@@billshowto I'm paranoid so I put an extra Deadlock on the door. If the thieving bastards want to break in they are going to have to work for it. Alarms *and* camera systems along with the three locks (security door) makes next door look a lot more attractive. Sorry neighbours.
I wish I had this video 10 yrs ago when I accidentally locked the door. So Hubby said I'll fix it. So he ripped the lock out, left a hole in door (where the handle was) damaged the door jam. What a mess. I still love him to this day..even though it was my fault🤣
I found myself locked in a bedroom at a motel years ago. I went to bed, woke up at 2am to go to the toilet, couldn't get out of the room. No phone with me. Talk about claustrophobia setting in! Luckily I had a water bottle in the room if you know what i mean... But after half an hour or so of frustration, i remembered i had my swiss army knife in my bag, and being a cheap lock, i was able to dissemble it enough to be able to get it open. As we were checking out i handed the pulled apart lock to reception, and told them i wouldnt be darkening their doorstep again. To this day I check any lockable motel room door is actually unlocked before i close it! It was not a pleasant experience!
You could always become the _BillsLockpickingHowTo._ 😁🤦♂ I got a bit cunning and the doors have a lock mechanism that you operate from the inside (no key) but it has a small recesses release "button" on the outside. Put them on bedrooms, toilets and bathrooms so you aren't _caught in the act_ in any of those rooms. A lock like that can probably be opened with the dreaded *Wave Rake.* Just wave the rake in front of the keyhole and it will open from fright. *Thanks* for the video Bill. Appreciated as always. 👍👍

Literally me right now. Moms always in my room for no reason and I have a feeling she’s snooping/trying my clothes/using my skincare my friends gave on my birthday without me knowing. I am 14 so moving out is not an option and this crafty guy in my geometry class told me i can just change the doorknobs but i had this gut feeling that any door can be opened regardless of the locks, and here I am.

Thieves already know this. My apartment 40 yr ago was burglarized like that because landlord was too cheap to install a deadbolt. So I did.
I've seen the credit card trick to unlock doors in countless TV shows. Always wondered if it would work. Now I know. Very clever. Thanks!
Yeah this has been my go-to move for years. My kids were forever locking themselves in the bedroom.
