. Good luck with the channel, hopefully the FFCC community swells with the remaster. Loved this game for a long while, it deserves another moment in the sun.
Me and my waifu got this day 1 and started down the path to reliving the adventures we had when we were teens... good stuff. Love your videos btw, I actually never realized that you could run dungeons repeatedly for artifacts (like during the same cycle before the Myrrh regenerates) until the remake came out. I mentioned this yesterday while going through Selepation Cave (was talking about how it seemed like my attacks were kinda whiffing a lot) and my wife was like "Why don't you just go hunt a bunch of artifacts?" Felt like my brain exploded... like "Why hadn't it occurred to me to keep running the same place?" Its been fun though, we're having a blast. EDIT: As a side note, THANK YOU SO MUCH for linking the old players guide... I have a copy of it *somewhere* but can't find it anywhere so I've been reading half-completed webguides as a refresher!
@@ExplosivePeeps say you clear a dungeon on year 1, you have until year 3 to replay that cycle. Then the dungeon will upgrade. You can run dungeons as much as you want, regardless of myrrh being present or not. Even then, there are no missable artifacts so you can always find them somewhere :)
i never knew you got points for all that stuff on top of fulfilling your bonus each level. Now I can just be sure to clear out everything for those extra few points to reach the quota for the rarer boss sets. Though I haven't had any issues before, knowing that will help in the future
Oooh so the points have an important effect... Good to know! ^^ Thank you for explaining :D I played it on Gamecube when I was younger but never completed it and now I'm playing the remastered version. But I thought the points are only important for multiplayer. Well I know now I was totally wring XD
I don't have that yet, but it sounds like you got a valiant weapon scroll. Each weapon made from that scroll has a strength value of 31, depending on your tribe the max strength of weapons prior to hard mode can get up to 35(clav,Yuke,selk) or 40(lilty). The DLC weapons you can buy with real money have a 45 strength rating.
Hi, love your guides! Quick and straight to the point. I was wondering if you could do an overview of creating/playing 8 characters in order to have all the jobs in the village and get the best out of the game. I find that system a bit confusing... I have created one character (which I use to clear dungeons and progress with the story) and 7 others, just so I have them at my village. But, should I use them at the same time? Or is it OK for me to just move forward and work on other characters later on? Appreciate any insights! Thanks!
Thanks for watching! I do in fact have a families guide on my channel if you haven't already looked at that. Basically, if you want to increase the "levels" of the families of the other characters, simply speak to their respective father twice at the beginning of each year. You will see the increase in production level the following year. Ex. Blacksmith kid talks to blacksmith father twice, tailor kid to tailor father, etc... Hope that helped!
@@Battue64 awesome! So even if I don't start an adventure with another character, I can just switch them, speak with their fathers every year, and move on with my original character? That makes things easier. Thanks a lot! Will keep checking your guides!
Yeah, I thought the same yesterday, afer a friend (who plays light version atm) asked me if there is any level up because he got in the dungeon suddenly an extra slot in his command list. But we figuered it out fast why he had it XD
If you're playing multi-player, do you have to find an artifact multiple times to apply it to multiple characters? Or can you find it once then apply it each time you finish a dungeon?
I'm playing the demo rn and I just ran the 2nd dungeon twice and was able to pick two different artifacts each run and kept both. Is the new with the remaster or did I just misunderstand something from the video? Also, is there a way to get more moogle pockets permanently after the first artifact one given?
I think you misunderstood something, you can only choose 1 artifact each dungeon run, but you can run the dungeons multiple times to get all artifacts in it :)
Its when the myrh tree refills so you can do the dungeon again to get more myrh, the dungeons change from cycle to cycle enemies have higher stats, new enemies are added, new items can be obtained, sometimes new areas and chests can also be unlocked in cycle 2 and 3. You have to wait 2 years after completing a dungeon to do its next cycle. For example after completing River Belle Path cycle 1 on year 1 when you get to year 3 it will be on cycle 2 and the tree will be refilled. Also F that crab boss on cycle 3 of River Belle it spams Thundaga
hey im searching the star pendant for my last heart, and i went to lynari desert im at my 16th year so its phase 3 the dungeon, i got a score of 236 which is more than enough to get the set D of rewards and the star pendant appeared as an artefact to choose but is grayed out, why would this happens? the three doenst have a drop yet but i though that didnt matter for artifact hunting, is that why i cant get it or whats going on? btw i opened all treasure chests and in one of them was the star pendant so i though that increased my chances of get it even more, if you know what i could do here i will highly appreciate, thanks!
I love and constantly played the original but the remastered version i quit literally at the last level of the game. I quit for not the reasons others did, I quit right as I could no longer pick up artifacts mid stage for no reason. This was the last straw.
It'll be nice to play this game knowing what mechanics are rather than just being a kid playing it and thinking that none of this stuff was actually important.
Some dungeon goals seem a but ridiculous like do fusion spells when you're playing as a Lility which even more annoying is the most common goal for that race making it frustrating cuz you are playing a strength based character forcing you to waste time to achieve points
Hi sir Im not quite sure or get the dungeon cycle point of view. So the 1st cycle is the 1st attempt of the dungeon then the 2nd cycle would on the 3rd year then the cycle 3 would be on the 5th year? Is this right?
It still gives you random sets for some reason, you are basically just qualifying to get the life ring set. What I would do is get your points, beat the boss, and if you don't see the ring, close application and reload your auto save, you will have to fight the boss again but you will get another shot at getting the ring :)
Battue64 oh my God! You are a genius! Why haven’t I thought of that?? Thank you so much!! I will try again soon! By the way.. congratulations on your channel! FFCC is one of my favorite FF but it’s hard to see good content of it! Your channel is awesome!
when i played the gamecube version i got artifacts that were not in the pool or was not available until the second cycle but i got them in the first one
don't make the mistake and play through the game immediatly like i did! today i realised how frustrating it can be to get some of the darn weak +1 artefacts in 3rd cycle. the sad thing is they are in the 8 set and to get this item in the set you need to fullfill the bonus condition, kill everything, loot everything and even then you have not enough points so you are forced to kill a lot boss adds (with ~1 min respawn time) to have enough points for a CHANCE to get the right set wih the artifact what also drops very often in a treasure in cycle one. EDIT: you can get them a lot easier with the new dungeons via chest drop
Fantastic guide! I have just one question. If you miss the artefacts on cycle 1, can you get them on later cycles or should I find a player who's still on cycle 1?
You should be able to find them anywhere, either as a drop in dungeon or a different boss, depending on the amount of bonus points at the end. You won't have to rely on finding another person :)
Thomas Maas you can get every artifact in end game during cycle 3 of dungeons either as a bonus point reward or drop from chest or monster. But getting specific point reward artifact you need can be really all about luck
I'm on year 11 and haven't found a single ancient potion. Am I doing something wrong or am I not looking in the right places? All dungeons are at stage 3 besides the one in the abyss, the volcano, the desert, and moschet manor.
Is it possible to keep chosing wrong artifact to the point that you are too weak for final dungoen? i am worried if i messd it up then the end game might be too hard.
