and yes, in the one million things that are happening inside us every moment, it is life living itself. 'we' are just deciding a handful of conscious decisions; movements and words and thoughts, etc. all the other processes happen under the direction of life, life thriving on its own accord, life living out of its own internal necessity/direction. i think another very basic key is to see we are part of a stream, part of a species, each person a small part of an ongoing wave, parent to child, extending, a oneness of species, and this within a greater oneness of earth life.
this core buddhist message has always made me proud to be buddhist 🕉️🙏🏾

yes, it's hard for us even to see the fact we are just another creature here on this planet we have named Earth. it's amazing the tricks a human mind can play on itself, to think they alone are created in the image of God, and other crazy ideas. in our struggle for meaning, in our loneliness as the only species we can communicate with (seemingly/deeply) we invent a lot of crazy speculation and idea brainstorms, which eventually become ideologies. so then we have all kinds of competing narratives and goals and ambitions.
This video opened up a different boundary of understanding. Amazing channel! KEEP UP THE WORK! 💪

This is similar to my thesis about Buddhism which is that the idea is not that it preaches a kind of "materialism" (only physical matter exists), but that rather it aims toward dispelling of the sense of ego so that God may step in its stead. There was not a you, just a heap of aggregates blocking the light of God in the same way a heap of stones at the entrance to a cave blocks the light of the Sun. But the existence of the stones does not make the light nonexistent, and likewise the existence of the light does not make any more the apparent vaguely man-shaped piling of them more than a mere accident of geometry.
(Though Buddha might not have preferred the term God as he associated it with dogmatisms of the various sects of his time; but when we break out of a dogmatic approach to anything and stop saying that this group or that is eight and wrong, then we are led to seek the unity of things, experiences, and perspectives; not their division and contestation.)

Our view of reality is like a map with which to negotiate and navigate the terrain of life. If the map is true and accurate the more the sense of joy, peace and love will be in the person, we will generally know where we are, and if we have decided where we want to go, we will generally know how to get there. If the map is false and inaccurate, we generally will be lost and suffering . While this is in a way obvious, it is something that most people to a greater or lesser degree choose to ignore. They ignore it because our route to reality is not easy. First of all, we are not born with maps; we have to make them, and the making requires effort. The more effort we make to appreciate and perceive reality, the larger and more accurate our maps will be. But many do not want to make this effort. Some stop making it by the end of adolescence. Their maps are small and sketchy, their views of the world narrow and misleading. By the end of middle age most people have given up the effort. They feel certain that their maps are complete and their Weltanschauung is correct (indeed, even sacrosanct), and they are no longer interested in new information. It is as if they are tired. Only a relative and fortunate few continue until the moment of death exploring the mystery of reality, ever enlarging and refining and redefining their understanding of the world and what is true.

The freedom we know is an illusion. Always was. It's a FARCE really. For all the talk of awakening vast multitudes are fast asleep dreaming lucid dreams. Awakening to Jesus' SAVING GRACE is the true *GREAT AWAKENING.* Jesus is the truth that sets us *really free* (John 8:36)
The wonder ends when you discover your innermost being under all the perceived 'I's is the Godself. 'I' am 'That'. 'Aham Asmi'. 🪷✨️
