I wish we could see Mikey at ADCC

@@jonasjorgensen8759 he’s dropped out 3 times. He has “surgery” but he’s competing a week later for ONE championship. It’s the one rule set where he won’t take gold so he doesn’t want to compete in it.

@@jonasjorgensen8759 it’s more aggressive and predicated on control. Wrestling is big in ADCC. Mikey is much more a traditional jiu jitsu practitioner. He’s VERY good, but he doesn’t have the wrestling. Traditional butt scooters don’t do as well (as a whole, there are exceptions) in ADCC. It’s very scramble heavy since you need to have your opponent pinned for 3 seconds for a takedown to count and have to maintain positional control for a position advancement to count. So instead of passing guard to side control and getting points, you have to pass and then maintain control for 3 seconds to score. That means those 3 seconds the person on bottom will do whatever they can to get their back off the mat, often leading to scrambles and wrestling exchanges. Mikey doesn’t have that in his wheel house.
It's a shame Mikey isn't competing. He seems to be as good in No Gi as in the Gi

Change the way your subscription service works then ya filthy dogs! I'm a grappling fan who would buy this event on its own. But I'll be reading play by plays or watching a fight companion. Guess I'm not a real jiu-jitsu fan
woah you don't want to grossly over pay for a streaming service that can't even get the names, times, colors right on their fight graphics? Or even keep the camera on the fights in question? Or has to mute their own fight footage because of copyrighted music played at their event? totally not a real BJJ fan 😂🤣
