Thanks a lot! 💛 The po33 is really a great little beast ✨ In fact, the workflow is quite similar to the SP404 mkII (which is a PO33 on steroids imo). Anyone familiar with the SP404 mkII will quickly adapt to the PO33 (and vice versa).
Thanks! I dont have any POs but a lot of the concepts can be applied to the SP404 as well. I feel like house is often overlooked with these devices so its great to get some input
Absolutely! I also have an SP-404 mk2 which unfortunately isn't used much (the POs usually take it out of the spotlight), but as I mentioned in other comments, the SP-404mk2 is basically a PO33 on steroids imo. In fact, the track "Contigo" that I did on the PO33, was originally created on SP404mk2, and then I recomposed it on the PO33.
@pockettrax i tried! But it might have a short.. batteries don’t work in my PO-28 and one of the batteries keeps getting hot, scary. Might be time to get a new device.
Thanks! The case is from Dich Studios. I actually made a review of the case (you can find the link in the description): ruclips.net/video/j7kYNVpnZSs/видео.html
Thanks! 🖤 To quote Shinichiro Yokota: "house is a simple language". Some nice drums, bass, and nice chords sprinkled with soul can be enough for a track. When it comes to pocket house, as long as all this fits in your pocket, it is enough haha. And in this, the PO33 can often do the job.
Thanks! Yes, the PO33 is definitely a great little beast. And I'm only scratching the surface in this tut of what we can do with it. As for the vocal, I used a sample I found in Loopcloud. A good rule of thumb is to use (or adjust) the vocal in the same key as the song.
@@pockettrax Thank you for the tip! Can you please tell (file) name of the sample file (the first is US2_126_D_Hey_Yeah but for second I searched there for few hours but cannot find it)? PS. I'm also just scratching the surface of SP-404-2 but principles are the same and I honestly impressed by your results with PO33.
Good catch, I didn't even know what was the name of the sample haha. The second one I believe you are referring to the vocal of the melody. I did it with Orbhits Plus (I edited and resampled layers from different presets and then played the melody and recorded it into the PO33). Btw, nice to know that you have an SP-404 mkII. Yes, the principles are basically the same, it's pretty much a PO33 on steroids. Actually, the SP-404 mk2 is the true successor to the PO33 (and not the EP-122) imo.
@@pockettrax Thank you. Yes, I talk about vocal of the melody. If you could make a tutorial how you did it, it would be priceless! Actually it would be equally great for both PO33 and SP404 owners (I still trying work my head about sampling, layering and re-sampling workflows ha-ha especially because of limitations for polyphony and minimum of simultaneous playing tracks / patterns; and sampled vocals combined and aligned with key and chords of the melody in this case is the most mystical and important part).
@@A-l5b9m Thanks for the tutorial tip! I might consider it. Just making beats and tracks, practicing, keeping a simple workflow, and above all trying to enjoy it is what matters imo. The PO33 is perfect for that. And the SP404mk2 too (it's basically a PO33 on steroids) Btw, do you have a PO33?
Everyone like and comment for the algo, this dude deserves it!
Thanks a lot for the comment 🖤 I hope this helps to create more house (and any other genre) with the PO33 ✨
@@pockettrax Keep on making these kind of tutorials my friend!
Sure thing, more on the way!
great job!
Thanks! Hope that helped and wasn't too boring!
Thanks for the great video
Glad you enjoyed it ✨
I like your idea on polyphony optimization, it is very useful. Great tutorial, thank you!
Thank you! Glad to know it was useful ✨
Great stuff. ❤❤❤
Wonderful tiny little machine❤
It really is ✨
I'm really interested and I'm leaving a comment!
I'm and old fart playing mainly electric bass but totally agree
Nice! I'll try this at home later!
Thanks! Hope it is useful and let me know what you think about it
I've never seen house music made on that device...Insanely dope bro🔥🔥🔥🔥

I really want you to show us how to structure songs on these little masterpieces. :) (Subscribed)
My pleasure 🖤 Actually that tut is on the way ✌️✨

Already saved it to watch it a couple times 😂 thanks for sharing this tutorial
Haha glad to know that, hope you enjoy it ✨
Nice work, interesting tutorial and great to see some of your techniques!
Thanks! 🖤 I hope it's useful for you to start pumping out some house (or even other genre) with the PO33
Wow
Thanks! And more are on the way, so stay tuned.
Nice, will watch tonight
Awesome. Let me know what you think about it in the end
I'm pulling my pocket operator back out the second I get home!
Yes! Just do it!

@@skidogleb Okay, that's not good. Well, I guess it's time for you to get a PO33 then!
Love this, and also, where did you get your case? Who makes it? I love your TE OP-1 style case too.
Thanks! You can find the case here: dichstudios.com/products/po-case-diy-kit
@pockettrax Thanks so much for the link, I've been looking for this for ages.
@@aquietgarden no worries!
really nice video! could you link the case for your PO?
