Moringa is great to grow. Just be careful about overwatering. Also don’t plant it too early. It will literally not grow until the temps are warm. I’m trying ashwaghanda this year also. Looking forward to your herb garden!
Too much water will kill the plant, they like the temps extremely hot, arid, like Florida. Plus they are invasive. Not sure about the dwarf seeds you have I did try growing them in Tn no luck .
I started moringa the last 2 springs and the first time a squirrel ripped them up. The second year my cat did..😂 this never happens with any other seedlings . I will have protect some how this year
I buy moringa greens from the grocery store to use in my beauty products, but I also have cooked the leaves sautéed with onions, peppers and tomatoes. It’s a mild flavor. We also use the powder in our smoothies. I just sowed some dwarf moringa seeds yesterday because I want to grow my own tree.
I use moringa and black seed oil on a daily basis. Love love them. No more signs of cancer from acid reflux. My GI dr. Honestly had an appointment scheduled for me with a cancer dr. And had to cancel it. Amazing
Yes! We have already accepted the fact we will need a house for citrus and fruit, another for our warm rooted friends and another for everything else! Here in the U.P. plus the chem-trails the sun is nasty on everything. Folks will say they have had a good harvest but they aren't getting anywhere really without a house. The corn here is a joke from 20 years ago.
Baker creeks moringa (dwarf) is fun. I'm in Maryland and sprouted 4 last summer. It did not make it through this winter. I think had I brought it in to the house it *may* have?? If I had a temp controlled or grow space that will up zone the climate it will make it. I'm glad you brought up Ashwaganda....it's one Ive been wondering about so it's helpful. Thanks!
Hi! Thanks for all the wonderfully informative videos. I really enjoy them as well as this one. I did want to point out though. I used to have mugwort in my front front yard which was there when I moved there. It was highly invasive very difficult to control and kept spreading. If you grow it, beware. You may want to grow it into a closed container. It's roots. Will probably try to spread through the container as well so be really cautious. Otherwise you will grow nothing but my ward in that space and neighboring spaces forever. Good luck. Looking forward to the next video!
I would love to see you do a hydroponics system (or even better an aquaponics system) for your high tunnel. It will allow you to make tons of plants rapidly, and it makes for riveting content! If you do raised beds, please try to incorporate square foot gardening techniques and companion planting in your greenhouse.
If you can grow a tomato plant, you can grow a Moringa. I'm in USDA Zone 5b and I have my trees in the house in winter, keeping them pruned to just under 8 ft. As soon as all threat of frost is over, they go outside until autumn frost threatens, then back inside they come. 5 years now.
@@eightysixcommunism2827 I've got one in a 25 qt square planter and the other in a 65 qt one. Have them sitting on plant dollies to make it easier to move them around.

