The amulet is the exact same amulet that the og raiden was given liu kang brought back the amulet because he even said that the elder gods made it which ovi would not make sense for the elder gods to make several of these amulets and it was also proven that liu kang when he got the amulet he put raidens powers into the amulet which is the reason why liu kang does not have the lighting anymore and the blue fire is just a sign of him being the god of fire and the protector of earth realm which makes sense because in past mortal kombat the color blue was an indication of the protector of earthrealm

Liu Kang is the keeper of time, so he can basically forge everyone's destinies. From the Elder Gods, to Gods to mortals...
He only keeps time, he can't control anyone or their abilities. Someone commented on another video something very true, if the keeper of time could control people then Kronika could've just killed Raiden in MK11 and been done with him. But the keepers of time can only control and reset time, but all the characters have their own free will

To me, Kitana taught him how to unlock and use his fire elemental. After all, traveling to a foreign realm and meeting the inhabitants who practice magic could have a consequence. What a coincidence. Onaga was the ruler of Outworld and he gave Shujinko powers to copy any fighting style, Johnny Cage got his powers while fighting Shinnok and Kenshi got telekinesis by fighting Ermac using Sento. Although Liu Kang had fire powers before he met Kitana, maybe he did not learn how to master his Chi as yet because being a Shaolin monk takes years or more to master the various styles and traditions, if you know what I mean.

All Lui Kang did was reset the timeline. People kept their abilities. Like the flash movie it explains how changing any event in time still has a point of similarity and difference (mileena has the mouth but this time its not from tarkattan breeding)
I'm not sure about that. Obviously we know that Any of them could've reset the time line, didn't need god powers for that.
But then we saw liu in this new past with the ancestor kung Lao, and he still had the same appearance as the dual fire/thunder god.
Maybe he gives it up, or loses it when 'raiden' is (re)born? We still don't fully know all the changes liu enacted, and I'm really looking forward to seeing everything that's changed.
@@juliantapia1407 Lui Kang was the new moulder of time who made a peaceful world and stepped down. He wanted to see the world make itself instead. Everyone kept what they had because it had always occured in timelines. He didnt want to tamper with anything and seeing as DC and mortal kombat co exist, its the only explanation. No theories needed as lui kang introduced himself to the new kung lao and raiden because he'd only just stepped down at that point. Same with kenshi going blind from reading the book of knowledge, in the new game it might be something different but ut was confirmed we'd be told the new story. The only reason titans dont dictate anymore is because lui kang and raiden merged to destroy kronika, scorpion had the potential to kill another titan. Instead of opposing, scorpion and sub zero still have their powers but are now 'brotherly'.
@@juliantapia1407 when Shang Tsung won, he absorbed fire god lui kang with raiden merged but made a new timeline where he was an elder god and raiden and fujin still exist. Due to Shang wanting to always win, he wouldve killed lui kang in every timeline to assure no threat to himself. Thus meaning characters always keep everything

See the dialogue of kung lao and kenshi it states that earth realm’s champion are rewarded by the amulet which is bestowed by Thunder God Raiden in Mortal Kombat 11 when he took it from Shinook and make him evil. That amulet rewarded into him which unlocks his powers that is already been there.

İmagine if the new era(mk1 and the games that will be sequel) and old era(not mk1,mk2 etc im talking about mk9,10,11) crashes in one of the games(it wont make sense at first game) and everybody starts a fight except mk1 liu kang and after like 2 episodes they finally understand that they are not enemies and than they team up for a big enemy(shang tsung,kronika,shao kahn or someone else) and in the end mk1 liu kang sacrifises himself to defeat enemy but there will be so much deaths from new and old era and both of the era's mix and in the other games we see some characters from new era and some dead characters replaced with their other era forms

He wasn't born with his powers in this timelime, it comes from the medallion. In the trailers and every match opening he holds the medallion and is empowered by lightning.

As of MK12 being released, Raiden is now a human, and got his powers after winning his title as the representative of Earthrealm, by Liu Kang giving him an amulet forged by the elder gods, giving him the power over lightning and thunder. And yes, RAIDEN IS VERY MUCH INDEED YOUNG AND IS IN HIS HIGH SCHOOL DAYS
Actually, the real deal is that in MK11, Lui Kang promises to rebuild the past to raiden. Hence, he alters the timeline to where it all started. And he gives raiden back his powers which he deserved. This raiden we see is the raiden in all other mortal komabats but, his past has been shown in MK1

if you guys pay attention closely to the story there is no Lou lang in the timeline because he a god , Young raiden is the replacement for Lou kang and Lou kang replaced raiden as an elder god . They hint at it in the fight with kitana when he says he wish it could be under different circumstances, mr lou kang has said that in every campaign in the first fight with kitana
My theory is the Reincarnation theory of Raiden and possibly Liu Kang gave him the Lightning powers. That’s why we don’t see Liu Kang with Lightning in the new game
