I haven't tried Vinh Hoa Restaurant yet, but the dishes look yummy. I am happy you finally got your power back this week. Houston does normally have these issues, but every so often. This storm was like a huricanne when winds get up to over 100 mph. Most of the time, it is a jurricane sxare, but it can happen. It is one of the things that you have to put up with in addition to the hot summers. As you mentioned, we do not realized how fortunate we are until it disappears. I agreed with you that we are verry lucky to have all the good things in life easily available to us (that we take for granted) I will not bored you with other information that I will share with you in the future. You deserve a long weekend after facing the week without power.👍
It's okay, it was a blessing in disguise because we need to go through these things in life to continue to help mold us into the people we are today. Without pain and hardship, we could never truly be grateful for all that we have. These experiences humble me as a person and puts me back in my place, and reminds me to never take anything that I have for granted, period. Hehe yep I'm a dedicated foodie, I would probably even drive hours for some good food lol. And yep you're absolutely right, it's another thing we have to put up with in addition to the horrible heat! Glad you got power back lol..that dang fried lobster and soft shell crab looked good.. We had no power for a week, after that I had installed a complete house generator runs off natural gas. Now I am the only house on my street with full power when power ever goes out lol...best investment ever. Love those neighbors
That fried lobster was freaking delicious lol. That's actually what we are going to do moving forward with the generator we just bought and have it run off natural gas as well. This doesn't happen often here in Texas, but when it does..it hits you so hard!! So I think it's totally worth it too
Just make sure generator will provide enough power for all your needs, especially with A/C on. Auto transfer switch that will turn generator on when power is off.
Glad you are okay and have your power back. My power came back on that night at 8:00 pm, while some of my neighbors didn't get theirs back until a few days later.
