@@mosszaphod YES I did get a pair of white EVOX 12s and I really like them. I still have a pair of Evolve 50s and use them for some smaller events, e.g., last night I did a private event for 75 people and the Evolve 50s did OK (they sure are convenient though!). BUT you should know AI put the Evolve 50s on my uplight flight cases to get them above the heads of people. Today I'm taking my EVOX 12s to a wedding of 120 people and they'll do great in that particular space. Yes Tom is a dealer for RCF. Let me know if you need his info
yes- wonderful and excellent demo/presentation. For my application I would like to eventually hear the Evox 12 in a live music performance situation with 3-5 piece group. I prefer the detail in the low mids as it is crucial to vocals and instrument frequency ranges. I’ll be re watching this video a few more times. You had me at Diana Krall. 🙃
Yup feel your pain. I will quite often add an external powered sub to a pair of Evolve 50s. Amazing how the clipping pretty much disappears (for the small-medium size crowd).
@@donwoodbury I love my evolve but compared to my Bose L1S which says it’s only 118db peak compared to evolve 50 126db the Bose seems louder I guess because it’s throwing sound 180 and I’m getting lots of sound behind it when DJing or karaoke gigs. Just my observation/opinion.
@@chromemusic4401 I think the 180 degree dispersion DOES make them seem louder. I like bose to a point, but whenever I've A-B'd Bose vs. Evolve the Evolve 50 gives a better sonic performance. The other thing I prefer the Evolve 50 for over the bose, is that the 180 degree dispersion pounds the DJ harder, and your hearing conversation matters. Haha that said, the Evolve 50 is plenty bad on pounding the DJ vs. an Evox 12, for example.That's one of the reaons I'm moving to Evox 12. Cheers
There is a paradox that European RCF speakers have a muscular American-style sound quality, while American Electrovoice's sound quality is as delicate as a European speaker.😂
The comparision is not fair. Evox 12 is a bigger system, so compare it to the Evox 8 and the EV will crush it easily. And it does a pretty good thing against the bigger Evox 12 too (the sub won't fit in most sedans, coupes etc.) too! This makes me more convinced on how well the EV Evolve 50 will do in most small to medium size venues, pretty sophisticated sound with the Celestion speakers in them.
Das wird nicht gut funktionieren, bei 100 Leuten benötigst du einen guten räumlichen Klang, der mit nur einer Box nicht zu schaffen ist. Die 12er sind sehr gut, aber das ist physikalisch nicht zu stemmen.

Evox 12 sounded great.
Yep love my 50 but it definitely clips and I’m always looking for the light in front. 126db is highly inflated as do most companies

Great demo .. However, it kinda showed how the lil guy hung in there.. Would you consider adding a powered sub to the Evole 50s a good solution?
Absolutely yes add a sub to a pair of Evolve 50s and you'll be surprised at how much less you're limiting the EV 50s.

Yup have 3 sets of 50s and they serve a purpose. Just not quite enough height and SPL. EV would do well to come up with an “EV75”
YES. I have used them and there is absolutely no question that they would handle 300 with ease.