Hey, how are you and your family and your animals? Have you heard of Rhodiola Rosea it helps increase energy, stamina, strength, and mental capacity, improve athletic performance ,stress, and help manage depression and anxiety. Is hard to find a good company to buy the seeds to grow it at home. Just wanted to share that with you and thank you for sharing your wisdom it helps me. Thank you for sharing where you got the seeds from. It is helpful. I want to do a medicinal garden to help me and my family with our health. Psalms 51:7 "Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." God bless you, your family, friends, aminals, and your channel. 😊❤
Is the fabric bags safe to grow in? I'm building a new raised garden this spring, and those would save some money so i dont have to build all the beds this year.
Don't get me wrong, I love dogs, but I find it very distracting trying to watch someone with animals taking their attention throughout the videos. I have noticed this on some of your other videos too.
Your moringa wants heat to germinate. I started a whole pack and none came up so I called Baker Creek to ask and they told me to start them on heat, works. The trees smell like peanut butter. :D
Hello again. Hey regarding beds, have you thought about maybe doing elevated pallet beds. One they are or can be free, depending where you go. Two if they are free, you wont feel bad when you do replace them and three, they are super easy to put together. Best of luck and many blessing to you and your new journey in the high tunnel.
You best put that St. John's Wort in a container of its own. Ask me how I know. LOL. And you're going to grow some Hyssop. Cool. Will be interesting to hear how the Black Cumin goes. Never grew that. Have you ever grown wormwood? Having a hard time the past 3 years to get that to germinate.
We cold treated our wormwood and it came up in 10 days. One plant was enough! Super pretty and soft too. Grew Anise Hyssop and her seeds spread little wonder babies everywhere. Found one hiding next to the house last summer and moved it to a safe place. Smells amazing! 5b. U.P. Michigan
I give my dogs black cumin seeds oil during the warmer months when the fleas are out and ticks because it helps with Lyme disease and protecting them from Lyme disease. Also, it's good to reverse stroke symptoms
I very much enjoy your channel and your presentation, thank you. I live in Western Mass. a year ago I purchased a smallish raised bed and I would like to get maybe 4 recommendations for 4-6 herbs, medicinal, I could grow in the few fabric pots I have and put them into said raised bed. I am on the southern side of my condo building, lots of sun in the spring/summer, Would you have any ideas? Thank you so much. I retired last fall and have had an interest in medicinal plants for a long time. The raised bed is 32 inches long by 12 inches wide.
Get a white cloth cover for the scorching sun type days. The greens love the heat but the roots can get too hot and get upset. Medicinals are wonderful! Hope this helps. 🙏
Here in Massachusetts, I have grown Moringa. It grows very fast and it is important to start it in a container that does not require upplanting because it does not like to be transplanted. It is so nutrient dense and also detoxes harmful elements from our blood, or so I read a number of years ago. Love this video and love your passion.
If you want ashwanganda seeds I just harvested a bunch. Comment back if you need any. I have moringa seeds too. Willing to donate some seeds to you if you're willing.
Didn't see the whole video before offering but seems you have both of these. Still have lots of other random seeds nonetheless. If you're down for a surprise seed package let me know.
Great video! Thanks for sharing the ideas and congrats on the new website and classes. They look amazing. Did you mention a code for the seeds? Couldn't find it.
My husband recently told me the Linden tea I made was great for his stuffy head and congestion on his morning commute. I love feeding back from people trying my teas. Everyone has a different reaction to taste or how it made them feel. I noticed I’m happier at work with tea made from flowers of herbs and orange honey. How do you decide what to mix in your tea blends? 😊
I love your excitement! ❤ I’ve been growing medicinals for over fifty years and still love learning about things! You bring a wonderful new spin to the herb community! Thanks for sharing your love of the plants! It’s work time in the tunnels, lol. What is the link and code to survival seed company? I've used them before. Good company. I'd love to see the Moringa because I bought some from Baker Creek and had bad luck keeping it alive. Not sure what I did wrong :(
I love love my grow bags. We've been building on another property so haven't wanted to invest in garden beds the last few years. So, grow bags it is! I've grown everything from herbs to a fig tree. Bonus, I just have to load them up to the new property and all the soil comes right with me.
Black Cumin Seed Oil is NASTY tasting. The most awful, taste like Turpentine or similar. The Capsules are okay. The seeds are okay, but the oil? Straight? Forgettaboutit!!!
I was so excited to see you mention andiographis. I grew the king of bitters last year but I never harvested it. I had a difficult time finding information on this herb and I was kinda scared to use it😂If you could do a follow up on how to prepare and use that would be so appreciated. I don’t like just scrolling through and listening to anyone when it comes to medicinal herbs. I follow both you and Jill because I trust you both, I feel you guys put out solid information.

Hello :)
I lived in Adana for 4 yrs. Been many many years ago
I just bought the seed packets! I am so excited to start my herbal journey! Thank you for the discount coupon
Moringa seeds are used to purify water in some countries
Moringa is my absolute favorite. I would suggest placing it in the center of the tunnel, though. Mine was 8ft tall last year.
What zones can moringa grow successfully in? I am in zone 4b with a high tunnel.
@@lendawebb4909Those temps are worth a try, especially if you have the house stuffed thick enough to hold heat.

Hi hi 😁 👍
Andrographis is a fun herb! 🌿 But so not tasty
Hi so tell me a bit about your high tunnel? What kind of material do use I’m really hesitant about doing plastic is there another way
Cloth will most likely tear.
Poly/plexy boards might be another option for you. Large greenhouse ops use them.
Will all your new seeds be organic?
Hold PK still I can't take notes cause Idk how spell the one from thi grandmother
It is Andrographis paniculata :)
Strange...my comment is missing and I know left it here...
I am a simple lady...you say herbs, I listen. 🌿
I saw that too… I yt may have held it for review! I’ll check :) and yay Herbs!!!

I wouldn't order those seeds unless they were organic.
Same with those Oats about having to be organic
Trusting the source...
Organic depends on the honor of the source. She knows HOSS.

A good place to get herb seeds that has lot varieties is STRICTLY MEDICINAL SEEDS. I've found a lot of hard to find seeds there
I’ve used them as well.. I had a decent germination rate!
My granddaughters absolutely love Butterfly Pea tea with lemon.
If you dig down 50-70 cm you get extra height and a little ground heat benefits 🙏
